Do you remember happy together?

Summer night parties in Monaco. The summer hits, the night's hot breeze, the club lights, and most importantly, the beautiful people.

Rose, Jocelyn, and Nash had come to the party. They were drinking and having fun as they talked loudly, their words getting slurry as the drinks kept going around.

"Take another shot with me, come on." Nash looked at Jo and she shook her head laughing.

"I'm done doing shots." She laughed.

"Come on, pleaseeee." Nash begged, grabbing her hands softly.

"Fine." Jo rolled her eyes and Nash squeezed her hands smiling.

"At the count of three." Rose spoke.

"Three!" Nash yelled and they both took their shot.

They grimaced at the strong taste. They looked at each other and they bursted out laughing.

"I was doing the counting." Rose hit Nash's arm and he chuckled.

"I'm sorry Rosy-Rose." He pouted and Rose rolled her eyes.

"Don't call me that ever again." She raised her finger and Nash raised his hands in fake surrender.

"Gosh, I hate shots." Jo put her hands on her hips as she kept trying to process that shot.

"Come on Jojo, don't you like parties?" He teased her.

"I like parties, I don't like shots." She replied.

"Shots set the mood." Nash extended his hands. "The dancing mood." He grabbed Jo's hand and spun her around as she chuckled.

Suddenly, they heard loud chatter. The three friends turned their heads to try and figure out what was going on. They soon saw what everyone was looking at...who.

Charles Leclerc had just walked in followed by Joris and his personal trainer, Andrea. Jo couldn't help but stare at him as he made his way towards the bar.

His eyes crinkled as he laughed when Andrea made a silly joke. The club lights reflecting on his eyes as Jo's eyes analyzed every single one of his features.

She had seen him on TV a few times but he looked even better in person.

"What's the deal with him?" Nash asked as he took a sip of his drink and pulled out a cigarette.

"What's the deal with him? He's Charles Leclerc." Rose informed him as if he didn't know about the infamous star driver.

"I know who he is." Nash put the cigarette in his mouth and lit it up. "But what's so special about him?" He asked blowing out smoke and Rose rolled her eyes.

Jo kept staring at Charles as he ordered a drink, she tried reading his lips.

"He's an F1 driver, he's rich and extremely good looking." Rose raised three fingers, naming each point. "Right Jo?"

Just as Rose let out her question, Charles felt a pair of eyes on him. He turned around and panic invaded Jo as he saw him look at her direction. She quickly turned around, rejoining the ongoing conversation and trying to act as she wasn't shamelessly staring at Leclerc.

"Huh?" She asked not aware of the conversation going on between her friends.

"That Charles Leclerc is insanely good looking." Rose spoke and Jo took a deep breath.

"He's definitely pleasant to the sight." She chuckled softly and Rose chuckled.

"See?" She looked at Nash, trying to prove her point to him.

"I don't get it. Personally, I think Sainz is more attractive but alright." He spoke and both girls chuckled.

Charles, who was at the bar looked back at Jo. She hadn't looked back at him. He saw her laugh and noticed how she scrunched her nose, her brown hair falling perfectly on her shoulders as she brushed it out of her face.

"Charles." He heard a voice calling him and turned around.

"Huh?" He replied confused, being pulled out of his trance.

"I was asking if you wanted a mojito." Joris spoke and Charles nodded.

"Uh...sure." He forced a smile.

"What where you looking at?" Joris asked looking around the room and spotted Jo at the other side of the room.

He whistled.

"Just your type." He patted his back abruptly and Charles grunted.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He tried playing dumb to avoid any further teasing from his best friend.

"You know what I'm talking about." Joris insisted.

"Leave him alone Joris." Andrea intervened. "We're here as best mates. Just to drink and have fun." He spoke as he handed both of them their respective drinks.

"Thank you Andrea." Charles smiled raising his eyebrows at Joris.

"I'm just saying, you're single and she's pretty and single." He raised his arms in fake surrender.

Charles turned his head to look at Jo and saw she was already looking at him. Their eyes met and she smiled softly, her heart skipping a beat. Charles' heart skipped a beat too as a soft smile unconsciously appeared on his face.

She looked away and Charles looked back to his friends.

"Come on mate, she freaking smiled at you. She's telling you to go over." Joris spoke hitting Charles' arm.

"I can't defend you anymore Charlie, she definitely smiled at you." Andrea took a sip of his drink. "And you smiled back." He added and Charles chuckled softly.

On the other side of the room. Jo was being teased by Rose.

