I don't know why but my friend (yes the same one from the other chapters) has started to fake having tourettes. Now obviously assuming someone is faking having a syndrome like tourettes is a bad thing but she is literally faking it like i have proof.

Firstly, tourettes is genetic, correct me if i'm wrong. Wikipedia for example says 'The exact cause of Tourettes is unknown, but it is well established that both genetic and environmental factors are involved' 'Non-genetic factors-while not causing Tourettes- can influence the severity of the disorder'

She tells me literally everyone's life stories   in her family so i think it's a little strange she never mentioned anyone ever having tourettes. For example her great-grandmother owned a castle in Wales that she turned into a hotel to pay for her husband's medical bills.

So she had like a lot of tics, i forgot what the term is and i don't want to be offensive but like a lot of tics in a row and then she said something along the lines of 'i should probably find out about that' insinuating that she doesn't know what tourettes is, but like she does, to be completely honest, she saw it on tik tok.

On tik tok there are many people with tourettes, obviously, why wouldn't there be? It's great because it teaches people about something they wouldn't know anything about otherwise and people get representation and it's awesome. And some of them are so popular that no matter what, if you have tik tok, you will see them. So i personally find it difficult to believe that she hasn't heard of tourettes, especially seeing as her tics just happen to be IDENTICAL to one girl who got pretty popular.

We just started the Christmas holidays so we aren't in school so i hadn't seen her in three days but like how quickly does tourettes develop because she went from having no tics ever to having severe tics in four days and the 'i should probably find out about that' suggests that at the very least it has been happening before today but like i've seen her everyday for ten years so like, okay???

But like why???? Why would you fake that???? And I don't know if I should just leave it and hopes she stops or what. But honestly like why????????
