Nikki's POV

As he drove us to school I slowly started to get anxious like today was going to be strange. I kept trying to think why today would be making me so anxious. 

Bryce started to notice the change, "Babe is everything okay? You look upset." He spoke keeping his eyes on the road but his face showed worry as I looked at him. 

"No honey I'm just-" I paused. I didn't know what was wrong. It bewildered me why I was being ao anxious. "I just feel like today is a bit off"

"Baby, if something is wrong let it out, talk to me. I am here for a reason. I love you so much and I don't like it when you're sad or upset." Showing a slight tinge of emotion as he spoke hurriedly. 

He was an amazing man. He loved making me smile, calling me babykins, and proposing to me jokingly now and then. But I loved every second of it, he made me happy.

"Bryce. Does today just feel weird to you? Like something is going to go wrong?" 

"No, why? Nikki if you're worried someone is going to pick on you then don't. Because they don't matter okay? Your beautiful and smart and funny and who cares about some popular girl-"

"Babykins!" I interrupted, "I don't think that at all. I just think that today's off." I started giggling at him being flustered. He likes being my hype man in self-esteem, and just life in general. 

Before he could say another word we made it to school, Bryce pulled into his parking spot and his friends were waiting for us and they had a look on their face that worried me.