"He definitely looked at you, and he smiled." Rose spoke excited and Jo chuckled.

"You're such an instigator, Rose." Nash spoke with a teasing smile on his face and Rose hit his arm making him chuckle. "You've got the little guy obsessed Jo, he's still looking at you." He pointed discretely towards the bar.

Jo was about to turn around but Rose stopped her.

"Don't turn around you fool." She grabbed her by her shoulders.

"Do you want me to scare him off?" Nash asked.

"No." Both girls replied at the same time.

"Okay. Geez." He raised his hands in fake surrender and took a sip of his drink.

"Here's what you're going to do." Rose wiggled her finger, signaling Jo to come closer.

She whispered something in Jo's ear as Nash crossed his arms in front of his chest looking at them. Jo smiled and looked at Rose nodding.

"What did you tell her?" Nash asked when he saw the smiles of complicity on his friends' faces.

"Girl stuff." Rose replied and Nash glared at her. "Go." She gave Jo a little push.

Jo chuckled and started walking. She was going to do just what Rose told her to.

"Do you think it's a good idea?" Nash asked as he saw her friend walk in front of Leclerc, catching his eye just like she wanted.

He saw them smile at each other and Jo walked towards the balcony. Joris shook Charles by his shoulders and he smiled looking down.

"What do you mean? It's Charles." Rose looked at him, crossing her arms.

Charles put his drink on the bar and finally stood up as Andrea and Joris cheered him on.

"That's why." Nash spoke raising his eyebrows as he saw Charles follow Jo out to the balcony.

Jo was leaning on the railing, the night breeze blowing her brunette hair. Charles saw her and stopped, taking a deep breath of courage.

He walked towards her and leaned on the railing besides her. Jo's heart raced as she noticed his presence, smelling his cologne. She pretended not to notice him, still looking at the stars.

"Do you see that star?" He asked pointing at a star and Jo looked at him.

"You mean the brightest one?" She asked and Charles nodded.

"It's called Sirius, the brightest star in the Earth's night sky." He spoke and Jo chuckled softly.

"Do you talk about the stars to every girl you meet?" She asked and Charles looked down at her.

"No." He replied and she chuckled looking down. "I'm..." He was about to introduce himself.

"I know who you are Charles Leclerc." She spoke and he laughed softly.

"A fan?" He asked tilting his head and she made a thinking face.

"A monegasque." She replied straightening up and he smiled. "I'm Jo." She introduced herself.

"Jo?"

"It's short for Jocelyn." She chuckled and he raised his eyebrows.

"Well Jocelyn..." He took a deep breath. "I think you're really pretty." He let out and Jo chuckled looking down, trying to hide how flattered she was.

"Thank you." She looked back at him. "I think you're really pretty too." She joked and Charles laughed. "You're an F1 driver, right?"

"F1 driver for Scuderia Ferrari." He joked and she rolled her eyes with a smile.

"Alright Charles Leclerc F1 driver for Scuderia Ferrari." She joked and he chuckled. "How does it feel?" She asked.

"How does what feel?" He asked looking at her curious.

"Going at that speed, I'm sure it's such an adrenaline rush." She spoke.

"I could explain it to you..." He paused taking a step closer to her. "Or I could show you." He shrugged putting his hands in his pockets.

[...]

"Are you fastened?" He asked looking at her and she nodded with her seatbelt on.

This Ferrari was the most amazing thing Jo had ever seen in her life.

"Ready?" Charles looked at her.

"Just step on the gas." Jo replied impatient and Charles chuckled amused.

He stepped on the gas and the car quickly picked up speed. Jo felt the wind of the rolled down windows blowing her head. She laughed as she felt the speed increase, grabbing onto the sides of the car.

Charles stepped on the brake and the car stopped abruptly. He put his arm on Jo's chest as she went forwards. She chuckled looking at him as she brushed her hair out of her face. He chuckled looking at her, his hand still on her chest.

"Not exactly an F1 car but the closest thing I can give you right now." He spoke smiling.

right now

Those words resonated in Jo's head.

"I want to do donuts." Jo spoke and Charles raised his eyebrows smiling.

"Really?" He asked surprised.

"Yeah, I've always wanted to." She replied.

"Okay, I know the perfect place to do donuts." He stepped on the pedal at a normal speed.

"Do you have a cord?" Jo asked and Charles gave her the cord to connect it to her phone and play music.

Charles looked at her with a smile as he saw his focused she was scrolling through her playlist.

"Oh my God, I love this song." She picked a song and Charles chuckled amused by her excitement.

Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood started playing.

