"Are you sure you want to do this?" Lukkas asked as I swung my leg over the side of he buggy, hitting pavement.

"I have to. I have to Lukkas. Besides, he should have found a soulmate by now and has probably forgotten about me."

He nodded and followed me.

We both stopped at the entrance of the school building. Exchanging glanced we continued, arms interlocked.

We exchanged quick complement walking in with our old friends, and headed straight to the cafeteria.

Huddson sat at our old table, waving at us. With his right arm, which was odd since Hudd was left handed.

"Hey Hudd." Lukkas said evenly, sitting across from him.

"Lukkas." He nodded, eyes not blinking.

"Its nice to see you again Rainia." His gaze shifted to me with the accompaniment of a smile.

"You too Hudd." I sat with Lukkas.

"Hows farmwork?" Lukkas asked politely.

"Pretty good, but it's a lot of work I have to say." He grinned, eyes shining. "What about you guys? How's defense?" he asked.

"Fun, but time consuming. We have to get up at four."

Hudd nodded.

"So..." I cleared my throat. "Have you found your soulmate?"

"No." he said, returning my gaze. "I cut my arm off." He pulled up the sleeve on his left arm, revealing a missing limb. The cut had been right above his elbow and left an awkward stump.

"Oh." Lukkas said shortly, staring in worry.

"Why did you cut your arm off?" I asked wearily.

"I know I was meant to be with you."

Lukkas stood up abruptly. "Rain wasnt meant to be with anyone other than me." His eyes were fixated on a corner of the table.

Huddson compied his move, standing calmly. "We both know that isn't true."

"Huddson, I don't want to make a scene, but you need to understand that Rain is my soulmate."

"No." He shook his head. "Rain is my soulmate. I am supposed to be with her."

"No, Huddson, Rain is with me and we're happy. You can't love her."

I sat, eyes flicking between the two, not sure how everything went downhill so fast.

"You don't understand." Huddson was shaking his head still, sadness painted over his face. "She's mine."

"You listen Huddson." Lukkas snarled, taking a step forwards. "Rain doesn't belong to anyone. She isn't mine and she definitely isn't yours. If you ever act like you can posses a woman again - Rain or anyone else for that matter - I will make sure that you are stuck in a prison and dealt with."

I stood, realizing things were about to go bad. People had turned heads, wondering why there was an argument. Visiting days were supposed to be fun after all.

"We need to go." I looked at Lukkas, wrapping my arm around his elbow, pulling him with me.

I looked back before we left the cafeteria and saw Huddson. He was still standing, looking like he had heard the most shocking thing in his life. His eyes were full of emotion and questions, but empty and lifeless at the same time.

"I'm sorry Rain. I didn't mean to mess things up." Lukkas mumbled, rubbing his neck with a concerned look.

"I'm not mad Lukkas. And about what you said... Thanks. It means a lot." I offered him a smile which he returned.

"Come on, let's go home and find your family." He said, walking down the street with me.

After a while we ran into a pretty girl, who was waiting outside a house.

"Sorry." I smiled apologetically.

"Its okay." I glanced down at her elbow, wondering how old she was.

Spralled across her arm was the name 'Gib'.

"Lila?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You know me?" she gave me a puzzled look.

"Well, no, we know Gib. He's told us about you." Lukkas answered.

"Oh. Well I guess it's a small world." she smiled and ran off.

"What did she say?" Lukkas asked, puzzled.

"I think she said 'world'."

"What's a 'world'?" He said, puzzled.

I shrugged in response, and continued walking.

We were almost at my house when Robin ran outside.

"Rain's home!" he yelled, filled with joy.

"Hey Robin." I said, giving him a hug. "Happy late birthday!" I said, pulling out a small box.

"Really Rain? Thanks!" he gasped, unrapping the box. He pulled out a necklace made from a bow string and a carved letter 'R' that Chad helped me with.

"I love it!" He exclaimed, pulled it over his head and looking down to check it out.

"I knew you would." I said satisfied.

"Nice to meet you Robin." Lukkas held out his hand.

