Harry followed Older Harry through the halls of Hogwarts until they stood in an empty hallway.

"Where are we going?" He asked, they'd not spoken the entire way, Harry finally broke the silence.

"One moment." Older Harry said

Harry glanced to his side. On the wall there was a tapestry of a wizard teaching trolls ballet. Older Harry stood across the tapestry. He began walking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth three times. Harry was beginning to wonder if he lost his mind at some point when he was older, when a large door formed on the wall.

"Come on." Older Harry opened the door.

Behind the door was a small room, lit by a fire place directly across from the door. Two plush red couches sat opposite each other, with a table in between them. On the table sat a pitcher of pumpkin juice and a platter of sandwiched.

"I guess Hogwarts figures this will take a while." Older Harry sat down on one of the couches.

Harry approached the other couches, "Hogwarts?" He asked

"This is the Room of Requirement." Older Harry explained, "You tell it what you require and it will provide. As long as it doesn't negate something someone else has already requested." He began pouring a glass of pumpkin juice, "I'm sure you have plenty of questions. What's your first one?" He handed the glass to Harry

Harry took the cup, staring down into the orange liquid, there was only one he could think of, "What did you mean by, he killed my parents?" He asked, "I thought Voldemort did."

Older Harry sighed, "Makes sense that would be your first one." He nodded, "Again, I'm sorry about the way I went about that." He poured himself a glass of juice, "Your- Our father had three best friends. Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew."

"I thought-" Harry started, but was cut off

Older Harry raised his hand, "I know. Let me finish." He said, "The four of them were in separable when they were at Hogwarts. When they left Hogwarts, the first wizarding war had already began. I'll explain that later." Harry had begun to ask what he meant by first, "Two years after they left Hogwarts our parents had to go into hiding with us. They needed a secret keeper to keep our location magically kept impossible to find. Only the secret keeper would be able to tell anyone where their location was." Older Harry sighed and looked towards the fire, pausing for a moment, "The initial plan was to go with Sirius. Since he was James's best friend. Then they decided to let everyone think it was Sirius while it was actually Peter."

"So Peter told Voldemort?" Harry asked, thinking back to the things Peter had said about this Sirius, back in Dumbledore's office.

"Peter voluntarily told Voldemort." Older Harry said, still looking at the fire, "Had he not, Voldemort wouldn't have been able to find us and kill them." He finished bitterly

"So then what happened to Sirius?" Harry leaned forward, "If everyone thought he was the secret keeper."

Older Harry looked at Harry, locking eyes, "Sirius is in Azkaban. He was given a life sentence without trial." He took a swig of his juice and looked down, "When Sirius found out what happened he went to our parents house to collect us. He's out godfather," He glanced up at Harry, "But Dumbledore had instructed Hagrid to take us to the Dursleys." He took another swig of his juice, "Sirius decided that he would then go find Peter and get pay back if he could get us. When he found Peter, Peter made a big show of pretending to be afraid and accusing Sirius of killing Lily and James. Then, somehow, he caused a big explosion that got 12 muggles killed. Peter turned into a rat, left one of his fingers to make it look like he died, and ran off. No one but the four of the boys knew they were animagus's so no one knew to look for a rat." Older Harry finally looked back at Harry

Harry leaned back into his couch, still holding his cup. He took a moment to allow all of this new information to process. He had a godfather. A godfather that was in prison. A godfather that had been accused of murder. Harry had a godfather. A scrap of family that wasn't the Dursleys.

"Now that you've got Peter," Harry thought out loud, "You can prove Sirius's innocence." He said

Older Harry nodded, "That's the hope." He looked back at the ground, "In my timeline, Sirius never got to love as a free man. He was proven innocent after he died." He looked back at the fire

They sat in silence for another while, until Harry remembered a question he'd had previously.

"What's a horcrux?" He asked, "We heard you talking about them earlier. Sorry." He added

"No," Older Harry laughed slightly, "We should have known you'd three would be curious. And the three of us were always pretty sneaky." He smiled for a moment before reverting back to being serious, "A horcrux is a very dark piece of magic. You put a piece of your soul into an object. This will grant you immortality, at a cost. It changes you, for the worst."

"Voldemort made one. Didn't he?" Harry asked

Older Harry looked at him for a moment, "He made many. Ron, Hermione and I are going to go hunt them down, starting tomorrow."

"Is that hard?" Harry asked

"Yes and no." He nodded, "It won't be easy, but we know where they all are. We'll have to work for it, but compared to the last time we did it, it'll be a piece of cake." He laughed, "We also won't have to hide from Death Eaters the whole time." Older Harry reached for a sandwich, taking a large bite, "I've missed Hogwarts food." He smiled, falling back into his couch.

Harry waited for him to finish his sandwich before asking his next question, "Why were we in hiding?" He asked, "I get Voldemort was dangerous, but why was he after us specifically?"

Older Harry frowned, "I'll admit, I was hoping you would ask that. It's a difficult question to answer." He sat up, "There was a prophecy." He said, "That singled you and one other child as someone that could potentially be the ones to destroy Voldemort. Voldemort decided it had to be you, us." Older Harry paused, "Once he got the information as to where to find us, killed our father. Our mother refused to back down and so he killed her as well, because of her sacrifice, he wasn't able to kill us. So his curse bounced back and hit him."

"But he couldn't die because of the Horcrux."
Harry guessed

Older Harry nodded, "So he went off, bouncing from snake to snake, stealing their life force, until he met Quirrel. Honestly I'm not entirely sure how he met Quirrel and converted him. All I know is that he recruited him and Quirrel was working for him. Voldemort connected himself to Quirrel after the failed Gringotts robbery."

"Connected?" Harry cocked an eyebrow

"That's a weird story." Older Harry shook his head, "Voldemort was on the back of Quirrel's head."

Harry blinked, and stared at Older Harry for a moment. He ultimately decided that wasn't something he wanted to know more about.

The pair talked for hours, Harry learned that his father had been an illegal animagus, and the reason he'd decided to do so. He learned about his mother's ability with charms and that for most of her Hogwarts career she couldn't stand his father. Older Harry refused to say anymore about anyone who died. Towards the end of their conversation Harry asked if he'd dated anyone.

"I'll let you figure all that out on your own." Older Harry laughed

Finally, Harry went in his way around dinner time, with the permission to tell Ron and Hermione about all of it. Now that Peter Pettigrew was out of the question they could talk while with was just the three of them.

Harry met them in the Great Hall while Older Harry hung back, "I'm going to wait until it's the middle of dinner, don't want to risk running into any one." He'd said

"How did it go?" Hermione asked when Harry slid into the seat next to Rom

"Good." Harry nodded, heaving a potato and putting it on his plate, "I've got loads to tell you two."
