Yoongi's POV

We were now in Chicago and Lyn had been overly excited to have Jae here but luckily with Jae here to distract Lyn I could spend my off time to go and pick out a ring for her. I had asked Jin to come along so I can spend sometime with him but also to talk to him about somethings I could clearly see was going on with him personally. All that he felt comfortable about to share with me was that his issues involved a girl he barely knows. But she seems important to him so I will try and help him if I can. 

I smiled seeing Lyn getting ready for her day with Jae. She seemed so excited to be going out with her. I kissed her head causing her to smile. She looked up at me in the mirror and set her make up brush down turning to face me. She leaned up for me to kiss her lips and I chuckled and kissed her softly. She giggles and turns back towards the mirror to finish getting ready.

"You look beautiful my love" I tell her smiling watching for a few seconds before heading to my bag to get my clothes out for the day. 

"Thank you handsome, what plans do you have this morning?" She asked me and looked over glancing at her before looking for a sweater I had packed. 

"I am going out with Jin this morning to talk and stuff about some things he has going on" I tell her smiling. 

"Oh that sounds good, I hope you have a good time. I think me and Jae will stop by the stadium to see you guys practice and have lunch with you all." She says and I nodded. 

"that would be nice" I responded while getting ready. "Remember to speak slow and not get in a rush of excitement. Jae is still learning English, whereas you are still learning Korean. Which we should work more on together for you, I've been a slack teacher." 

"I think its more I have been a slack learner and focused on other stuff" She jests causing me to chuckle

"Ok, I love you my princess but I need to get going to meet with Jin. I hope you have a good time with Jae." I tell her walking over and kissing her head before grabbing my wallet and phone. 

"I love you too handsome" She says as I walked out the door. 

I headed down the hallway and knocked on Jin's door. 

"Hyung, its me" I said softly waiting for him to open the door. I heard shuffling from the other side and opened the door. 

"Hey Yoongiah" He says groggy. 

"I think its time you have some coffee, you almost ready to go out?" I asked looking around his room. It wasn't messy but I've seen Jin have a better living situation before. 

"Yeah" He says and grabs his wallet and a oversized coat and hat. "Let's go" 

I nodded and walk out his room with him and we met up with some of our guards to go out with. We were lead to some black SUVs and got into one and was driven to the shopping district in Chicago. We had the guards park and we decided to walk  down the strip to get some fresh air and talk. We first walk towards and went into Louis Vuitton.

After going to Louis Vuitton we walked down to Blue Nile to get what I had originally came out to do.  To get an engagement ring for Lyn. My only issue is she hasn't told me what she would like so I have to find something that just seems like my beautiful love, Lakyn. Jin looked around with me. 

"What are you thinking of looking at Yoong-ah" Jin said quietly as we looked at the rings 

"Lyn is a bit unique and very sweet and caring I was thinking Rose Gold as the band" I told him and I continued to think. "Something not too flashy either" 

Jin motioned for a person behind the counter to come and help us. 

"Hello, we would like to look at some of the rings" Jin said and pointed down at the case. "My friend here is looking to buy one for his girlfriend, but he don't speak english very well" 

I rolled my eyes what Jin was saying but he was true. I wouldn't be able to know what to ask in this type of situation about these rings. As well I am nervous as it is. One of getting caught, two this is big step but it is one that both me and Lyn want to do. She knows I want to propose to her and I know she will say yes but I want this to be so special and perfect for her. The salesperson of the table we were at came over and took out a few cases of rings from the glass case. He looked at me and smiled. 

"So what is the budget for the ring?" He asked and thought for a minute. 

"There really isn't much of a budget I don't want some tiny barely seen but I know she wouldn't want anything to extravagant" I said to him with the help of Jin. 

"She is a pretty simple girl, but she does a lot of dying and styling hair so something durable as well" Jin added in and the salesperson nodded. 

"Let me get some more from a different case here are some that would probably be something you might like" He says then walked off. 

While he was gone a couple walked in the girl had a BTS hoodie and me and Jin pulled our hates down to cover up more. As well turned our backs to them hoping to not get seen. Jin peeped over and sighed heavily as the salesperson was talking to them. 

"Sheesh hope he doesn't mark up the price for you, her phone case has your face on it" He told me and then looked down when the couple looked over. 

