Will raced through the stark white corridors, checking his watch and panicking slightly. As a trainee doctor, he was supposed to stay close to Dr Apollo, who helped and assessed his work.

However, on a trip to the toilet, Will had gotten completely lost and now had no idea where Dr Apollo was. Just great.

Walking as quickly as he could without running, Will headed towards the A&E block, his long white coat flapping in the breeze. Suddenly, a girl in all black appeared from nowhere and smashed into him, sending his clipboard scattering away across the floor.

"I'm so sorry!" The girl gasped, quickly picking up the clipboard and pushing it into Will's hands, avoiding his eyes by fixing her gaze firmly onto the floor. He noticed a drop of something fall from behind the girl's black bangs onto the floor: a tear.

"Thanks... um, are you ok?" Will asked quickly. There was a slight pause, before the girl lifted her head. She was only slightly younger than him, with startlingly bright blue eyes rimmed with heavy black eye makeup. She had sharp features and a slightly pointed chin, and wore a t-shirt that read Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die, tons of band wristbands, and tight skinny jeans. A look of shaky defiance was settled over her face.

"Yes, I'm ok. I'm just going to... um... the cafe."

Will laughed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Really? Cause I think you'll find the cafe's over in that direction... not where you're heading." The girl have him a glare, which he promptly ignored. "So. What's your name?"

"It's Thalia, now can I please go!" She attempted to barge past Will, but he swiftly swung out an arm and stopped her. She looked positively furious now. "Shouldn't you be busy!? You're a doctor! Go save someone's life!"

Will snorted. "I'm a trainee, actually, so I think my guide doctor would probably prefer me to help out a crying girl than go and barge into a random operating room because I was lost. Please, what's wrong?"

Thalia looked up, scanning him with intelligent blue eyes while wondering if he could be trusted. Finally, she seemed to cave in. "Ok, fine. My brother's was ran over earlier and now he's in a coma with almost definite lasting head injuries. And... and it's his b-birthday..."

Will felt a rush of sympathy towards the girl as her chin wobbled and she bit her lip. She was obviously biting back tears. Will remembered when his seemingly invincible Aunt Artemis had had a stroke at her large country manor house. It had seemed like the end of the world to Will, who was close to his aunt, but she was fine now and living in a care home closer to her family.

"Oh, Thalia," Will started, when suddenly a low voice came from behind him.

"Ah, there you are, Will! I was looking for you! Who's this, then?" The pair turned to see Dr Apollo walking towards them. Will fought back an urge to laugh at the expression on Thalia's face. She looked so embarrassed and awkward, like she wanted to just runaway.

"This is Thalia. She's just on her way to the toilet, aren't you?" Thalia nodded.

"Yup, thanks. Bye." Without another word, she walked off, leaving Will staring after her. He had a strange feeling in his gut... like he'd wanted to find about more about that mysterious girl. He shook his head quickly.

"Got yourself a girlfriend?" Dr Apollo joked, but quickly shut up when he saw Will's face. "Ok, come on. We're heading to Cardiology now." Will nodded absent-mindedly, following after the older doctor like a sheep.

Something about that girl had unsettled him, and he wasn't sure whether the feeling was good or not.

Bleh. Nothing happened :( but I'm happy with including Will in this!! Yaaay!!!!

It's making me really happy how all of the characters fit in. As in, Will being a trainee doctor, Apollo being his doctor guide (I dunno what it's called) and Artemis being his older Aunt. And, of course Hazel being six :)
