Who Are These Guys?

I drove to the warehouse we thought they were at. I checked it out with the help of my watch, but no one was there. I growled as I parked the car and hit the wheel, "Dammit!"

"Try the one o-" Evan tried to say but I interrupted him.

"I don't have time to check every fucking warehouse in Los Santos!" I shouted, "I wasted enough time saving you four!"

"You know," Batccoon said, starting to get on my last nerves, "we don't have to help you. In fact, we don't even need to be here."

I heard him shuffle and grab the door handle. I grabbed the gun that I hid in my pant leg, cocked it, turned all the way around, and pointed it at him. He stopped and stared at me, waiting for me to make a move. The car was silent and I knew I wasn't going to do anything, but they didn't.

"You call yourself a hero, correct?" I said calmly, scaring him a bit more. After him not answering, I yelled, "Correct?"

"Yes!" He shakily hollered back.

"Then prove it." I said and took the gun away from him, but not my eyes.

After he closed the door, I put the gun back in my leg holster. I sat back up and gripped the wheel. I didn't look at any of them, but I asked, "Anyone remember anything else about that one guy?"

No answer.

"None of you remembered what he looked like?"

After a long silence, I was going to ask another question, but Batccoon said, "They're in the warehouse near the pier."

I knotted my eyebrows, "What?"

He sighed and started to talk again, "They're six of them altogether. They call themselves 'The Rejects' because they've all tried to join different gangs or groups but all got rejected. Their ultimate goal is to destroy other gangs."

I turned around and was about to ask something when Evan stole the words right out of my mouth when he turned around, "How do you know this."

He was quite for a long time, then looked out the window. "I'm friends with a few of them." He nearly whispered.

"You're friends with gang members?" He shouted at the blue-eyed male. He looked at him and Evan took that as a sign to continue, "We are supposed to be heroes and you hang out with people like that?"

"I've been friends wth them for ten years!" Batccoon defended himself.

"They're the reason we're even here!" Evan yelled louder. He was completely turned in his seat now. He's knees took the place of his ass.

"No, they're not!" He screamed back, "We're here because of people like her," he pointed to me, "who think robbing innocent people is a great career choice!"

"How the fuck do you think they destroy other gangs?" Evan screamed louder, "They don't just tell them off and expect them to never talk again. No, they fucking kill them, Jon!"

"No they don't!" He screamed, getting out of his seat.

"Oh yeah, I forgot I wasn't the one who's friends with them." Evan said sarcastically, "Tell me, Jon, what do you think they do? I'm sure they just pat them on the wrist and let them go, right?"

Batccoon, or Jon, clearly heard enough from his leader and grabbed him by the collar of his suit. They got in each other's faces and Jon growled, "I am a hero. I would never befriend a murder no matter how long I've been friends with them. You and I both know this so let the subject go."

He let go of his collar and sat back down. They stared at each other for a while, then Jon looked out the window. The car was full of hot breath that reeked of their nasty breath due to the fact they weren't able to brush their teeth in the pass god only knows how many days. I kept my eyes on Evan and glanced at the other two heroes who were also looking at the dumbfounded male. Evan finally gave up on the argument that verbally ended a while ago and sat back in his seat properly.

I cleared my throat and looked out the windshield and started up the car again. "By the pier?" I asked.

"Yes." He said, sounding like he wanted to cry.

I could kind of understand why though, he just got in an argument with his leader and sold out his friends.

I nodded and started driving. The sun was poking out from behind the horizon and it crept to me as I drove to the pier.

"N/n," Early Bird said, "its daylight. Don't you think we should wait for nightfall?"

I licked my teeth when I found out he was right. I took a deep breath and parked in front of a cafe. I bit my lip and said, "All I needed was information as to where they are. You all can go now." They all kind of looked at me with a wait-really face. I rested one hand on the armrest and under my head while the other stayed on the wheel, "I ain't getting any younger and my partners are getting any better."

"Is that all you wanted us for?" Jon raised his voice, "All you wanted us for was so I could rant out my friends?"

I chuckled a bit, "I didn't even know who these people were, Jon," I turned around just enough for him to see my smile and said, "but you did."

He inhaled sharply and aggressively opened the door then slamming it shut. I turned back to the wheel as the other doors started to open and close. When I heard the last person close their door, I glanced at the sidewalk to see them lined up. I started the car again and drove away.

~

I smiled when the pier came into view, but it quickly went away when I saw a white car pull up in front of one the oldest warehouses and watch the three men I took down back in the other warehouse walk in.

I parked where I was a groaned, "Why?"

I sat there and ran my hands through my hair, down my face, then back to my hair. I was lucky enough to take down the three back there, but now I have to worry about them, plus three other guys that were capable of grabbing two average sized males, an extra large on and a robot?