"D-mn I was hoping we wouldn't get caught, hopefully the salesman is stupid" I told him and I saw a couple of rings that looked beautiful and I knew Lyn would like. 

"Jin-hyung this one might work, I wish it had a band with it though. I know Lyn probably wants something that matches together" I say to him holding up the ring it was beautiful though.

"Sorry guys I am back these here I have brought are some of the vintage and unique rings" the salesman says setting down a case and opening them. 

"look at this one she would like this" Jin says holding up another beautiful ring

"Thats really elegant but I don't know if it is lyn." I said to him looking at the ring. I looked back down at the case and I saw something classy and simple but unique. "how much is that set?" 

"This set is about $3,500. Its designer made for this store alone" He says and I held it in my hand. 

It was beautiful and felt like Lakyn. I looked at some of the others but the set felt like it was the only choice I could make. It was her, and I knew that once I saw it. I could imagine her wearing it. 

"I'll take the set," I told him and he nodded. 

"Is that paying in full or payments?" He asked. 

"All right now" I said pulling out my black card to pay for it and the Salesperson nodded and led me to the register to pay for it. 

"The size you want it in?" He asked and I pulled out a ring I had taken from Lyn's jewelry. 

"Uh this size" I tell him and he took the ring and got the size for it and got everything gathered for me.  While I was waiting jin nudged me  and pointed out the couple that had come in was getting closer. We moved to act like we were looking at other stuff not wanting to get caught. 

The salesperson brought it back and handed both the ring and the ring set in a box to me and after paying for it all me and Jin headed to the door. Then we heard a big gasp. Sh-t! 

"OMG Jin oppa and Suga Oppa" We heard the fan say. We sigh and turned around to see the fan and her boyfriend. "OMG it is you, omg can I have a picture, or or sign my phone case. OMG why are you here?" 

"We are sorry but we are running late for practice" Jin said and I nodded agreeing with him. 

"can I have a picture please" She says again trying to walk towards us and we moved closer to the door scared what she might do. 

"we are so very sorry but we are very busy" Jin said to her again. I motioned at the door and the guards come in to help us leave. 

We were led out and rushed to the black SUV and taken to the stadium. I sighed heavily and Jin did as well. I pulled out the ring box and opened it looking at the ring. It will be beautiful on Lyn. 

"Yoongi how do you and Lyn do it. You know of Rose I haven't ever called her her real name with you but have asked for your basic advice" Jin started and I looked at him and nodded. 

"What do you want to know specifically?" I asked him 

"How can you and Lyn keep a tight knit relationship together and with Mini. As well as work hard" He asked me. 

"Well to start, Lyn changed my world as soon as she entered. My thoughts only filled with her and she became my muse. It was easier though that I could see her everyday at work, then meet her at her apartment or she would meet up with me to head to see us at the dorm or at my place afterwards. She is different then me she is more outspoken and is very willing to work with our schedules. Though she makes sure I spend as much time with Mini as I possibly can as well as she is very sweet and humble so she doesn't fight to have attention she isn't selfish. She knows my job changed me as well as how important to army I am. She doesn't take for granted the money we are blessed to have. If your rose is anything like Lyn I think you should work for it. Now Jimin and Jae you see have a much harder time as Jae is also an Idol. I don't know how they make it work, Jimin has to share her with the world and see guys talk about her, I don't think I could do that.  Your rose is she famous? or understand the industry? I believe you told me she is Korean but was living somewhere else in the world right?" I tell him, I could tell this was something he really needed. 

"She is Korean, her cousins is one of my video game friends who is also an Idol, so she does understand. My issue is though as well, I can't pursue her. She has a longtime emotionally abusive boyfriend. She hasn't told me he is but I can tell how she acts, she is scared to talk when he is there." He sadly told me looking down. "I haven't tried flirting with her at all but I care about her so much. I feel connected to her. Like she is supposed to be in my life, like a soulmate." 

"I am sorry but you know all the pretty roses have thorns you have to deal with till you can enjoy the blossom" I tell him trying to give him some encouragement. 

"I know, that is how I have tried to look at it but, it so hard to have seen her slowly wither" 

"I am sure if she is supposed to be your soulmate as you feel like she is, it will work out in the end. Destiny always has a way of stepping in and helping you. She may get the courage and leave her a-shole of a boyfriend and come after you eventually. Because if you feel that way she must as well because she had to have given you some encouragement." I tell him patting his back as some extra encouragement.