"All I am is a man. I want the world in my hands." She started singing and Charles chuckled as he kept his eyes on the road.

He heard her sing, occasionally looking at her. Admiring her brown eyes, her brown hair, her fair skin, and her perfect rosy lips.

"'Cause it's too cold. For you here." She sang using her phone as a fake microphone.

"You have a beautiful voice." Charles spoke and looked at her briefly, seeing a smile on her face at his compliment.

"Thank you. I actually want to be a singer." She spoke.

"I think you'd make an amazing singer Jo." He told her smiling softly and she smiled back.

"Do you write?" He asked.

"Yeah, I love writing. Music is like poetry but sung." She spoke and he nodded. "I also play guitar."

"I've always wanted to learn how to play guitar. I just know how to play piano." Charles spoke.

"I've always wanted to learn how to play piano." She chuckled.

"Then I give you piano lessons and you give me guitar lessons, how about that?" He asked stopping the car slowly.

"Deal." She extender her hand.

"Deal." Charles grabbed her hand, shaking it softly. Closing the deal. "Are you ready to do donuts?" He asked and she nodded excited. "Okay." He smiled and pressed on the gas.

The car started spinning around and Jo laughed excited as she held onto the car's handle. Charles put his hand on Jo's thigh and she felt his warm touch on her bare leg.

"Now you do it!" Charles yelled pulling Jo towards him, grabbing her waist. "Grab the steering wheel!" He laughed.

"What?! Charles!" She yelled when he let go of the steering wheel. She grabbed it keeping the car stable. She laughed and Charles laughed along, putting his hands behind his head.

Charles stopped the car and Jo breathed heavily. They both bursted out laughing as Jo laid down on Charles' lap. She looked up at him and he grabbed the golden chain with her initial softly. Jo put her hand over Charles' as their laughter faded slowly.

They smiled staring into each others eyes. She sat up and was left facing Charles. Charles breath got heavy as he felt her breath close to his. His heart pumping against his chest. He put her hair behind her ear and rested his hand on her neck, softly pulling her in.

Their lips met and moved in synch. Jo's heart pumped against her chest like it was about to jump out of her chest. She played with Charles' hair making him smile in between the kiss at the pleasant feeling of her fingers running through his hair.

He grabbed her waist pulling her in closer and she smiled in between the kiss.

Suddenly, Jo's phone rang, interrupting their kiss. She grabbed her phone, unplugging it and saw Nash's name on the screen.

"You got to be..." She cursed under her breath and Charles chuckled softly as she answered the phone putting it on her ear. "Hello?" She answered annoyed.

"Sorry for interrupting your make out session, just wanted to make sure you're safe." Nash spoke when he noticed Jo's annoyed tone.

Charles started placing wet kisses on Jo's neck. She smiled softly as he gripped her waist.

"I'm safe, where are you? And where's Rose?" Jo asked as her stomach fluttered when she felt Charles' heavy breath on her neck.

"I took Rose back home and I'm at your apartment making sure you come back home alive." He spoke and Jo chuckled softly at Nash's worrying.

"You're such a paranoid, I'm on my way." She told him so he would calm down.

"Thank you."

She hung up the phone and Charles looked at her. His hair was messy, his lips red and his cheeks flushed.

"Do you want me to take you home?" He asked and she nodded.

"Please." She whispered as his eyes shifted from her eyes to her lips.

He couldn't resist and went in to kiss her again. She put her hands on his face and he smiled.

[...]

Charles stopped in front of Jo's building.

"Thank you so much. I had an amazing night." Jo spoke and Charles smiled genuinely.

"I had an amazing time too Jo." He whispered.

She opened the car's door to get out but before she could, Charles pulled her arm softly. He pulled her into a soft kiss.

In one night, he had become addicted to kissing her soft lips, they tasted like a mix of coconut and summer.

She smiled and squeezed his hand softly before getting off the car. She closed the door and Charles followed her with his eyes. She stopped at the door and turned to wave at him. He waved back and she chuckled walking in, disappearing behind the doors.

Charles pursed his lips and licked them, still savoring her lips on his. He wanted to know more about the brunette with a pretty voice.

[...]

Jo walked in her apartment, leaving her keys on the table.

"Nash, I'm here!" She yelled as she walked in. "Nash!" She called him again but got no answer back. "Na..." She stopped when she walked in the living room and saw him asleep on the couch.

He had fallen asleep while he waited for her. She smiled amused as she saw him breathe in and out peacefully.

She grabbed a blanket that was on another couch and threw it over him, covering his body.

