Peggy's POV
My alarm clock went off making me squeal with excitement. My sisters, Laf, Herc, Alex, and I had all planned a birthday party for John. I jumped out of my bed, throwing my yellow robe over my nightgown. I ran into Eliza's room and jumped on her bed.

"LIZA! Wake up!"

"Peggy go away!"
She threw her blue pillow at me and groaned.

"No! It's John's Birthday! We need to get everything ready for his party!"

She quickly turned over and shot up.

"Go wake Angie, Pegs."

I nodded and ran to Angelica's room. I knocked softly before going in. No one answered. I was going to knock again when the front door opened.

"Hey losers!"

I rolled my eyes. That voice belonged to my sister. I ran to the entryway and saw my sister holding hands with Thomas Jefferson!

"Angie! We need to set up the dorm! It's John's birthday! Also, hi Thomas!"

"Good morning to you too Pegs. Stop stressing everything is in the closet. Gifts, streamers, wrapping paper, utensils, you name it."

I hugged her and smiled.

"Thanks Ange. Now let's go get ready! I'll call Herc and Laf."
"
But they're in France?"
"I know!"

I ran to my room, locking my door behind me. I pulled up Laf's contact on my phone.

Ring ring ri-
Bonjour Peggy! How can help you?
Have you guys landed yet?
Oui. We're leaving the airport now.
Great! Come straight to my dorm!
Of course. Bye Pegs!
Bye!

I hung up the phone. Only I knew they were coming back today. It was one of my presents to John. I threw on some decent clothes and ran to help my sisters decorate our dorm.

Teeny tiny time skip to when they're done

About an hour later, our dorm was decorated with green streamers, balloons, and just green things in general. Angie had made a cake and it was beautiful. Everything was ready to go. Eliza had called Alex and John over to the dorm about 5 minutes ago. Laf and Herc were on their way from the airport. I smiled, knowing that this was going to be John's best birthday.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Come in!"

The door swung open to reveal John and Alex. John was blindfolded with a white handkerchief. I mouthed to Alex.
Take him to the living room. He nodded in response and set him down on the couch.

"Love don't move."

"I'm still confused on why the hell I'm blindfolded!"

John's POV
"I'm still confused on why the hell I'm blindfolded!"

Alex had led me to a couch but it wasn't in our dorm. It was silent in the room we were in. It was making me worried. I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by Alex.

"Take off your blindfold love."

I did so and was amazed to see my friends standing in room, side by side. I looked around and saw the dorm decorated. Tears formed in my eyes and threatened to fall.

"Happy Birthday!"

Each of my friends cheered at once. The tears finally fell, landing on my lap.

"Guys. Thank you." I wiped a tear from my face and sniffled.

"This means so much to me. I love you guys."

"John don't cry. Let's eat cake instead!"

I chuckled. Peggy always looked on the bright side. She took me into the kitchen and sat me down in a chair. Angelica lit a candle on the cake that was in the shape of a 21. They sang happy birthday to me and I smiled like an idiot. The cake was then cut and handed out. As I was given my slice, I leaned towards Alex.

"Lex, did you help plan this?"

"Mhm." I kissed his forehead before wiping frosting on his nose.

"I love you Lexi."

"And I you, John."

Angelica continued cutting the cake setting two plates aside from the rest. I raised and eyebrow at that but shrugged it off. I finished eating my cake and began feeding Alex his. He kept debating with me the whole time though, saying how he was grown and could feed himself. In the end, he gave up and let me feed him. I was talking to Alex when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned to look at the person before bursting into tears.

"Laf!"  I hugged him tightly making him chuckle.

"What about me?"

Oh my god I almost forgot about Herc. I let go of Laf and ran to hug Herc. He gladly hugged back. When I pulled away Peggy hugged me.

"Happy birthday John. Do you like your present?"

"Like it? Pegs I love it! Thank you!"

"Anything for you."

"Mes ami's? Herc and I have an announcement."

We all grew silent as Herc and Laf stood in the middle of the semi circle we formed. Herc took Laf's hand and brought it up, palm in.

"We are engaged!"

Peggy dropped the glass she was holding and squealed. She ran up and grabbed Laf's hand.

"Congratulations!!"

I ran up and hugged Herc.

"Congrats man. You're a lucky guy. So when's the wedding?"

"We were thinking after I graduate this year."

"This has officially been then best birthday ever. My best friends are engaged, my friends are happy, and I'm in a relationship."

"You're welcome John."

Herc gave me one of his warm hugs. I melted into it and hugged him back. Next to Eliza, Herc was the mom friend. I stopped hugging him and went to Alex. I came up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. He was startled as I spun him around.

"Thank you Lexi. This has been the best birthday ever."

"You're welcome John. I love you."

"I love you too."  I kissed him holding him close to me. When I pulled away, he rested his head on my chest. I played with his hair, smiling. I would give anything to become John Hamilton or maybe Alexander Laurens. I don't care as long as one day, I marry him.

And back to the books main characters. Also I know John's birthday was on the 28th of October. I was in the midst of writing this chapter during that time but just got around to finishing it. It's not the best quality chapter but hey, it's a chapter. I'm going to be honest guys. The whole reason I have the inspiration to write this book, is because of MtotheKay They keep me on my feet everyday and I always have someone to lean on.
