Chapter 7
Alan's POV
"Let's see something scary." Austin said as we looked at the movie selections.
"You just want me to be scared so you can hold me." I teased.
"Yea, well that's definitely an idea I'm not opposed to." He said with a smug look on his face.
"Fine, but when I scream like a five year old your not allowed to laugh at me." I said and he bought two tickets to the movie of his choice.
"Now food." He went straight and bought a giant bucket of popcorn and let me pick out whichever type of candy I wanted. I ended up with like eight packs.
"Austin there is really no need to buy eight packs of candy. I won't eat it all here." I said trying to get him to put some back.
"You can take it home. Plus you wanted those, so those are what you'll get." He said and swiped his credit card before I could protest anymore.
I carried the candy and he juggled the drinks and popcorn. We sat in the main back and I used an extra seat to sit all the candy on. We chatted while the previews were playing and when the movie came on, I won't lie the title screen scared me.
Austin let out a chuckle when I jumped.
"I told you." I said and crossed my arms.
"Aww sweetheart, it's okay I'll keep you safe." He said trying to hold back a laugh.
"Sweetheart?"
"Well it just kinda slipped." He said scratching the back of his head.
"I like it." I said shyly. Austin grinned and turned his attention back to the movie, but not before lacing his fingers with mine.

"Fuck this. I'm out." I screamed and started to get up. I didn't care if people were looking at me I was gone. I felt a pair of hands grip my hips and I was pulled down into Austin's lap.
"Hey you can't leave me." He pouted.
"Umm yes I can. Did you see what just happened!?"
"The girl died."
"She got her throat ripped out by her possessed sister! They should've never played with that damn Ouija board."
"I've never heard you cuss before, this is cute." Austin said holding me close.
"Shush it. Now let me leave. This is scaring me." I said softly. I didn't want him to think I was a scaredy cat but i couldn't help it.
"I told you I would protect you and that's what I'll do. It's almost over anyway."
He said and I groaned. I turned to where I was completely facing him and buried my face in his chest.
"I'm not watching." I mumbled into this shirt and then felt his chest vibrate as he chuckled. That was how I sat for the rest of the movie. I jumped every now and then and moved around on Austin's lap at the sudden sounds. Even though I didn't do it intentionally Austin seemed to be having a little trouble now.
The lights came back on and I got off of his lap. "Can we please go now?" I pleaded. The theatre room was empty now and was kinda creepy.
"Give me a minute." He said fidgeting in his seat. I kept the laughs to myself.
"I'm sorry."
"You and that cute booty better be." He flirted and I blushed.
"Come on." I said grabbing his hand and my leftover candy. We went back to his car and I stopped him as he opened my door.
"I had a really great time Austin."
"I'm glad." He smiled at me and I reached up, standing on my tiptoes, to kissed him on the cheek. Then got in my seat, trying to make myself as small as possible. I know it was just a kiss on the cheek but what if he thinks I'm weird or something. Austin got in the car and before staring it up I saw out of the corner of my eye that he turned towards me.
"Alan?"
I turned towards him. "Yea?"
He didn't say anything for a moment then he leaned across the center console and grabbed my face lightly with one hand to pull me to him before kissing me softly on the lips. I melted into the kiss. I brung a hand up to rest in his that was on my cheek. He pulled away after the short kiss only for me to pull him towards me for another. Finally I pulled away and sank into my seat with a smile that I couldn't wipe away. He grabbed my hand after he stated the car and we drove in silence.
"Hey Austin?"
"Hmm" he hummed.
"Could you possibly go two streets over and let me go ahead and pick my brothers up?" It would save me having to drive the whole way back over here.
"Sure no problem. Maybe we can all go out and get something to eat?" He suggested. I absolutely loved how Austin tried to include my brothers.
"That would be great."
We pulled up to the yellow house and I took a breath.
"You okay?"
"My grandmother is not the most loving person. She practically acts like we don't exist and when she is around us she's always critiquing everything we do. Her own daughter is dying and she doesn't even care." I started, but stopped myself before I went on a big rant. "Anyway. I'll be right back." I got out of the car and went to knock on the door. I heard running footsteps and someone shout, "This better be Ally or I'm leaving." Before the door opened. This can't be good.
