31. I Aint a Judas

We were all back inside the comforts of the prison. I still couldn't believe what had just happened. "We're not leaving." Rick said to us buy we didn't have a choice.

"We can't stay here." Hershel said to us, we needed to find somewhere else.

"What if there's another sniper? A wood pallet won't stop one of those rounds." Maggie said to us and I nodded at what she was saying.

"We can't even go outside." Beth said to us, we weren't safe no matter what we did.

"Not in the daylight." Carol said to us and not at night either.

"Rick says we're not running, we're not running." Glenn said to us.

"No, better to live like rats." Merle said to us. We all looked at him.

"You got a better idea?" Rick asked him, I was curious as well.

"Yeah, we should have slid out of here last night and lived to fight another day. But we lost that window, didn't we? I'm sure he's got scouts on every road out of this place by now." Merle said to us and let him do him that, I'm sure we could take him down.

"We ain't scared of that prick." Daryl said to us and I knew some were.

"Y'all should be. That truck through the fence thing, that's just him ringing the doorbell. We might have some thick walls to hide behind, but he's got the guns and the numbers. And I'd he takes the high ground around this place, shoot, he could just starve us out if he wanted to." Merle said and I knew that things like that would scare Grace.

"Let's put him in the other cell block." Maggie said to us and I shook my head.

"No. He's got a point." Daryl said to us all.

"This is all you. You started this." Maggie said to Merle. So what if he did. He could help us now.

"What difference whose fault it is? What do we do?" Beth asked us all and maybe it was time for us to leave. Start a fresh somewhere.

"I said we should leave. Now Axel's dead. We can't just sit here." Hershel said to us and that's when Rick started to walk away. "Get back here! You're slipping, Rick. We've all seen it. We understand why. But now is not the time. You once said this isn't a democracy. Now you have to own up to that. I put my family's life in your hands. So get your head clear and do something." Hershel said to him. I was hoping he would. That's when Rick headed outside. Grace and I went to our cell.

"Do you think we should leave?" She asked me and I looked at her.

"Yes and no. We don't know what else to expect out there. We could move into a lot worse of a place." I said to her and she looked at me and nodded.

"I don't know what we should do either. This place is safe here but then again, we're putting ourselves at more risk. I don't know what we should do." She said to me and I looked at her.

"I know, but I guess whatever happens. We'll be okay. I know we will." I said to her and she looked at me and nodded.

"Especially since we have each other as well." She said to me and I looked at her and nodded.

"It's Walsh girls against this fucked up world." I said to her a hand up. Waiting for her to give me a high five.

"I couldn't agree more." She said to me and she hit my hand making me smile. The two of us stayed together until I went out to see the Carl. I had my gun ready as in case.

"There's a Walker coming." He said to me and he looked through the binoculars. He then gave them to me to have a look.

"It looks weird though." I said to him and I handed the binoculars back.

"Psst. Something weird out there." Carl said to Maggie who was over at the other station.

"Andrea. Carl, get your dad and the others." Maggie said to Carl and he left. I then pointed my gun out. As much as I trusted Andrea, I didn't know if she was alone. When Carl came back. He pointed his gun out as well. We all had our guns ready. I watched as the gate opened for her.

"Hands up turn around! Turn around now!" Rick shouted at her and he patted her down before getting her to the ground. Me and Carl then headed down. "Welcome back. Get up." Rick said to her and she stood up again. I then ran over and hugged her.

"I missed you." I said to her and she hugged me back.

"I miss you too sweetheart and your sister." She said to me and that's when we headed inside. As soon as Grace saw her, she ran over to her and hugged her as well.

"After you saved me, we thought you were dead." Carol said to her and I thought she was as well.

"Hershel, my god. I can't believe this. Where's Shane?" She asked and Grace came over to hug me. We were all silent. She then looked at me and Grace. She has sympathy in her eyes. "And Lori?" She asked and again it was silent.

"She had a girl. Lori didn't survive." Hershel said to her.

"Neither did T-Dog." Carol said to her, T sacrificed his life for us.

"I'm so sorry. Y/n, Grace, Carl." She said and I went over to hug her again. She instantly hugged me back. "Rick, I- -you all live here?" She asked us and I let go of her and nodded.