I shook my head and looked around at all the people who were now out of their house, driving, walking, and riding in the rain. I looked at the warehouse one last time and decided that I have to wait till night time to even think about making a move. I bit my lip and started my car again. Where can I go? What can I do? I turned around and looked at my bags that were barely touched due to Early Bird's manners.

I turned back to the wheel and saw I was low on gas. Not really surprising considering I was driving all night and constantly turned my car off and on. I drove to the nearest gas station and went inside.

It was an average sized gas station, nothing really special. Like the first one, it had a tiny television hanging in the corner. I watched as they went from one subject to the next. The one that really got my attention was one titled:

ROBOTIC FACE FOUND ON LOS SANTOS SHORE

I widened my eyes as the new reports talked about it.

"According to Los Santos police," said the woman with way too much hairspray, "the 'face' is metal and has coding panels on the inside. Since it is not a full face, the police want to have any other pieces immediately turned in." It sowed a short video of someone turning it around so you can see both sides of it. I only needed to glance at it to realize it was part of B.R.I.A.N.'s face. She started to fake laugh and turned to the other reporter and said, "What do you think about that Jim?"

He fake laughed too and said, "I think it's a plastic mask with paint on the back. I mean, it's impossible to build a robot, don't you think Laura?"

I stopped listening then. My greatest creation in the fucking water? You better bet your ass I was pissed.

I watched as the person in front of me moved so I could have my turn at the register. It was a young man, around my age, who had very dark, brown hair that looked like a little floof on his head. He had nice and welcoming brown eyes and a bit of facial hair.

I pulled out a twenty from my pocket and handed it to him, "Twenty on four please."

He took my money, put it in the cash register, and started pushing buttons on the screen in front of him. He glanced over at me and soon did a double take. After a while of us having a staring contest, he chuckled, "I'm sorry, but you look very familiar." His voice was very, very deep.

I widened my eyes. Brian whipped all the information on all of us and I don't think he's a cop. That's when it occurred to me that they showed our picture on the news. Some people have really good memories and if they saw us, they'd automatically call the police. But it's been two years since then and they don't have our pictures anymore.

I shrugged, trying to play it off, "I must just have one of those faces."

"No," He said then smiled, "I swear I've seen you in my dreams before."

He leaned on the counter while trying to keep a flirtatious face. I just kind of stood there, clearly unamused. "May I leave now?"

He sat back up, a little disappointed and sighed, "Have a nice day."

I nodded and walked out. He was kind of cute, but my boyfriend is fucking hot so no.

I got to my car, pumped the gas, then got in. I bit my lip realizing I have a whole day to waste. I sighed and started up my car, heading back to the library. I've got time to research these "Rejects."

When I pulled into the library, there was an old woman trying to open the door. I came up behind her and said, "Ma'am, do you need some help?"

He turned and I looked into her dull, blue eyes and her pale, blonde hair. She shook her head and smiled, "No don't worry sweetheart, I got it."

She turned the key and opened the doors. I followed her in and headed to the computers once she turned on all the lights. I sat down and logged onto it. The woman came into the computer room and said, "If you don't mind me asking, Miss, but why are you here so early?"

I looked at her and said, "My professor is giving me another chance to retype a paper I didn't do so well on and my computer at home isn't working."

She nodded and walked away. I got onto Facebook and made a fake profile. I went to the search bar and searched for Evan Fong and of course, Evan aka Bat Owl was the first to pop up. I looked at his friends list and saw Jon or Jonathan according to his Facebook name. Right next to his was Early Bird or Brock and Mega Monkey or Lui.

I clicked on Jon's profile and looked through his friends list. None of the friends he had looked suspicious. I started to whisper their names out loud, "David...Anthony...Scotty..."

Scotty's little header thing, however, said, "four0seven." I widened my eyes and remembered that that one guy had those numbers on his chest. I clicked on his profile and looked at his face. I growled when I tried to go through my memory to try and remember what his face or even his hair looked like.

I shook my head a decided to back back and look again. When I did, I noticed Anthony's header thing said "BigJigglyPanda." I clicked on his and saw he had a panda hat in most his pictures. It looked like a cheap hat though, so literally anyone could buy it.

I didn't really pay attention to their faces due to the fact that I don't think it's them and I don't want to waste my time focusing on the wrong person.

I groaned and sat back in my chair. I bit my lip as I backed out of his profile too. I kept looking and there was one guy that had an omega sign, "Ω" as his profile picture. That really confused me, so I clicked on it. His bio said, "Most people call me Ohm. I've been a reject my whole life and know they're going to pay." I looked through all the pictures he had and none of them had certain face.

"Dammit." I grumbled as I opened his friends list.

After seeing nearly all the same people back on Jon's list, I decided that I've had enough of chasing nothing. I cleared the history and logged off the computer. I walked out and went to Simone's to tell her all I know and so I could have a place to sleep for a little.
