Can You Help Me?

It was dark when I got to the abandoned warehouses that haven't even been looked at for years, or so I thought. The rain just made it more frightening as I drove pass.

Last time Evan's phone was working and/or was on was in this warehouse. It was either destroyed or turned off.

I went a few blocks down and pulled up to a fountain. It won't look suspicious because it's a PokèStop and people will just think I'm behind on trends.

Anyway, I checked all the things I had in my bag and made sure I only got things that I absolutely needed. I hid them anywhere on my body that could fit. Most were in my bra.

I sighed and looked out my window. Rain drops raced down the side as I just kept wasting time. I was stalling, but I couldn't help it. It's been two years since I've even picked up a weapon let alone used one. Making all these new things doesn't count considering they're all just wear-and-tear items and I've never tried them out on anything besides a wall. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and opened the door, exiting the car.

Street lights pointed out all the cameras. I pulled out a pistol and shot every single one I saw so whoever this bastard is doesn't know that I'm here. If he could hack into B.R.I.A.N., then he could hack into city cameras easily.

That's when I stopped under a cabana of a closing restaurant. What if I'm too late? What if he already killed them and I'm just now getting the memo? Even if they are alive, I have no clue what condition they're in. What if they're not even here and it's just the heroes? There's no way in hell they would help me.

I sighed and started walking again;the only way to know is the see.

I got a block away from it and went into the alley in between two buildings. I walked to the end, stopped, and leaned on the wall. I lifted my sleeve and made the radar on my watch check for body heat. It can scan the whole city if I wanted it to, so I knew I was close enough. I zoomed in so I could only see this block. The warehouse had at least seven hotspots on the inside so it wasn't abandoned.

Four were huddled together while one was in front of them and the other two were on the roof. I knotted my eyebrows and peeked over the corner, not seeing anyone on the roof. I went back to my original placement and took a sharp breath.

I took a hair pin out of my hair and made sure the hidden scanner read my fingerprint. The pin soon turned to a tiny drone and flew up. I turned on the camera and watched as my watch soon showed me looking at my wrist. It was silent, but I'm not sure if it'll stay like that.

I took my chance and started directing it to the warehouse. I flew high so I could see if two people were on the roof and they were, but scoping out the area. They were wearing some weird things. They both had hats on but I can swear one of those hats were shaped like a panda.

I shook off the weird fashion statement and made my drone go through a little part of chipped glass and look around until I saw a faint light. I got lower and the back of a man came into view. He had his head down and he looked skinny and not too strong. He sat up straight, showing off his plaid, green shirt, broad shoulders, and...paper bag?

"What?" I whispered as he stretched and stood up. I widened my eyes, he was so tall, maybe just short of Tyler.

I knew he was the guy in front of the four people huddled together, but due to it being so dim, I couldn't see who it was. But that all stopped when the guy with the paper bag over his head turned around with a 9mm and shot start at the drone. I jumped as my screen turned to static.

I growled as I turned my watch back to the heat detectors and watched as he walked to the drone. The other two soon going into the building to see what was wrong.

Lighting flashed when I realized this was probably the only time I'd be able to get near the building without being shot. Thunder boomed when I started running to it.

I went to the fire escape route and started climbing up. Going through the roof is a bit cliché, but I sure as hell ain't going through the front door.

I watched as the crowed around the drone and started talking. I checked if the frame for the windows were strong enough the hold me and luckily I would be fine if I used them. I pulled out a rope from my back pocket and opened the windows that were connected to it and tied it. I took a deep breath as I jumped down and freely swung right to the group of three men.

The one with the paper bag was the first to go because as I swung to them, I kicked him with all my might, straight it the face, instantly knocking him out. I jumped off and turned to see the other two point their guns at me. I pulled out my pistol, ducked under their bullets and shot both of their main arms. They dropped their guns and I ran to them and finished them off by knocking them out cold.

I was right about the panda hat and the paper bag guy. The other guy didn't even have a hat on, but he had the numbers 407 on his chest. I shook it off and looked at the four hostages. The one guy with the panda hat wasn't the only thing I was right about.

None of them were my boys. I recognized one of them and that was none other than Bat Owl himself: Evan Fong.

They were all awake and were tied up with duck tape of theirs mouths, struggling to get me to untie them. I cursed myself as I walked over there and took off all their duck tape, making sure it hurt.

They all took deep breaths from their mouths and I sat in front of them, "You were not who I was looking for."

That's when all of there eyes widened and just stared at me. I studied them as they didn't the same to me.

