|a few weeks later|
Ever since the unfortunate death of the girl he likes Varian, has trapped himself in his room. His own dark thoughts clouding his mind as his baby blue eyes scanned the words on the page. Once again throwing the book across the room.
"It's no use!" He yelled out in anger, "stupid.. Zantiri .." Varian retreaved the book, maybe he couldn't think because he had hardly even eaten for the past 3 weeks..
Maybe it's because he lost someone he truly loved? Apart from Ruddiger and his father of course. Speaking of Ruddiger, Varian looked around his messy room pages of books scattered across the floor. Dishes were piled up since he barely even left his room anymore.
But underneath all that mess, there was no Ruddiger.. "strange.. he's usually always here.." Varian stood up his bare feet touching the ground as he shivered lightly. He couldn't find his other clothing so he just wore a plain black top and some black pants he found somewhere.

With Rapunzel, and Eugene
------------------------------
The brunette let out a tired sigh as she sank to her knees, the room filling with the sounds of her tears. Her small shoulders hunched over no matter how hard she tried she couldn't stop crying.
Her dimmed green eyes focused on a photo in her hands, it was of..her and Cass.. oh Cass.. the young princess really missed her best friend, it was true that Cassandra's death might have been her fault.. and every passing second she felt a strong rush of guilt eating away at her.
The way Varian acted.. Rapunzel just couldn't hold her happy demoner for long. Soon strong arms wrapped around the small princess, she didn't need to guess or even look at who it was.
After a few minutes of Rapunzel trying to compose herself she finally spoke, her voice was slightly hoarse from crying so much.
"I-its my fault she's dead Eugene.." the brunette could barely make out what she was saying. "No..n it's not Blondie-or um should I even call you Blondie? Maybe-"
Rapunzel was quick to interrupt she was clearly mad at herself.. and Eugene wasn't helping.. "Eugene.. seriously how could you think of giving me a different nickname, at a time like this?"She asked her face was hidden in Eugene's shirt.
Eugene audibly sighed. "Sorry Rapunzel.." he mumbled softly, gently stroking the females head."I just want to lighten up the mood..you seem more depressed then usual so I-I thought. "He choked down a sob. 'No.. He needed to be there for Rapunzel '
The brunette then looked up at her husband. Her green eyes faded slightly, not her usual bright eyes staring at Eugene. "No.. I'm sorry.. I just.. I want her back, I miss Cass.." she then broke down crying once again.
"I killed her! i-its my fault! I t-told her that using the sundrop and moonstone together would work.. in truth I just hoped that it would work." Her eyes were now wet with tears, Eugene gently brushed her tears away.
"It's okay Blondie.. but. I don't think you should tell Varian, he probably won't take it too well.. after all he did love Cassandra. Maybe even more then you.. please just get some rest okay..?" Rapunzel then let out a quiet sigh and only nodded.
-------------------------------
Little did the couple know a certain young alchemist heard the WHOLE conversation. His blood turned cold, "Rapunzel.. " he mumbled quietly walking back to his room.
"I.hate.you.." he threw a few viles on the floor in anger. It's not like Varian wanted to destroy her. Or did he..? No! He promised to himself that he wouldn't hurt anyone ever again! Not like the last time he lost control..
Promise.. Varian was slipped back to the past for a split second he saw his dad encased in the amber.
"All your fault.. " Cassandra stood in front of Varian, her eyes a bright blue. "You lost control.. all your fault.." she then walked closer to Varian, while he backed up. His back soon hit the wall. "Cassie..?"
Her lips formed a small smirk. "You did this to me.. not Rapunzel.. you.."
Varian woke up with a jolt.
"What the heck..?" He mumbled. Was that really real? He couldn't tell, but he did know that he needed to see Rapunzel instantly. He wanted to know if what she said was true.
Varian flicked his blankets off he didn't even realize that the moonlight illuminated his room, making it seem more spooky then normal. "Stay calm
Varian." He instructed himself, even if he was scared..he needed to be brave now. Varian remembered the night of the storm when he lost control.
He shivered slightly it wasn't even cold..he made his way quietly through the palace. Varian knocked on Rapunzel's wooden door leaning on the door hearing small sobs from inside.. was that Rapunzel?
Varian ever so slightly opened the door, what he saw almost shattered his heart. Rapunzel was kneeling on the ground hugging a photo he could only guess who it was..
"I'm sorry..Cassie.." her voice cracked as her wet tears dropped on the frame.
Varian widened his baby blue eyes. He suddenly open the door fully and ran to Rapunzel wrapping his arms around her shaking figure. The brunette couldn't seem to top crying, she barely even noticed Varian was there. "I'm sorry.." She just kept repeating to herself.
