Who are They?
As I walked by the other cells, women of all shapes and sizes yelled pointless insults and comments like, "Fresh meat!" or "Oh, your too pretty for prison, Princess."
I rolled my eyes, but I knew it could be worst. Unlike the boys, I don't have to worry about dropping the soap.
"Welp," The guard sighed, "here's your cell."
I looked at the small room through the bars. All the walls were made out of cement, and the bars were made out of pure steel. There was a small bed in the corner, but it didn't look very comfortable-like they really cared if we were.
He walked inside with me, let me go then ran back out. He quickly closed me into my small, temporary room. I sat on the small bed and stared at the wall.
"Hey, Princess!" One of the women yelled.
I got up and walked to the bars.
I leaned on the wall, "What?"
Some people laughed. One asked, "Why'd you answer to that?"
I shrugged, "Because I am the princess. Glad ya'll already know your place."
That shut them up.
"So why are you here?" The voice from before asked.
I explained everything. Who we were; What we did; Why we did it; And how we got caught.
"What were the guys like?" Someone asked.
"Well, Wildcat was kind of like our leader. Mini wa-"
"No, what were they like without the masks?"
I sat and thought about what they were like, without the masks. The first thing that came to mind was the frying pan accident.
I didn't know when I agreed to join them, that I had to move in with them.
My first day there was so awkward. Who am I kidding, my first month there was awkward; It just felt like I kept getting in the way.
It's not like they had everything ready. They had a guest room, so it became my new bedroom. It took me forever to adjust to it. It took me forever to adjust to everything, to be honest.
They had to buy more food; They had to do more laundry; They had to buy an extra chair for the dinning room; They couldn't walk around the house in only their boxers anymore-Overall, I just didn't think they were happy that I was there.
Mini's real name was Craig. He was the one that showed me around and told me the rules. He helped me get to know where everything was.
Craig was really sweet and easy to talk to when we weren't on a mission. He was the nurse in the group; He always healed us, emotionally and physically.
After being there for a few months, I went to the store to buy a new blender. When I came back, Basically and Wildcat were fighting in the kitchen. Both of them are very hot headed, so they can argue and/or fight for hours.
I really didn't want to get into it, so I closed the door silently and tried to walk to my room. However, something hit the back of my head.
Unbearable pain shot from my head, and spread through out my whole body. My vision became blurry, and I began to lose my balance, so I held on to anything that was nearby. I heard the boys yell something, but it was muffled (most likely it was my name, but I still don't know).
Anyway, it wasn't long before I blacked out. When I woke up, I was in my bed and Craig was the first one my vision focused on first.
"C-Craig?" I stuttered weakly.
He smiled, "You're awake. She's awake!"
He got off of the small stool next to the bed and danced around the room. I tried to sit up, but I quickly developed a pounding headache. Lucky for me, the light was off and the only light was coming from the window, and it was filtered by a curtain.
I laid back down just in time for the door to burst open. Basically ran in and jumped on the bed, which didn't help my migraine. He hugged me and said sorry about a million times. Apparently, he threw the frying pan to make a statement, but neither of them realized I was home, so he didn't pay attention to where he was throwing it.
Marcel was like a giant teddy bear if he's not on a mission and/or mad; He always wanted to lean on someone, and if he wasn't leaning on you, you were leaning on him or he was leaning on someone else. He leans on Wildcat's back every time he's turned around.
He was the one that helped me the most when I was first moving in; He helped me get comfortable around them.
I looked over his shoulder at my nightstand that had every over the counter drug on it. I noticed a figure in the door, so I forced my eyes to focus on it as it got closer. Wildcat sat in the stool next to the bed.
Tyler is his real name, and he's acts the same on missions and off; He's controlling. I'd be lying if I say need didn't need that, though. He never lets his guard down either. He may have been the one that wanted me to join them, but it took him forever to get used to me.
Honestly, he was the reason I kept feeling like I was getting in the way. It felt like he was watching my every move; Judging everything I did.
Back to the story, Marcel sat up and put my head on his lap. I looked at Tyler.
"You need to build up your defense." He said.
I nodded. We all knew that I was better with technology than physical fitness.
He sighed, "Marcel, Craig, let me talk to her." They nodded, but didn't move from where they were. Tyler rolled his eyes, "Alone."
They made 'oh' faces and left. Marcel put my head back on my pillows and I looked at Tyler.
"I know." I said, my voice still weak.
He glanced around my room then looked back at me, "How'd you get away with robbing houses?"
"I always waited til they leaved, then I moved at my own pace."
"I didn't know destroying someone's house was a pace."
"I didn't know sass was a new way of motivation."
He smiled, "That's not what I wanted to talk to you about."
My head hurt to much to raise an eyebrow, "What'd ya need?"
It took him a while to answer, "Why are you intimidated by me?"
I tried to shrug, but that was a mistake, "Have you met you?"
"What do you mean?"
I sighed, "Tyler, I just woke up from a coma and the first thing you say is, 'You need to build up your defense.'"
He opened his mouth to say something, but quickly shut it like he realized something. He took a deep breath and put his head in his hands. He sighed and looked at me, "I'm sorry, I'm not like the others. I'm-"
"I know you're not like the others," I said, "but that doesn't mean you have to apologize."
"What?" He asked.
"You don't need to apologize." I said, "Just because you're not like Marcel and Craig, doesn't mean it's a bad thing." He nodded and was about to get up but I said, "We need to update our system."
He stopped where he was, "What?"
"It was so easy to hack into the system. We need to update it."
"Then make eight cameras, and we'll replace them." He said and left.
I closed my eyes to rest for a bit more, "Challenge accepted."
It didn't take me to long to recover, so when I did, I started building the eight cameras. I made my own security system before. It was like riding a bike; Once you get the hang of it, you won't forget how to do it.
When I got finished with all eight cameras, Craig called my name from the living room.
I walked in, "Yeah?"
He had this big, goofy smile on his face, "Guess what."
"What?" I said smiling.
He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the basement. The whole time I was asking what he was doing. After almost tripping over the stairs, Craig pulled me in front of him and covered my eyes.
"What is going on?" I asked.
Silence. He didn't say anything, but he did move a bit.
"Okay," He finally said, "are you ready?"
"Ready for what?"
"Just trust me."
I rolled my eyes even though they were covered, "I guess."
He moved his hands quickly and stood beside me. I smiled from ear to ear when I saw it. We were facing the display case and Marcel and Tyler were next to Mini's outfit, showing off a new display case. It had my bandana, my beanie, my shoes and my pants, but there was a different shirt and my sunglasses weren't there.
"Do you like it?" Marcel asked.
I nodded. He smiled and hugged me along with Craig. I looked at Tyler and he was looking at us, waiting for us to let go.
"Come on." I said.
"What?"
"You know know you wanna join in on the hug."
Craig and Marcel smiled and looked at him. I thought he was going to protest, but instead he rolled his eyes and walked to us. He wrapped his long arms around us.
"Oh," I said and got their attention, "I'm done with those cameras."
"Cameras?" Craig and Marcel questioned.
"You actually made cameras?" Tyler said, surprised.
I nodded, "Yep. Follow me."
I lead them upstairs to my room. I showed them the cameras and all the features they could do. It was normal for me, but to them, it was like showing a child a puppy.
They haven't underestimated me, nor have I felt awkward around them since.
The other women in the prison spread the word about us, and we soon became the kings and queen of the prison.