"Goodnight Nash." She tousled his hair softly, not wanting to wake him up.

She walked towards her room and kicked her heels off her feet before throwing herself on her bed.

She looked at the ceiling and smiled remembering her night. She remembered the smell of his cologne, his green eyes, his fluffy hair. She took in a deep breath brushing her hair back.

What did she expect? She had just kissed Monaco's golden boy.

[...]

Rose, Nash and Jo had gotten out to run some errands together. They loved spending time at the supermarket and at the mall.

"But all your songs are amazing, Jo." Nash spoke, carrying most of the grocery and shopping bags.

"They're not record worthy. I need something that transmits emotion." She spoke moving her hands around dramatically to prove her point.

"So you need something terrible to happen to you?" Nash raised his eyebrows, scrunching one as he questioned the brunette.

"Not exactly, it can be something good." She spoke as she unlocked her apartment.

"Something like what?" Nash frowned.

"Love." She replied with a smile and opened the door.

She walked in, not expecting what she was about to find. She dropped her bags to the ground as she saw her apartment filled with different types of flowers. Rose and Nash looked around and then at each other.

Jo chuckled putting her hands on her chest as she saw a letter on the counter. She grabbed it softly and read it.

I still owe you those piano lessons
- CL

"Please tell me it was Charles." Rose spoke excited.

"It was him." Jo smiled, feeling her heart jumping with excitement and her stomach getting filled with butterflies.

Rose grabbed her hands and squealed, making her chuckle.

"This is so romantic. He filled your apartment with flowers." Rose looked around and then saw the letter in Jo's hand. "What does it say?" She asked.

"I still owe you those piano lessons." She read out loud with a smile. "And his number." She added looking at her friends.

"Are you gonna call him?" Nash asked.

"Of course she is." Rose replied instantly.

"I was asking Jo." Nash raised his eyebrows and Rose rolled her eyes at him. He looked at Jo attentively.

"He gave me flowers..." Jo started saying.

"You don't owe him anything for that. They're gonna dry up anyways and you'll have to throw them away." He shrugged and Rose hit his arm, glaring at him. "What? It's true."

Jo looked at the piece of paper and took a deep breath.

"I'm gonna call him." She spoke and Rose clapped. "Right now, actually." She added grabbing her phone from her pocket.

"Right now?" Nash asked.

"Yeah, right now." She smiled as she typed the number in her phone.

She put the phone on her ear. The line started ringing. Nash and Rose looked at her expectant. Jo get her heart race when she heard the ringing stop.

"Hello?" Charles' voice sounded on the other side of the line.

On his apartment. Joris and Andrea looked at him expectant. Charles had been nervously waiting for Jo to call him all day.

"Is it her?" Joris asked in a whisper.

"Hey Charles, it's Jo." He heard her sweet voice and felt his heart skip a beat. He gave Joris a thumbs up and Andrea and him high-fived.

"I was wondering when you'd call." He smiled as he paced around the room.

"Thank you for the flowers. They're really pretty."

"I...I didn't know which ones to get you so I got them all." He stuttered nervously and Jo chuckled finding his answer the most romantic thing ever.

"My favorite flowers are dahlias."

"Another thing I now know about you." He spoke and Jo smiled looking down.

"I'm calling for the piano lessons." Jo joked and Charles chuckled.

"Of course, the piano lessons. Ms...?"

"Lexington."

"Ms. Lexington, when are you available?" He made a low-pitched tone.

"Tomorrow 3 pm."

"Tomorrow 3 pm at Charles' place. Does that sound good to you Ms. Lexington?" He asked jokingly and she chuckled.

"Sounds good to me. How much do I owe you?" She joked.

"I take credit, cash, and kisses." Charles joked and Jo laughed.

"Alright. I'll pay you tomorrow when I see you."

"Have a good afternoon Ms. Lexington."

"Same goes to you Mr. Leclerc."

Charles hung up and Joris and Andrea bursted out laughing.

"Shut up." He glared at them, unamused.

"I tAkE cReDiT, cAsH, aNd KiSsEs." Joris mocked Charles making a high-pitched voice.

Andrea laughed even louder.

"You're insufferable." Charles rolled his eyes throwing a cushion at Joris, who just bursted out laughing even louder.

[...]

Jo was wearing a white loose dress. She had a white ribbon tied around her ponytail. She walked in the apartment complex nervously, it was really luxurious.

She walked to the receptionist in the front office.

"Hey, I'm here to see Charles." She spoke and the receptionist looked up at her. "Leclerc." She added when she saw her raise an eyebrow.

