"And then after angel school the angels are gotten their angel duties," I said. "Mikey, your mom is protecting orphans for her angel job."

My dad and Mikey stared at me in confusion for a moment.

"And this was...this was a dream?" My dad asked.

I shook my head. "This is what happens when you die."

They looked at each other while I smiled.

"And where'd you hear this from?" Mikey asked.

"Frankie," I said.

"Do you want a nap before we go out?" My dad asked.

I shook my head, kicking my feet happily. We were going out to buy my princess dress today. Mikey and Pete were coming too to help me pick one out.

"He'll be here in five minutes," Mikey said, looking at the text on his phone.

I hurried into the other room to get my shoes on as Frank tied them for me.

"You're really keeping the baby?" I heard my dad asked.

"Yeah, we are," Mikey said.

"Good, I don't want you having an abortion," he said.

"I wasn't really wanting one either I was just scared," Mikey said. "Oh, but don't say the word abortion around Gee, I told him the baby would go on a vacation."

"What's abortion?" I asked.

"Just another word for vacation," Frank said, helping me up to my feet.

The others walked in and I sighed as Frank left. We got into the car with Pete and drove to a big store.

"Are you two going to the princess ball too?" I asked.

"No, we're just gonna stay home and watch movies," Mikey said, holding Pete's hand.

We got to the dresses and I gasped as I saw them. There were all different colors and styles, I wanted them all.

"Who are you going with?" My dad asked.

"Ray," I said.

"He's the tall one with the curly hair, right?" He asked and I nodded. "He seems nice."

"He is," I said. "I was really upset because I didn't have anyone to go with so he told me he would take me."

"Do you need to buy tickets?" My dad asked. "I can give you money, what are they, sixty bucks?"

"Seventy," Pete said.

"Ray already bought them for us," I said. "He told me they cost less when you buy two."

"Alright, let me give you money to pay him back," he said. "But not right now, I don't want you losing it. Pick out a dress."

"But I want them all," I complained.

"You only need one," my dad said.

"But look at it this way, you'll probably be in high school for the next seven years so you'll get to get a new dress next year," Pete said.

I gasped happily and nodded.

"Okay, first pick a color," he said.

I bit my lip. "I like pink."

I went over to where there was a big section of pink dresses.

"I think you'd look sexy in black," I heard Frank say.

I looked around but didn't see him anywhere, the others didn't seem to hear him.

"Black," I stated, going to the black section.

"I thought you just said you wanted pink," Mikey said.

"I look sexy in black," I said.

"Do you even know what the word sexy means?" My dad asked and I shook my head. "Where'd you hear it from then?"

"Frankie," I said.

I looked through the racks of black dresses, biting my lip.

"Which one?" I asked.

"I think the one with the lace looks good," Frank said. "You'd look so good in that dress."

I smiled, picking out the dress he liked in my sIze.

"Go try it on," my dad said.

They stayed outside the room as I stripped to just my panties. I got the dress on and looked in the mirror.

"Too big," I pouted.

"Mikey, go grab him a dress that's a size smaller," my dad said and I heard footsteps leave. "You need to gain more weight again, Gee, you didn't eat a lot after Frank left."

Mikey handed me a dress over the top of the door and I got changed into it and thankfully this one fit. It was black and went all the way down to the floor. The sleeves were black lace that went all the way down the back to my waist.

"It's perfect," Frank whispered.

I looked at him in the mirror as he wrapped his arms around me from behind.

"You think so?" I asked.

He nodded, kissing my cheek.

"Gee, who are you talking to?" My dad asked.

I opened the door and smiled at them.

"Gee, you look beautiful," Pete said.

"I want this one," I said.

"Are you sure you don't wanna look at more dresses?" My dad asked.

"This one," I said.

"Alright, get changed," he said.

I went back, getting dressed into my white sundress with my pastel purple cardigan and light up shoes. My dad bought the dress and we headed outside.

"Can we stay for a little bit?" Mikey asked.

"Sure," my dad said. "You wanna stay with them, Gee?"

"I wanna go to the park," I said.

