Lucas parents and the werewolves were all downstairs talking some more. Edric took Romy to her bedroom. Lucas was in his room changing into some else before he left. I was helping Lucas change into something to fit in time.

He was wearing normal black jeans and a black beater. I couldn't help but look at his muscles on his arms. He didn't seem to know I was staring.

"Over in one those dresser," Lucas said as he pointing at an old painted chipped dresser draws, "There some brass knuckles and gauzes wraps in there, go get them", he said.

I just nodded my head and walked over to it. I pulled the draws out and saw that there were two brass knuckles. I grabbed them and the black gauze wraps and walked over to him.

He took them, without saying thank, which I knew he wouldn't say. He put both brass knuckles on and started to wrap his hand with the , leaving his thumb unwrapped, than did the same to his other hand. As he began to wrap his hand, I spoke, "How are you going to find them?", I asked.

He didn't look at me as he spoke, "The werewolves are better are finding people by their scent, it is going to hard to find them, but we'll be able to.", he said.

"I wanna help.", I said.

He hesitated for a second, than spoke "No.", he said.

"Kayla my best friend, I wanna hel-"

"No.", he said again. He walked over to his bed, pulling up his blanket and slipped his hand in the middle of the two mattress and pulled out a gun and a box of bullets.

He began to walked over to the bedroom door, but spoke I again, "Lucas, please. It's cause of me why Emma took her.", I said, feeling my eyes tear up, but I didn't want them to slip out, so I blinked them back. It was true, it is cause of me and I feel so horrible.

Lucas stopped and walked back over to me. "I'm sorry, but there's no way my parents are going to let you come. Even, none of us will be able to protect you. I wont be able to protect you. You have to stay.",

"I don't need to be protected-",

"You're a human, their vampires. Do you know what that mean, they can easily kill you with one hit.", he said.

I felt a tear go out my right eye, but I quickly wiped it away, "I can't just stay here, knowing Kayla could be hurt.",

"She'll be fine.", he said, turning around, but I grabbed his arm to pulled him to look at me.

"Please.", I said, looking up at his eyes. Without warning, his hands wrapped around my neck and he kissed me. Just wanting to held a little longer, I pressed myself closer to him and put my hand on his shoulder.

It only lasted a few seconds as he pulled away, "I'll bring her back un-harm.", he said, walking over to the door and turned around, "I promise.", he said before he was gone.

I stood in the same spot and I brought my hands to my lips. He kissed me. Does that mean he cares about me? Or he just wanted to kiss me?

I walked over to his bed and sat on it. I didn't realized more tears were coming down my face when a tear drop landed on my hand. I tired to stop crying, I hate being emotional. First everyone got kidnap, then Kayla, now I'm confused about Lucas.

I laid down on the bed and closed my eyes, hoping I'll fall asleep and when I wake up, Lucas will be back with everyone and with Kayla. I wanted to see her so much, I missed her. I missed my parents too. I began to cry more; thinking of my parents.

I moved myself so I would be laying on my side. After a few minute, I began to fall asleep.

A few hours later...

Crash!

My eyelids open quickly as I heard a sound of something break. I got up to looked around to see what crashed, I didn't see anything. I raised my eyebrows when I saw the bathroom door open. I know it was closed before I fell asleep.

I walked over to closed it, but when I saw standing at the door way, the glass from the window was smashed. "What the..?", I began. All I saw that could've smashed it was a maroon color brick; but what caught my eyes was there was a letter strapped to by a rubber band. I walked over to pick up the letter, be careful not to cut myself on the glass.

I un-folded the letter and read it, 'You shouldn't be all alone at night.'

The letter dropped from my hands and my right hand flew to my mouth. Oh God, I thought to myself. Is Emma here? "Shit.", I said to myself as I ran out the bathroom and Lucas room.

I kept on running till I was in front of Romy room. I didn't brother to stop to knock or anything, I just ran in. No one was in the room. I turned around, "Shit, shit, shit..", I kept saying to myself as I ran to Edric room, but just like Romy room, it was empty. "Where are you guys?", .

Suddenly, it felt like someone was behind me. Nervously, I slowly turned around. No one was there. I sighed in relief. But I shouldn't have, I need to find Romy and Edric. "Okay, calm down Dorinda.", I said to myself. Maybe she's just trying to scare me. Like maybe she just got someone to throw the brick at the window, but isn't really going to do anything.

I began to walk to the kitchen, maybe I'll just find them there.

I was half way there when I felt that feeling of someone behind me. I turned around again, no one. But I did hear a door starting to close behind me, I turn around again and saw the closet door near me closed.

