When I woke up everything was blurry. Then my eyes got adjusted. When I looked up it was the one and only person I ever considered a real mom to me.

"hey mama Niq "

She jumped as everyone looked up. Then she glared at me. I already knew why. Because I didn't tell anybody about Danny and he finally attacked me.

"hey baby, how you feeling?"
"OK, I guess just sore. I'm glad you here."

She hugged me and I broke down crying. I looked up to see Morsea looking at me with hurt and anger in his eyes. I've been lying to myself and everybody else too. I hate this is how it turned out but I'm glad the guys were there.

"Shhhhhh, baby it's OK. We here for you, especially me."
"when did..... How long you been here? "
"since they brought you in and called me. What happened?"
"I was getting my stuff to stay with scoop and my aunt, and.. And Danny... "

Before I could finish the doctor came in.

"hello young lady, your very lucky. How you feeling?"
"I'm sore" (I mumbled)

As he spoke Morsea came and sat on the other side while scoop sat on the end of the bed, and my aunt was still sitting on the couch. Nelson and Troy were leaning against the wall. I'm blessed all my family well real family was here. Morsea grabbed my hand as the doctor continued.

"well is it OK if we talk about this with everyone here? "
"yes, it's fine" ( I stated quietly)
"OK I see you had a broken arm and ribs before, I take it, it's from the same person that attacked you this time"
"(nodding head) yes sir, my brother (sniffling) "
"well, besides the small tear from force, you and the baby are perfectly fine. You are a little dehydrated and underweight from what I like. So ima keep you a couple of days"
"yes sir, thank you"

The doctor walked out and left everyone to absorb what he just said. Nobody knew is was that bad. Morsea let go of my hand and stood. Scoop was sitting on the bed still, in shock and anger because we are really close and I kept it from him

Nelson and Troy just looked at me. I have no idea what they thinking. I dropped my head not wanting to look at anyone mama Niq still had my hand. Then Sea spoke as he glared at me...

"Dee, ima ask you this shit and don't even think about lying to me. Did you know you were pregnant?"
"(silently) yes"
"so when you were at scoops house with the bruises you were pregnant then"

I nod again

"how long have you known? "

I didn't wanna answer. This is not the way I wanted anyone to know I was still dealing with myself.

"a couple of weeks maybe a month now"
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!? Yeah you playing, cuz I know you ain't been fighting this nigga and putting you and my baby in danger. I'm tripping yeah I'm tripping"

I couldn't say anything Nelson and Troy were tryna calm him down but they were just as pissed.

"ANSWER ME NOW!!! "
"(crying) yes I knew, and I'm so...."
"save your fucking sorries mane. You on some bul..... "

He didn't even finish his statement as he stormed out without another word. The guys followed him to calm him down. I laid down and balled up, mama Niq covered me up

"he hates me (sobbing) "
"no he doesn't baby he's mad give him time"

Then my aunt finally spoke up.

"so the baby is Morsea's, not Danny's right? "
"yes ma'am. That's why scoop finally told me to come and move in with y'all. Because you wanted me too and also because he figured it out about me being pregnant and fighting Danny was gone cause harm. And when I went to get my stuff, mama was on the couch drunk or something. When I went in my room is was (sobbing harder) tore up and clothes and all my things everywhere. As I was getting my stuff Danny attacked me"

She got up and came to me. Holding me....then she said something.

"that bitch ugh had I known I would have got you sooner. Me and her haven't been cool since she slept with your uncle and got pregnant with you"
"Huh!? What you mean? "
"I'm sorry you hearing it like this but she kept you away from him and me as much as possible because he's your dad and he didn't leave me like she wanted. He told me about it and we went to counseling and worked thru it. You have always been and will always be my baby"
"so scoops my brother?"
"yes, ummmmmmm he doesn't know. Y'all are like 3mths apart"
"I'm sorry auntie, I'm so sorry "
"Shhhhhhit baby it's not your fault. Dr. Hunter can she still come to you. I'll pick up the payments"
"yes she my baby too and I know she's needs it more than ever"

They stayed until I feel asleep. Then mama Niq left she has work in the morning.

WTF man, like 1st this nigga been doing more than them just "fighting " he been beating her ass and touching her and shit then he rapes her.... And she pregnant with my baby. I'm so fuxking heated right now. I walked out hearing people call my name. I didn't stop till I got to car, and just put my head against the roof.

"Sea, man we know you mad, but she need you"
"need me? FUCKING NEED ME? she hid my baby from me. She was fighting Danny. I'm glad I stomped his ass and the cops got him. If he get out ima kill his ass"

Before they could say anything else I sped off. I'm so mad. This this can't be real right now. We still in school, I'm not tripping about the school part. I'm not even upset she carrying my seed, I'm mad she hid all this shit from me. How could she. We best friends, well supposed to be.

I headed to my house got out the car and walked in and went straight to my bar. I took a shot. As I was rolling a blunt. I took my shirt off. I paced back and forth aggravated trying to absorb all the shit I heard today.

She act like I'm not gone take care of my baby or something. Na she know I will WTF is she, was she thinking. I can't talk to her right now. Now I really gotta make moves a got a kid on the way. I walked up to my room and just laid on my bed after finishing my blunt and drink. As I laid down I just cried. I let her down. I should have been there more. Damn mane