"Alright, I'll drop you off on my way home," my dad said. "And I'll put your dress in your closet. No touching it until the dance, understand?"

I nodded quickly, walking out of the mall with him. He drove me to the park before he left to go home. I sat on the swing in the empty playground, smiling when I saw Frank.

"You're gonna have so much fun at the dance," he said.

"I wish I was going with you," I said.

"Me too," he agreed. "But Ray's a good guy, he'll take care of you."

"I wanna go to the princess ball with you," I pouted.

I bit my lip, looking down at the ground when I heard voices. I got up, following the sounds to the bathroom. It was gross and dirty and the walls were covered in graffiti.

"What are you doing?" I asked curiously, looking at the two boys sitting on the ground, lines of white powder in front of them.

"Coke," one of them said. "Nice kicks."

"B-but I didn't kick you," I said in confusion.

"He means nice shoes," the second one said.

"They light up!" I exclaimed, stomping my foot.

"Cute," he said. "Wanna snort coke with us?"

I watched as the man used a rolled up dollar bill, snorting up the line.

"It looks fun," I said, sitting down.

"Go home, Gerard," I heard Frank say.

"Why?" I asked.

"Why what?" One of the men asked.

"Go home, baby boy," Frank said. "Right now, these are monsters."

My eyes widened as I looked at them.

"I have to go, Frankie says you're a monster," I said.

They stared at me in confusion as I quickly got up and left. I walked out and Frank held my hand as we walked away.

"Why are they monsters?" I asked.

"Because that white powder was a drug," he said.

"What's that?" I asked.

"You know the thing I was smoking when I crashed?" He asked and I nodded. "That was a drug. The white powder is a drug except it's even worse."

"Would it kill me?" I asked.

"It'd probably fuck you up," Frank said. "You're too innocent for that shit."

"Why'd you have to do that?" I asked.

"We've been over this, sweetheart," he said. "It was stupid, i wouldn't have gotten stoned if I knew I was going to crash."

"Stoned?" I asked. "L-like putting rocks on your head or something?"

"No, babydoll," he said with a small chuckle. "It's not like that. It's just, like, how you are when you smoke weed."

"How does it feel?" I asked.

"It...fuck, it feels good," he said.

"Can I try?" I asked.

"No, fuck no," Frank denied.

"Why not?" I pouted.

"Because that shit got me fucking killed," he said. "And you're too young for that."

"Young?" I asked. "I'm eighteen, you were the same age as me."

"I know but mentally you're younger," he stated.

"What's that mean?" I asked.

"You know how the big kids at school know more stuff and have an easier time learning harder stuff?" He asked and I nodded. "It's because they're mentally older, it's easier for them. You're younger than them mentally."

"Is that bad? Is there something wrong with me?" I asked.

Frank stopped, putting his hands on my shoulders to look me in the eye.

"There is nothing wrong with you," he said. "You're perfect just the way you are."

"Is that why the kids at school call me mentally retarded?" I asked. "Is that the same thing as mentally young?"

"No, baby, it does not mean the same thing," he denied. "You're not retarded, okay? You're so fucking perfect."

"You think so?" I asked.

"Are you kidding? It's a fucking fact," he said. "You're the most perfect boy in the entire world."

I smiled, leaning forward to give him a kiss.

"I think you're perfect too, daddy," I said.

He wrapped his arms around me and I rested my head on his shoulder. He held me, swaying softly as he hummed.

"I can't wait until the princess ball," I said.

"You're going to have so much fun there," Frank said. "And if you don't then beat up Ray for me. He better treat you like a damn princess."

"You really think I'm gonna have fun even though you're not there?" I asked.

"Of course you will," he said. "And you're going to hang out all night with Brendon and Ray and Ryan. And you're gonna talk and dance and have the best night of your life."

"I think the best night of my life was the second night at your grandpa's," I said. "It's was so much fun. We got to play games and cuddle all night long."

"It was a really good night," Frank agreed. "I love you."

"I love you too," I said.

"Come on, let's go home," Frank said.

I smiled and nodded, holding his hand as we walked home.
