Alan's POV
I looked at the bills in my hand and sighed. One would have to be overdue this month I just couldn't do it. They had switched moms medicine, again, and this one was expensive. With a capital E. I would have to ask for more hours, but that wasn't a problem I guess. Especially since  I didn't have to pay anyone to watch the boys since Megan was always glad to keep them.

"Hey John I was wondering if there were any extra hours available?" I asked my boss. John was really good about offering me extra hours when he had them because he knew how it was. While he looked through whatever he had to look through there was a knock on the door. I was pretty sure it was Austin. Just like I thought when I opened the door I was met with his gorgeous brown eyes. He hugged me.

"Someone just quit, you can take some of there hours." John said into the phone and I smiled.
"Thank you so much." He gave me my new schedule and we said bye.
"What was that about?" Austin said dragging me to the couch.
"I took on some extra hours." I shrugged and cuddled into his side.
"Sweetie you're going to overwork yourself."
"Austin no I'm not. I have to do what I have to."

"I'll help." He offered and I shook my head. "Please Alan. Just one bill that's all and You take your regular hours back."
"Austin I can't."
"You can and you will." He said sternly. "I don't mean to sound like an asshole but you are already taking on more than you should. With school, your job, your brothers, sweetie you need to relax." He said and ran his thumb over my cheek.
"Austin I.....fine but I'll pay you back." I said.
"Nope."
"Please let me do this." I whined.
"Okay I'll make a deal. Let me take you out for your birthday and I'll call it even."
"You'll be spending even more money then!" I said while throwing my hands up in the air.

"Just let me help and let me spoil you for your birthday." My birthday was in two weeks and he had not stopped talking about him taking me out.
"Only this time. I can do this myself. Thugs just caught up on me. Bad timing." I said running my fingers through me hair.
"I know you can do it babe, but it's not bad to accept help once in a while." He kissed me softly and I sank into his side and he hugged me close.

"Where are the twins?"
"School trip. They stayed after today for it. I have to pick them up at seven."
"Really now?" Austin asked with a smirk on his face.
"What's that face for?"
"Ohhh nothing." He said before pushing me back on the couch and straddling me.
"Austin what are you doing?" I giggled.
"Not. A. Thing." He said while pecking my face between every word. Then he got a devilish glint in his eyes. I cocked an eyebrow at him and nothing could have prepared me for when Austin started tickling my sides furiously.

I was gasping for breath and laughed while Austin attacked my sides. I grabbed onto his biceps and tried to pull him off, but that obviously didn't work.
"A-Austin! Stop-p!" I yelled while laughing. He stopped and then kissed me deeply.
"God, I love you." He said and ran a hand through my hair.
"You what?"
"I love you Alan Anthony Ashby." I smiled and blushed as he said it again. I couldn't believe he actually loved me.
"I love you too Austin." I pulled him to me and kissed him harder than I ever had before. We pulled away and Austin gathered me in his arms. Snuggling his face into my neck. I breathed in the scent of his cologne and ran my finger through his hair.

We laid here in silence enjoying the mere presence of each other until Austin looked up at me.
"I want you to meet my dad." He said matter of factly. "You and the twins"
"Are you sure?"
"Alan I want you around for a long time you might as well meet him sooner than later."
I nodded. "Good point. When?"
"Tonight." He gave a nervous smile.
"Okay I think I can do that. After we pick the boys up?" He nodded an we laid on the couch until it was time to go.

We picked the twins up and headed to Austin's house. To say I was nervous was an understatement. We got there and I got out of the car with shaky hands. I hoped his dad liked me. I really really hoped he liked me.

Austin unlocked the door and the twins immediately ran to the kitchen to find Megan. I felt arms wrap around me and a light kiss was placed on my neck.
"My dad's probably in the upstairs den." Austin said. He walked around me and grabbed my hand pulling me upstairs. When we got there an older guy was sitting in the sofa watching some documentary.

"Hey Austin." His dad said and turned around to look at us. Austin walked up over in front of him and his dad glanced at our hands that were still locked together tight. He stood up and dang he was tall. A couple inches shorter than Austin but it was positive who he got his height from.
"Dad this is Alan my boyfriend." Austin said cautiously. His dad looked at us.
"Are you serious about this Austin?" He asked rubbing his forehead.
"Yes dad. I love him." The room was tense and finally his dad spoke. Giving me a weak smile.
"Nice to meet you Alan."
"Same to you sir." I said and nodded my head. Nothing was said for a few minutes.

"Okay boys. Let's go eat." His dad said turning to walk down the stairs. I looked at Austin and he kissed me softly. Well that could have went worse.
