My Best Friend Nearly Tramples A Kid
"Brinnnnnnnnnnnnnnng! Brinnnnnnnnnnng!"
My eyes slowly opened as my noisy alarm screamed on my bedside table.
"Shut up." I groaned, shoving my face back into my pillow, unwilling to greet another day.
"Brinnnnnnnnnnnnnnng!"
"Fine." I muttered, slowly sitting upwards and grabbing the stupid thing, shutting off the noise.
Only to hear the twenty other alarms of my cabinmates go off simultaneously.
"Brinnnnnnnnnnnnnnng!"
"God!" I yelped, shoving my fingers in my ears as the others around me snapped their eyes open.
The girl in the bed beside me smirked as she got up, hearing me get startled. "So the supposedly fearless Alex gets scared by alarm clocks? Who knew?"
"Shut up, Jez." I muttered, and smacked her head with my pillow.
"Ow!"
Jez was my best friend, which might seem weird to you considering how we were ragging on each other. It's just how we work.
"Dude, get a hairbrush." Jez grinned at me, pointing at my currently tangled brown hair.
"I could give you the same advice." I smiled. She always went to sleep with her curly black hair in a ponytail, but as usual, the ponytail holder had fallen out and her hair was a mess.
I grabbed my clothes, heading to the bathroom to change.
I pulled on my faded blue jeans and my long sleeved dark green shirt, which had a small hole near the edge of the left sleeve from a mistake in training. I almost lost my whole hand.
I brushed out my straight brown hair, and pulled it back into a high ponytail, leaving the bathroom, allowing another girl in.
I walked back over to my bed and slid my feet into my black boots. Not your average Uggs, mind you. Just some normal, everyday black boots made out of leather.
Jez came back to her bed, her curly hair tamed into a braid down her back.
"When does Cubak want us out there?" I asked her, talking about the thirty-two year old woman who ran the camp.
"Six thirty." Jez replied.
I looked over at my clock. Five forty-five. That left us less than an hour to grab breakfast at the mess hall and get to the training grounds.
"Come on, Jez." I said, grabbing my friend's arm and pulling her out the door, stopping by the door to get my brown leather jacket, and towards the mess hall.
---------TIME SKIP----------
I ran past the giant sign that pointed to different places in the camp, Jez right behind me.
Oh, yeah. A little about the camp.
The camp didn't really have a name, it was just there. The kids here, well, we were trained to be hunters. Not hunters as in deer hunters, no. Hunters as in demon hunters.
Yeah, I know. It's a lot to take in. I'll give you a bit.
Done?
Okay then.
The world needed more hunters, and whoever stumbled across this camp was taken in, and trained. We all had a reason for being here.
My reason is another story for another time.
I'd been at the camp for eight years, and Jez had been here for seven. That was another thing about the camp- Chrissie Cubak, the trainer, didn't like allowing the campers to go out into the world. She said she didn't want anyone's death on her hands.
That was a problem for me, because I wanted out. No, not wanted, needed out. At the camp all we do is train and train and train. The real world is where you see if you're good or not.
Alright. Enough about the camp.
Jez and I bolted through the camp, dodging random campers who were just waking up themselves.
Jez stopped a mini-timer on her watch when we got to the mess hall. "Two minutes and twenty-six seconds." She beamed.
"Did we...beat our...record?" I asked in between breaths.
"Nope. Ten seconds off."
"Probably from you having to dodge that new kid." Jez laughed a little, probably remembering the kid. They don't say it, but you can tell who's newer and who's not. The newer ones seem to be scared of everything, and I don't blame them. Finding out that almost every monster you've ever known is real?
Yeah. It's a little scary.
"Come on, Jez, we can't be late." I pushed open the door to the mess hall and we went inside.

I literally cannot believe I made it this far. When I started Wattpad, I had no clue I would end up here, with you guys and all the awesome support you give me!!!!!
This is a brand new book for my fellow Supernatural fans, and to celebrate 1,000 chocolate chips!!!
And hey, even if you aren't a fan of Supernatural, I hop you'll still read this story, because you won't have to be a fan of Supernatural to like this book (hopefully XD)!!!
Another note: I will be deleting "Cupcakes with a Bit of Magic" because I wasn't sure where to take the story. However, I REALLY want to do a Cupquake story for you guys, and I was wondering if anyone had any cool ideas you would want me to try out for a Cupquake story?
Anyways, thank you all SOOOOOO much for 1,000 chocolate chips!!!!!!!!!!!