I slowly walked over to the door. I wasn't sure if I should open it or not. I seen lots of scary movies; next thing you know, I open it and someone jumps out and kills me. No, I'll be stupid if I open it. Emma really thinks I'm that stupid, she has another thing coming.

I was about to turn around when I heard sniffling from the other side, which made me realized it could be Romy Or Edric. I quickly turned the knob and opened it. The lights were very dim, but I saw Romy. She had bandana covering her eyes and one wrapped around her mouth. Her wrists and legs were tired by a rope.

I walked towards her, "Romy.", I said. Her head quickly snapped towards my direction. She said something, but I wasn't sure what it was, but it sounded like she was telling me to get out of here. I bent down in front of her and removed the bandana that was covering her eyes, I saw that she was crying to, I also moved the one around her mouth.

"Dor-Dorinda, she's here, you have to leave.", She stuttered quickly.

"I know, where's Edric?", I asked as I tired to un-do the ropes around her wrist.

"I-I-don't know, but Dorinda, you have to leave. She wants you, not me, you.", she said to me. I finally manage to get the ropes to come off her arms.

"I not going to leave you.", I said. I couldn't just leave her here. I may not be able to help Eli, but I'm sure going to help Romy. I'll feel really guilty if I just leave her here. "Damn it," I said, stop trying to un-do the ropes around her leg. Whoever tied these ropes did them really tight. "You still got that lighter you carry around?", I asked. Romy been practicing still with her element. She been doing really good.

"Y-yes.", she said. Her fingers were shaken as she reached inside her pouched and pulled out the lighter. .

I lit the lighter and placed it on the rope. It began to burn the rope. I let it burn in till the rope fell off Romy legs. "Here you go.", I said, handing the lighter back to Romy as I helped her up.

We ran out the out of the closet to see Emma, her brother, Tyson, and two big looking guy at the end of the hallway. Romy and I at the same time gasped loudly. I notice that one of the guy was holding Eli by his arms. Eli was trying to pull away, but he looked like he had no chance against the guy.

"Hello Dorinda.", Emma said as she gave me a grinned. "You look wonderful.", she sarcastically said.

"What do you want?", I asked. I made sure she wouldn't hear the worry in my voice.

Her grin vanish and turned into a hateful look, "What do you think? Your whorish self stole Lucas from me.", she said.

So she really was doing all this cause of Lucas! I didn't have to look at Romy to know she was giving me a questionable look. "No I didn't. I don't know what your talking about.", I said. I really wish Lucas or someone else was here.

She gave a fake laugh, "Really? Then how can you explain the make out session with you and him yesterday.", she said, not making a question. Now Edric was looking at me questionably.

I kept looking back and forth from Romy and Edric, "Uh, I, um,", I said. Crap, now they now. Damn, damn, damn. I was now looking at Emma, "How in the hell do you know that?", I asked, wondering. Was she somehow there? Spying on us?

"I know people who can see what happening.", she said in a 'duh' way.

"That never happened though.", I said.

"Don't lie to me.", she said annoyed.

"I-I'm not.", I stuttered. Crap, now she knows I'm scared.

"Whatever," she said as she flipped her long blond hair behind her shoulder, "grabbed them.", Emma said to her brother and the other big guy.

I grabbed Romy hand and we began to run, but we didn't get far cause I felt a pair a arm go around my waist and pick me up off the ground. I notice it was the big guy and Tyson had Romy the same ways as me.

"Let go of me.", Romy and I said. We kept on kicking and struggling so hopefully they go of us.

I then heard Tyson yell in pain. I looked over at Romy, she had a fire ball in her hand and throw it at Tyson. It hit him in his leg like a bullet. He yelled in pain again as he his patting the fire out.

"Romy, help me, pleas-", I got cut of when I felt some go in my neck. I didn't feel like fangs, it felt like a needle. The guy let go of me and as I took the medical needle out of my throat. I pressed my hand to my neck to stop it from bleeding.

My legs felt started to feel like jell-o. I saw Romy blast a fire ball at the guy in the chest. My arms than started to feel the same way. "R-R-R-Romy.", I brought my hand up to my head as I fell to the floor. I felt so tired in second. I heard Edric shout my name as Romy was at my side.

I kept on blinking so I could stay awake. I felt Romy tap my cheeks roughly, but it didn't hurt cause my cheeks felt like their were going numb.

"Dorinda, stay awake.", Romy kept on saying as she continued to tap my face. My eyes than closed and I passed out.
