My mother shake in fear as she held tightly on the gun, crying her heart out.

"Mommy!" I yelled again and my mother look at me.

"Don't worry sweetheart, I won't let him hurt you ever again." My mother said and pulled the trigger.

Everything happened so fast that my brain couldn't process what was happening. My father pulled me down the ground and I bump my head hard on the floor. That was when I lose all of my memories.

End of Flashback

"He killed my mother..." I loudly whisper and they both look at me.

I didn't even realise that I was crying before a tear drop on my hand. 

"My father killed my mother!" I exclaim while standing up.

I clench my hand into a fist as the tears continued falling down like a waterfall.

Inojin and Shikadai didn't know what to do to comfort me but Inojin pulled me into his arms while stroking the back of my back.

"He killed her... why..." I sob in him and he continued comforting me.

"What do you want to do now? Since he's your father, the choice is upto you." Inojin said and it took me a while until my tears dried.

I wipe the remaining tears before looking straight into his eyes.

"I'm gonna put him to jail once and for all." I said and they both nod.

"We better get going then." Shikadai said and we all agreed.

???'s POV

"You know what to do, just make sure not to hurt her or I'll punish you." I instructed and my partner laugh.

"As if I'm going to hurt her. Without the Sun, she'll all be mine. Just make sure to keep your promise." He stated and I nod.

"Of course I will." I said but didn't I lied.

I wasn't planning on giving her my Y/n. She's mine and all mine. I own her and I won't let anyone take her away from me ever again! After I'm done with my partner, I'll eliminate him in an instant.

Reader's POV

We were now making our way to the police department. Me on the other hand, was still processing everything that I discovered. 

My father is the killer...

He killed my mother...

And now he killed my friends...

He has to be put into jail...

He can never be forgiven!

Memories of him and John suddenly flash into my head and I grip at the necklace that mother had given to me before.

And he's been listening to everything that I have said...

Spying on me since I was born...

Someone like that should rot in jail!

"Y/n watch out!" A voice snap me out of my thoughts and I felt myself getting pulled.

A big truck went past our way and I was shock by it. I look up to see who my saviour was and it was... Iwabe.

"You alright?" He ask me and I nod.

"T-thank you." I thanked while looking at the truck that almost bump me.

"Y/n! Are you okay?" Inojin and Shikadai ran after me and I release myself from Iwabe's grasp.

"Yes I'm fine, thanks to Iwabe." I said as I pointed my thumb to Iwabe.

"Anyways, I'll get going now." Iwabe said and started to walk away.

As he did, I turned my attention to him and saw something that caught my eye.

"Wait!" I called out and he turned around. "Can I... see that?"

I pointed at the book that was inside his back because it look really familiar to me. He look down and somehow widen his eyes but he returned them back to normal.

"Oh this? Yeah... I got this from the library this morning." He said and took out the book.

I widen my eyes as I recognise the book.

"This is the book." I stated while glancing at Inojin and Shikadai.

Their face showed that they understood what I just said. Iwabe handed me the book and I opened it. Inojin and Shikadai went beside me so they can read the book as well.

To my surprise, the whole story on the book changed. It wasn't the same one as the old one anymore, it had completely different story. But that was not it, yes the story was different but...

It still have the same main characters... Julia!

"Can I... borrow this for a while?" I ask Iwabe, hoping that he'll agree.

"Sure." He gave me a half smile before turning around and walking away. "See you guys later!"

"Is that the book that you were talking about?" Inojin question.

"It is but... The story changed. Although the main character before, Julia is still the same." I replied as I flip through the pages.

'Just as when Julia thought that the Killer was her father, she didn't have a second thought on turning her father to the police. Although everything had change when their friend Shou-Shou was found dead inside her house and saw someone they didn't expect to see.'

I quickly glance from Inojin and Shikadai and they both nod, knowing that the Killer has to be at Chou-Chou's house. We didn't have to tell each other what to do next, we just started running towards the house of Chou-Chou.

"Call the police now!" I said to no one and Inojin put out his phone to call the police.

"911 what's your emergency?"

I let Inojin do all the talking as we continued running towards Chou-Chou's house.

This time, we'll try and save Chou-Chou!

As soon as we made it to Chou-Chou's house, we burst through the door and was shock at what we saw. 

My heart started beating so fast and loud...

I was frozen at my place...

I didn't know what to do...

I was shock...

I did not believe it...

"Mitsuki?" Inojin snap me out of my trance.

In front of us was a shock Mitsuki who have a knife on his hand with the blood of the now dead Chou-Chou. Mitsuki look at me then to the knife with wide eyes.