One had blue eyes that matched the ocean. He had thin, peach colored lips with pale skin to match. He had a few tattoos due to the fact they peeked out through the top of his shirt. He had either dark brown hair or jet black hair but due to the lighting, I couldn't tell. Next to him was Evan and then a small guy. He had tan skin and his eyes and hair were such a dark color, they almost looked black. The last one was pale too and he looked absolutely terrified. He had large, pink lips and nice hazel eyes. His hair was brown, curly, and short. He was about the same size as Craig.

"I though you left." Was the only thing any of them said after a long silence.

I looked at Evan, "I did, but after getting a special call from someone, I decided to come back and help out people that are worth my time. However, I went to the wrong warehouse."

I was about to get up but the guy at the end started to cry. "Please let us go." He begged, tears rolling down his face, "I have a family and we haven't eaten in days. Please..."

I inhaled sharply as I watched, who I believe was Early Bird, bawl his eyes out. I let the air out and said, "Then you're going to help me."

"Now why the hell would we do that?" Blue-eyes, which was clearly Batccoon, said.

I smiled, rested my chin on my fist, and looked at him, "I don't have to untie you."

He growled and Evan hit his arm, "Knock it off. She's the only way we're going to get out of here."

"We can negotiate with villains!" He protested.

"Dude, I just wanna find my friends and go back to Nevada." I interrupted their argument.

He glared at me, "And how do we know we can trust you?"

I sat up, "Me? The four of you can't handle me? I should be scared to put my trust in you considering you can turn me into the cops, but no. You're scared of me?" I smiled as he made himself look stupider and stupider by the minute.

"No," he growled, "I'm not scared of you."

"Then what do you call it?" I asked

He rolled his eyes, ignoring my question, "How are we supposed to know you're not going to kill us after we help you?"

I smile grew wider, "I have the power to kill you all right now and sending me to prison just motivates me to do it even more. Why the hell would I wait to kill you then, when you're all just sitting here, waiting to die now?"

That shut him up.

"What do you want us to help you with?" Evan asked.

"Wildcat, Mini, Basically, and Terroriser are missing." I said, "I thought it was the same people who took you guys so I looked for you because I can't track their phones. If you help me find them, then I'll let you guys out of here."

They all exchanged glances. The one who hasn't talked yet looked at me, "Do you know where they are?" It was Mega Monkey.

I shook my head, "No, but because these guys were so unorganized," I motioned to the three men still knocked out on the ground, "I'm guessing they split the eight of you up and the others are in another warehouse. Where? I have no fucking clue."

"So," Batccoon said, "all you know if that they're kidnapped, possibly by the same people, but you have no clue where they are nor any information on their last whereabouts?"

I looked him straight in the eyes and said, "Now do you see why I need help?"

They all looked at Evan and he just took his time to look at all of them and think of their situations.

He breathed in and looked at me, "We'll do it."

I smiled, "That's the spirit, Evan."

All their eyes widened. "How do you-" Evan began to say.

"How do I know you're Evan Fong, the co-owner of Fong's Houses for Rent next to your father?" I asked his question as I stood up. I shrugged, "Lucky guess?"

I took out my knife and cut the ropes that held their knees, ankles, and wrists together. They stood up and nearly fell due to the fact they haven't walked, let alone stood for god only knows how long. After a quick lesson of how to walk, I guided them to my car.

As we walked, I saw all the sweat, bruises, and scars on their exposed skin.

"Where are your masks?" I asked.

"They burned them." Early Bird answered.

"Are all those from them?" I motioned to their faces.

"Yeah," Evan said, "that's why we were still there. Those guys were weak, but there was this other guy that just destroyed us."

"You guys haven't really had a big fight that in a while, have you?" I asked.

Silence.

It never occurred to me about how unorganized these guys were. Yeah, they're heroes, but they've let us get away too many times to count and the only reason we ended up in prison was because they called the police. These guys clearly don't like fighting because they have day jobs and it's questionable when you walk in and you have a huge scar on your neck or something.

We got to the car and I said, "Did those guys say anything about where the other guy went?"

They shook their heads. Mega Monkey filled his head, "Um, something about and incorporation."

I looked at him, "Name?"

He started snapping trying to remember the name. He grabbed his head and said, "I don't remember."

I sighed, "What incorporation recently shut down?"

"That one across from the gas station on 7th street." Evan answered.

"What'd they sell?" I asked.

"Ugh, I think they sold lumber." Early Bird said.

"Where did they store it?" I asked.

"On the south side of town because it was the only one left." Batccoon said.

I started the car, "Guess where we're going boys!"
