What If... // Whizzvin
A/N so I've been sitting on this ide for a while because I was worried that people wouldn't like it. But then I realised that this is my book and I can write what I want.
Also the fact that Whizzer is actually 25 and Marvin is 35 has really thrown off certain chapters...but I'm not going to acknowledge the age in this
Enjoy me changing the whole story.
Modern Era AU
Whizzer had always admired Marvin. In his eyes he could do no wrong. He'd liked him since they had first met at the age of 5. Whizzer had moved to New York with his mother after his father had kicked them out. The day they moved in, the family next door invited them for dinner. Whizzer's mother was a social butterfly so she accepted the invitation straight away.
When Whizzer found out that there was someone next door his age, he was over the moon. As soon as the two boys saw each other, they became best friends. They were inseparable. They even stuck together through middle school and high school. And for Whizzer it was the best thing on earth.
It was the start of high school when Whizzer finally noticed what his mother had been trying to tell him for years. Whizzer liked Marvin, he liked him a lot. But Whizzer could never tell him. But the feelings would never be retuned.
Whizzer had to watch as Marvin found Trina. He watched him love her forever wishing it was him. He watched as they were together for a year. Then 2. Then 5. He watched as they survived college. Then the worst day in Whizzer's life happened. Marvin and Trina got engaged. He had never felt so empty in his life. But the only person to blame was himself.
A week before the wedding, Whizzer turned up on his mother's doorstep.
"Hi sweetie, what's wrong?" That was all it took. Whizzer broke down. His mother quickly held him and pulled him inside. "Whizzer, hunny, is this about what I think it is?"
"I can't do it mom. I can't watch him marry her and it's all my fault for not telling him." Whizzer cried.
"It's not your fault." She reassured him.
"I'm a grown man crying in his mom's house over a straight guy who's getting married in a week. I'm definitely over reacting. Why am I even doing this? I need to sort my life out." Whizzer began to spiral.
"Listen to me. You are going to go to that wedding. And you are going to do what you think is right. If you want to tell him, do it. If you don't tell him, then you better be happy for him." His mom advised.

The week flew by. Whizzer was pacing his apartment. Marvin had rang him multiple times. But Whizzer didn't want to answer. Then the texts came through...
Whiz?
Where are you?
Your supposed to be at my house right now
Are you sick?
Do you want me to come over?
I'm ringing your mom.
Whizzer sighed. He didn't want to do this, but he can't stand by as the love of his life gets married.
Please Whizzer.
I don't want to do this without you.
I'm coming over.
Whizzer didn't have anytime to react. Marvin lived a few houses down. He was outside his apartment in 10 minuets.
"Whizzer what's wrong?" Marvin asked "Have I done something?"
"No, it's just...it's hard to say." Whizzer sighed.
He let Marvin and they sat on the couch. "I don't know how to tell you this."
"Just say. I won't judge."
"Well you know I'm gay." Whizzer said and Marvin nodded "And, oh my god, I sort of, how do I put this, I like you. I have for a long time. And I guess with today being your wedding day. it's really hitting me hard."
"Whiz, I know. I've always known but I never really spent time to thinks about it." Marvin answered.
"Oh."
"I understand if you don't want to come. If you do, I'll see you there."

It took a lot for Whizzer to walk to the venue. He got there at the same time as Marvin. Marvin smiled. He called Whizzer over and he went.
"I'm happy you're here." Marvin smiled.
"I couldn't miss your wedding day could I." Whizzer smiled back "Now let's get you inside."
The whole wedding flew by for Whizzer. Until it got to the part he was dreading the most. The I do's. Trina, like Whizzer had suspected, was quick to say I do. Now he waited on Marvin.
"Marvin, do you take Trina to be you're lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?"
Marvin looked at Whizzer. For the pair of them, it felt like forever. Whizzer smiled at his friend as the tears entered his eyes. He wiped away his tears and nodded his head. Marvin mouthed a quick 'I'm sorry' before he said I do.
That's when Whizzer world fell apart. Shortly after Marvin spoke, he quickly slipped away and into the opposite side of the venue. He made his way up some stairs until he found an flat open roof top. He found the nicest part and sat down. He closed his eyes and felt the wind fly past him.
This is it he though I lost my chance.
That's when it finally hit him. He broke. He poured his heart out as he cried. The one he loved was now out of reach. There was no going back. he was happily married and there was nothing Whizzer could do about it.
"Sweetie?" Whizzer turned round, it was his mom. She frowned when she saw her son. She walked over to him and set next to him. Whizzer turned to her and laid his head in her lap. he wept and wept "It's okay. You'll be okay."
"But it won't be. I can't stay here. Not with him finally out of reach." Whizzer cried.
"What do you want to do?" She asked.
"I want to move away. I want to move to a different state. Right now." He admitted.
"Okay. Let's go." She helped her son up and they immediately left.
Little did the pair know, but Marvin stopped the wedding. As soon as Whizzer and his mom left, and before they could be properly wed, he stopped it all. Marvin couldn't deny it. He did have feelings for Whizzer. And Trina was okay with that. But this time...
Marvin was the one who was too late to react.