My eleven year old brother frowned suspiciously. "Hmm. So what are your intents with my sister?"

Lukkas laughed - thankfully. "I intend to love her every day, minute, and second of my life."

"Promise?" Robin arched his eyebrow.

"Promise." Lukkas nodded.

"Lukkas!" My dad came up behind us all, clapping and hand on his back as Lukkas flinched. "How's you been?"

"Good sir. Your daughter is an amazing person." He said with a weak smile.

"Glad to hear you're getting along." He nodded. "Why don't you all come inside and we can talk about your careers over some Corrumpeban."

"Some what?" Lukkas and I said in unison.

"Corrumpeban." My dad repeated. "It's the new drink the Senator just introduced. Its amazing, you have to try some."

"Alright, let's see what it's like." I shrugged, looking at Lukkas.

His eyes were squinted slightly, and I knew he didn't completely trust the new drink. We don't make new drinks, we make rules and form order. If Lukkas didn't trust it, neither did I.

We got inside at sat at the table, watching my dad pour a clear liquid into glasses.

"Here you are!" my dad said, balancing four glasses on his arm.

He set them down one by one, Robin grabbed a glass and almost chugged the whole thing.

"Slow down Robin, you'll get hiccups." My dad joked, even though hiccups are just a myth.

"Yes father." Robin replied, and stopped drinking so quickly.

I glanced at my drink. I wrapped my hand around it slowly, feeling the coldness inside.

"Bottoms up." I said with a small grin. I tipped my drink back, letting it pour down my throat.

It tastes like... I don't know, but it tasted really good. Great. It tasted great.

My vision blurred almost instantly. I had a sudden urge to do the pledge again, and could barely supress myself from curling my fingers into the familiar shape.

"Wow, this tastes great Lukkas. You should try it." I laughed, sounding almost bubbly.

"I know isn't it great? Everything is great. The community is great. Lets hear it for the community!" He giggled.

"To the community!" we a cheered, easing our glasses.

Suddenly everything stopped. Terrifyed, I looked at Lukkas. He was staring at the ground, silent.

"Man those drinks were good father." I mumbled. "I'm going to go catch up with more friends. See you later father."

I stood, dizzy, searching for Lukkas' hand.

"Forest." he whispered as we sprinted around my house, stumbling and stepping on each othwrs feet.

We kept running, for what seemed a little more than a mile. I finally pulled Lukkas to a stop next to me, sitting and leaning on a trunk.

"That wasn't right." Lukkas said immidialy.

"I know. I know. What do we do?" I asked, worried.

"Rain... I have to tell you something." Lukkas sat next to me.

"Okay."

"I think the Senator is controling everyone."

Treason. Lukkas had just commuted treason in front of me. They would kill people for that.

I thought long and hard. It added up. The pledge, the drink, having soul mates.

"I think you're right Lukkas. I think they're bad. What if... What if Disruptors aren't bad?"

"We need to get back to the defense district and figure something out. From now on it's trust no one but each other."

I nodded. "I can't believe this is happening. I can't believe we grew up in a lie."

"I knew it." I almost jumped out of my skin as a voice seemed to sneer at us from behind. We shot to our feet, fists blocking our faces.

"I knew you two were traitors. I knew it."

"Who's there?" My voice shook.

"You're going to get what you deserve. They'll do things to you two. You should know better than anyone else Lukkas." A voice laughed.

"No..." I whislered, realizing who it was.

Ally stepped out of the thick, leaning on our tree, looking smug. She looked the same, but older, more mature. There was a glint in her eyes. She was different.

"You two are going to get what you deserve."

I am so sorry. I honestly am this time. I actually tried modeling Ally after myself. Fun fact, this was supposed to be a story That was realistic fiction but I kind of got off task. A lot. For like, ten chapters.

Anyways, I tried modeling Ally after myself. I realized that she disappeared after I sent Lukkas and Rain to the Defense District. I also realized that I was getting attracted to her, again because she was misled after me, and so I figured out how to stop that.

I made her evil.
