Izaya: one gigai please.

urahara: gigai? You want to go out? I thought you're that kind who think collecting souls is boring.

izaya: it is boring. It's for some other fun.

Urahara goes into his storage and drags along a gigai " not afraid Supreme Judge get angry?"

izaya: you make it sound like I'm out to make a mess.

urahara takes out a badge with a stickman on it from the drawer " aren't you always like that?~"

izaya: meanie. Saying outright like that. Give me another that. This one can store a human's body as well right? Not just a gigai.

Urahara takes one of the badge and sucks in the gigai on the floor then places the badge on the table " sure. Here you go. Two gigai badges."

Izaya takes out his card and taps onto machine " see you." and takes the badges and leaves.

Izaya was waiting for a certain high schooler to finish school. The bell rang and he saw the girl he wanted to see " hello~~ Hiumura Mika."

hiumura stops in her steps " do I know you?"

Izaya: hm~~ Shinigami. 

hiumura: oh. How can I help you?

Izaya: do you want to go hell? As you people called it.

hiumura: I can? Wait, why would you bring me?

izaya laughed " why? Cos your mummy told you not to follow strangers randomly?"

hiumura: you look shady. And my mummy died, cos of me.

izaya: Aren't you curious at all? Where Niko works.

hiumura: why should I trust you?

izaya: how about your parents? Do you want to see them?

hiumura: they are dead.

izaya: they are in Paradise. Do you want to see that?

Hiumura hesitated " I really can see my parents?"

Izaya: Paradise?

hiumura: Alright.

Izaya takes out the badge " wear this."

Hiumura takes it " so cute." and she pins it onto her shirt. Her body gets sucked into the badge, the bag she was carrying drops onto the floor. She looks to her hand and saw it translucent " what just happened?!"

Izaya: you have a body, can't enter like this.

hiumura: then where's my body?!

izaya: inside the badge. If you break the badge, your body will come back out. So don't lose it.

hiumura: oh ok!! So... what do we do now?

izaya: find the nearest portal to get into Ferry Terminal.

hiumura: where is that?

izaya: A full body mirror would be great.

He brings her to the nearest full body mirror he could find, the one he went through to get here. It was inside a small shopping boutique. They go to the fitting room, the second cubicle where no one was in it, an opened door. He touches onto the frame of the mirror. The mirror glows and the glass turns into a gooey yellow light. He goes through the portal and stretches half of his body out and his hand " come on, princess."

" ok." she takes his hand and he guides her to cross the portal.

She crosses to the other side and sees many people. She looks to the left and right, there were many portals opened on the face of the cliff. Many were passing through to this side. She turned around and looked ahead, there were many people queuing up for something. 

hiumura: won't the mirror be seen? A portal opened like that.

izaya: only souls and relevant people can see the portal.

hiumura ; oh... So... This is the Ferry Terminal? What are they queuing for?

izaya: To get to Ground Zero, where a certain Judge is. Every soul is assigned a Judge. The boat goes there.

hiumura: we have queue too? It's so long...

izaya: I am a shinigami, we don't queue for this. We take the Shinigami Ferry.

He brings her to walk about 5 minutes to the east. They reach a huge gate where it says "Shinigami Ferry" on the top. Izaya reached for the handle and held it, some writings appear on the gate, running one round around the handle. The lock automatically unlocks . He opened the gate " ladies first."

"arigatou." and she goes through first.

" Hi! Welcome to take the Shinigami Ferry." a girl greeted. "Oho. Orihara Izaya. Is this why you finally decided to leave Ground Zero? For this girl? What's so interesting about her ?" She looks up and down to hiumura.

hiumura: Hiumura Mika desu. *bows* Domo.

" hehe. Kongou desu."

" eh~ So this is why you wanted a gigai. Was it comfortable? The gigai." urahara steps out , adjusting his hat.

izaya: and I thought I am the only busybody around here.

urahara: I get bored. Hi! Hiumura-chan. Urahara Kisuke desu. Niko's friend. 

" oh." urahara shakes hand with hiumura.

izaya: hurry up. I want to cross. 

" ok, ok." kongou makes the ship appear " please board. Please enjoy your ride and refrain from kicking and stomping on me. It hurts."

hiumura: eh?

kongou: kongou is ship. Ship is kongou. Please also wait for 15 minutes to confirm there's no other shinigamis for passengers.

Izaya boards the ship. Urahara stretches his hand out " ladies first." Hiumura nods and follows behind izaya " erm... arigatou." she says to kongou. 

hiumura: is all the things here like that? They all are kind of alive, like they all have souls.

urahara: to be accurate, they are created based on the success of the first batch of shinigami. They don't have souls. 

hiumura: don't have souls...?

urahara looks out the window " look hiumura. We only have darkness here." Hiumura-chan looks out " you're right... why is that? Doesn't time flow here?"

urahara: it's so time it feels like time doesn't flow here. It's actually very fitting for a place like that, because work never ends. The Judge never stops working, the shinigamis never stop working, the ferries never stop working and the souls never stop coming.

Hiumura: that's... very tiring isn't it?

urahara: you don't get tired or hungry after you die hiumura-chan.

hiumura: I see.

kongou: we are reaching Ground Zero in a few minutes. Please prepare to alight.

Ground Zero.

Hiumura: there's light coming from there.

izaya: beautiful huh? Only at this place, the entrance to Ground Zero, you can see this little light from that direction.

hiumura: is there where Paradise is?

urahara: hiumura sure knows some things in here.

" I have been told about it." She then points afar, a house that was built a little distance from the city they were about to enter." How about that house? Whose is it?" 

izaya: An Enma's Place. The place where they live and judge where souls go. The ferries sent the souls directly to places like that. There rest of the Enma Places are behind that building. That one belongs to Kairin Enma.

urahara: the buildings are all built on water so the ferries can all directly reach the Enma Places. Also, this guarantees the souls to be unable to escape to anywhere.

izaya enters the city " come on hiumura. Follow up."

hiumura: oh. Coming.

izaya: Welcome to Ground Zero.

She was presented a bustling city, all of a sudden, this place wasn't so unfamiliar anymore. It felt a lot like the city she lived in.