"What's your name, dear?" She asked a little bit skeptical of her.

Many girls came with that same excuse, wanting to catch a glimpse of the famous driver.

"Jocelyn Lexington." She replied.

"Mr. Leclerc." The receptionist spoke when Charles answered the phone. "Jocelyn Lexington is here to see you, do I let her in?" She asked. "Okay, thank you." She hung up and looked at Jo smiling. "I'm sorry for being so skeptical." She apologized.

"Don't worry, I get it." Jo smiled softly.

"Apartment 310." She spoke and Jo thanked her nodding her head and walked towards the elevator.

Charles kept waiting by the door. He saw the frame by the door was crooked it. He fixed it quickly and put his hands behind his back. The doorbell sounded making him jump slightly.

He fixed his shirt and opened the door.

"Hey." He smiled leaning on the door.

"Hey." Jo smiled.

"Come in." Charles stood aside to let her in.

"Thank you." She walked in, not breaking the eye contact.

Charles closed the door and scratched his neck. Jocelyn looked absolutely beautiful. The sunlight coming through the window making her eyes glow.

"You look really beautiful." Charles told her and she smiled tilting her head slightly.

"You look really handsome too." She replied and Charles chuckled softly looking down.

Jo looked around the beautiful apartment. There was a white couch with red cushions, a lot of frames with paintings, and a white piano in the corner of the room, near a huge window that had a beautiful sight of the city.

Jo sat down on the piano and clicked some tiles. Charles walked slowly towards her. He stood behind her and lean down. Jo turned her head slightly when she felt Charles' presence.

"Now do, mi, sol." He put his hands over her, guiding her hands through the piano.

Jo looked at his hands over hers. Charles started humming the songs as he guided Jo's hands. Jo smiled when she realized what song it was.

"Beauty and the Beast?" She asked turning to face Charles.

"You like it?" He asked and Jo nodded.

Charles sat down on the piano and started playing. Jo watched him with a smile as he played the piano effortlessly creating a beautiful melody.

"Tale as old as time." Jo sang softly, following the melody Charles played. "Song as old as rhyme."

Charles turned to her, smiling softly at her melodious voice.

"Beauty and the Beast."

Charles stopped playing and turned towards her. He leaned in, not resisting the urge to kiss her. They moved their lips in synch and Charles put his hand on Jo's face.

"Now I want to watch Beauty and the Beast." Jo whispered and Charles chuckled.

"We can watch it." Charles suggested and Jo smiled nodding.

[...]

Charles had his arm wrapped around Jo. They were eating popcorn and watching the movie. Jo threw a popcorn and caught it with her mouth. Charles chuckled, finding this adorable.

"You want one?" She asked noticing his eyes on her. Charles smiled nodding. "Catch." She threw it and Charles caught it.

"Got it." He chewed the popcorn and Jo laughed.

Jo looked at the window and saw the moon and stars. It had gotten pretty late.

"It's pretty late. I should go back to my apartment." She spoke standing up and Charles paused the movie.

"I'll take you." He quickly stood up as Jo grabbed her purse.

"It's okay, I can walk." She replied shrugging with a smile.

"I'm not letting you walk." He tapped her arm softly before walking towards the table to grab his car keys.

His touch sent an electric jolt through her entire body. She turned to look at him.

"Let's go." He extended his hand.

Jo smiled grabbing his hand, intertwining their fingers.

[...]

Jo walked in her apartment with a huge smile on her face. She saw her living room and kitchen full of flowers which just made her heart pound even harder.

She was falling for him. How couldn't she? He was the perfect guy. He was sweet, kind, showed interest, and he was extremely good looking. He was a true gentleman.

<<<Maybe this is what love feels like>>>

Jo wondered and then tilted her head. She had gotten an idea. She stood up from the couch and grabbed her notebook from her dining table.

Feels Like

She wrote at the top of the notebook. She stared at the notebook page for a few seconds before she started writing.

This is what it feels like

She wrote down and dropped the pen. She had just met him yesterday. Could it be possible to fall for someone this quickly? Was she rushing?

Her phone buzzed and she looked at it

Charles

I had an amazing time

Charles  switched off his phone with a smile on his face.

"She got you smiling like crazy mate." Joris spoke and Charles smiled nodding. "Do you think she's the one?" He asked and Charles raised his eyebrows slightly.

"I don't know. We just met yesterday." He chuckled softly. "What I do know is it feels right." He spoke and Joris smiled. "It feels like the start of something good." He added.
