Alex's POV
I stared at my phone in disbelief. I cried. Tears pouring out of my face. It was my cousin.

Unknown: Is this Alexander Hamilton?
Me: Yes. Who is this?
Unknown: Usnavi, your cousin. Can we meet up for coffee tommorow at 11?

"Love what's wrong?" My boyfriend asked. Do I tell him? Shit. Of course you do Alex, he's your boyfriend.

"M-my cousin, Usnavi is alive. He just messaged me."

"But I thought your cousin committed suicide?" John was confused.

"That was Peter. Usnavi is my moms sister's son. We're the same age and grew up together until I was 13. They moved here to live in the states. I always assumed he was dead or forgot about me. Apparently not. He wants to meet up with me for coffee tommorow. Should I go?"

"Hell yes! Go meet your cousin. He probably missed you!" John smiled and hugged me. "I love you Lexi."

"I love you too John." I hugged him back and realized I haven't texted Usnavi back. I grab my phone and add Usnavi to my contacts.

Me: Sure! Can I bring a friend? I'm sure he'd want to meet you.
Us-Navy: Absolutely! I actually have someone you know and missed you dearly. See you tommorow!
Me: See you on the other side!

"Love! Sleep now!" John was falling sleep so I let him wrap his muscular arms around my small body.

"Okay fine! We can go to sleep. Goodnight baby girl." I kissed his nose and heard him mumble 'goodnight love'. We then fell asleep.

Time skip to the next morning brought to you by Phillip the Turtle because why not?

I woke up at 10:00 remembering I was supposed to meet Usnavi for coffee at 11. I woke up John because I had forgotten to tell him that he was coming with me.

"Alex." He had a very heavy southern accent in the morning but I loved it. "Sleep!"

"Nope! You are coming with me to meet Usnavi. Now get dressed Jonathan Laurens before I have to drag your ass out of bed. Literally!" I pulled the blanket off the bed and threw him some clothes.

"Okay fine. But we need to tell the other where we're going." I nodded my head and walked down stairs with him were everyone was.

"Guys, John and I are going out in town today to meet a friend. We might be gone all day so don't wait for us. See you guys later!"

We walked out the door and into town. We had agreed to meet at a place called 'Crossroads'. According to John, it was an amazing coffee shop.

We walked in and I immediately noticed my cousin working behind the counter. The place was empty to I ran up to him and screamed.

"USNAVI!!!!!!" He looked up from the counter and screamed my name as well. I introduced John and we talked for a few minutes.

"John. Alex. Come with me. There's someone I would like you guys to meet."

We followed him out the back of the coffee shop and across the street to a moderate sized house. The outside was absolutely beautiful. I wonder what the inside looks like. Usnavi opened the door and we followed him into the kitchen only to find...

"VANESSA!!!!!!" She stopped dead in her cooking and dropped her utensil. She ran up to me and gave me a hug.

"NO MI DIGA! IT'S MY LITTLE BROTHER!" I sure did miss her enthusiasm. "Who's this little bro? Boyfriend?"

Vanessa knew I was bi. Her and Usnavi were the first people I told. I told my mom right before she died.

"Actually yes. John, meet Vanessa. Usnavi's girlfriend ever since we were 11." John surprising gave Vanessa a hug and then Usnavi spoke.

"Actually, Vanessa," He paused and pulled her close to him. He seemed nervous but continued. "Is my fiancé." I spit out the water in my mouth that Usnavi had previously given me.

"FINALLY!!!!! IT TOOK YOU GUYS LONG ENOUGH! WHEN'S THE WEDDING?!?!?!?"

"Alex, love calm down." John placed his hand on my shoulder which is what surprisingly calms me down. I did as he said and calmed myself.

"Little Lion," I smiled at the nickname. Vanessa had always called me 'Little Lion' or 'Lil bro'. "I'm glad you're happy about the engagement, but that's not the main reason we came in contact with you."

I was scared. Did something bad happen to one of them?

"Then what is?"

I was nervous for the outcome. Usnavi began to talk but Vanessa cut him off. Vanessa took my hand in hers, John holding my waist reassuring me everything was going to be okay.

"Alex, I'm pregnant and we want you to be in our baby's life. We want you to be their uncle."

I was shocked. My cousin-in-law was pregnant. Finally reality kicked in. I gave both Usnavi and Vanessa a hug and poked at her stomach.

"You're carrying a baby in there!!!" I cried tears of joy. I was going to be an uncle. Once everyone was calmed down, Usnavi turned to Vanessa and they whispered so John and I couldn't hear.

Usnavi's POV
As Vanessa and Alex were talking, I couldn't help but notice that John seemed left out. An idea popped into my head. I turned to Vanessa and whispered in her ear so Alex and John couldn't hear.

"Vanessa, should ask John if he would like to be an uncle? I mean, from the looks of his relationship with Alex, they're going to be together for a LONG time."

"That would be awesome! I love you!"

"I love you too." I kissed her cheek and she went back to talking to Alex. I started to talk to John.

"John, answer this question for me. Do you see yourself having a future with my cousin?"

"Yes...it would be amazing to marry him senior year."

"With that being said, would you like to be an uncle to our baby?"

"Oh my god! Really!?!?"

He was crying now. I nodded my head smiling like an idiot. He then embraced me in a tight hug.

"Thank you so much." He whispered in my ear. I nodded.

Alex's POV
John was crying but it looked like tears of joy. I'll ask him when we get to his car. I checked my watch and realized we should probably head back to the Schuyler Mansion.

"Vanessa, Usnavi. I hate to say it but, John and I need to go. It's our Thanksgiving break so we were staying at a friend's house and told them we wouldn't be gone super long."

"Love, can we come back one day?" John gave me puppy eyes.
"
Of course." I kissed his nose and we said goodbye and left.

Even though they lived in Washington Heights, it was worth the drive to see them. When we reached the car, John grabbed my hand.

"I love you Lexi."

"I love you too babygirl."

We sat in the car for a minute admiring each other. God I love this man. One day I'm going to make him John Hamilton.
