Hello!

I'm not the biggest Christmas person, but I find there's no denying the comfort of a short, sweet Christmas read. They're some of my favourites to dive into and enjoy as the holiday draws near. Then there's the bozo Christmas. With arguing and depression and sheer, utter chaos in the form of Christmas cheer. 

I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Writing with Steph will always and forever be one of the greatest honours in my life. Getting to write a 100 page novella about our favourites - no use in lying, we have favourite children - was such a blessing as the holiday drew nearer. This year hasn't been easy for either of us, riddled with losses we never thought would come as soon as they did, so to cap this terrible year off on a good note was one of the best things we could've done. This was originally intended to be a bonus chapter for Adrenaline and Fly With Me and when Steph said the magic words, "I'd be down to write a Christmas novella," we flew into action.

Writing with Steph is the easiest thing because she brings out the best in me. I've told her a thousand times and I'll shout it from the rooftops a thousand more times. I have many, many new smile and laugh lines from being on the same google doc as her and I will have many, many more in all our years I'm certain we'll be writing together. Everyone deserves a Steph in their life and brings me joy every single day to know I have her as one of my closest friends forever. 

I hope that you enjoyed the little slice of Christmas chaos brought to you by depressive episode besties in the best and worst of times. Just as the original Christmas Carol guy wrote. (Don't yell at me, I know it's Charles Dickens.) I hope this book finds you in the best of times but it's here to comfort you in the worst of times and everything in between. These characters have been through a lot with me. The bozos and my bozo - Steph - have gotten me through so much, I feel like we've lived several lives together in nearly five years. But I'm forever grateful for the ups and downs as long as I've got them by my side.
