Anna just wants to love and be loved.
She dreams of the security of a steady relationship, with a partner who is her lover, her mentor, her student, her most devout worshipper and her harshest critic, but most importantly of all, her best friend.

Anna hungers for someone to love and care for, someone to hold her hand as they watch the world around them change, watch their children grow and have children of their own.

Someone who will still want to kiss her cheek when she has grown old, and who will still want to receive her kiss in return.

She has so much affection to give, so much love and devotion to show.

Anna yearns to have children.

And so, so many have fallen madly and deeply in love with Anna.

She has loved them all in return.

Madly, deeply.

And when the time came, and The Turn happened, as it inevitably did, she had shared their grief.

And in her own way, Anna had loved them still, even as she broke their innocent, fragile hearts, one after the other, and had felt their tears, as if they were her own, even though, she could not cry for them.

And when the time comes for Anna to fall in love again, she knows, it will all be different this time.
This time for sure, The Turn will not come.
Can not come.

But, it always does.