"Here and the cell block." Glenn said to her and she pointed to the block.

"There? Well, can I go in?" She asked and I knew it wouldn't be allowed.

"I won't allow that." Rick said to her.

"I'm not an enemy, Rick." Andrea said to him and she wasn't.

"We has that field and courtyard until your boyfriend tore down the fence with a truck and shot us up." Rick said to her and now we couldn't even go outside.

"He said you fired first." She said and she'd been fed lies.

"Well, he's lying." Rick said to her.

"He killed an in age who survived in here." Hershel said and I looked down. Axel was a good guy.

"We liked him. He was one of us." Daryl said to her. We all missed him as well.

"I didn't know anything about that. As soon as I found out, I came. I didn't even know you were in Woodbury until after the shoot-out." She said to us and they'd been lying to her for too long.

"That was days ago." Glenn said to her.

"I told you, I came as soon as I could." She said and she looked around at us all. "What have you told them?" She asked Michonne.

"Nothing." Michonne answered.

"I don't get it. I left Atlanta with you people and now I'm the odd man out?" She asked us and it was because of something else.

"He almost killed Michonne and he would have killed us." Glenn said to her and I wouldn't put it past the Governor.

"With his finger on the trigger. Isn't he the one who kidnapped you?" She asked whilst pointing over at Merle. "Who beat you? Look, I cannot excuse or explain what Philip has done. But I am here trying to bring us together. We have to work this out." She said to us and I looked over at Rick.

"There's nothing to work out. We're gonna kill him. I don't know how or when, but we will." Rick said to her and I knew that we had no option.

"We can settle this. There is a room at Woodbury for all of you." She said to us and I didn't believe that.

"You know better than that." Merle said with a chuckle.

"What makes you think this man wants to negotiate? Did he say that?" Hershel asked her and I would like to know as well.

"No." She answered.

"Then why did you come here?" Rick asked her.

"Because he's gearing up for war. The people are terrified. They see you as killers. They're training to attack." Andrea said to us. There was no way we could be killers.

"I'll tell you what. Next time you see Philip, you tell him I'm gonna take his other eye." Daryl said to her and I knew that Daryl would.

"We've taken too much shit for too long. He wants a war? He's got one." Glenn said and I knew it would happen.

"Rick. If you do my sit down and try to work this out, I don't know what's gonna happen. He has a whole town. Look at you. You've lost so much already. You can't stand alone anymore." Andrea said to us all.

"You want to make this right, get us inside." Rick said to her.

"No." She said back to him.

"Then we got nothing to talk about." Rick said and he started to walk away again.

"There are innocent people." Andrea said but it was too late. Rick was gone. That's when we all started to head inside again. I went to my cell and led on my bed. I saw Andrea come in.

"I'm going now, I wanted to say goodbye." She said and I went over and hugged her.

"I wish you could stay." I said to her and she hugged me tightly.

"I know and I wish I could stay too but I've got to make things right. Just know I always loved you and your sister as if you were my own." She said to me and I looked up at her.

"I love you too." I said to her and that's when we let go. She then left. I'd lost her again. I didn't go out and say goodbye to her. I couldn't bare to see her go again. Later that night we all sat together in silence. I was prepared for the war to start.

"They hung a sign up in our town
If you live it up
You won't live it down
So she left Monte Rio, son
Just like a bullet leaves a gun
With charcoal eyes and Monroe hips
She went and took the California trip
Well, the moon was gold
And her hair like wind
Said don't look back now
Just come on, Jim
You got to hold on
Hold on
You got to hold on
Take my hand
I'm standing right here
You got to hold on
Well, he gave her a dime-store watch
And a ring made from a spoon
Everyone's looking
For someone to blame
If you share my bed
You share my name..." Beth said and she continued singing.

"Do you think Andrea will ever come back?" Grace asked and I looked at her.

"I don't know but we will all be okay." I said to her and she looked at me.

"Don't you need to be on patrol soon." She said to me and looked at her.

"I do, I guess I'll shall go and join Carl." I said to her and that's when I started heading out.
