Sorry for the lack of updates the world is literally on fire right now, and before the whole virus outbreak thing I was busy with school.

But I have nothing better to do now sooo...

Ash's POV

I had a dream. A dream to become the very best, befriend every pokemon, and become a pokemon master. Throughout my journey I met friends who had similar dreams as me. Determined to fulfill those dreams, we ventured out into the wilderness, capture pokemon we know will lead us to victory, conquer hardships, and never give up until the very end.

I now know that is impossible.

We live in a world where our accomplishments mean nothing. If you don't do this you are useless, if you do that someone will end up being better than you. So what's the point of achieving your dreams? No one needs to suffer anymore. Because Arinth will change it all, and I'll be there to help him.

Even if I need to eradicate everyone...

Including my friends.

I stood at the edge of the cliff looking over at Pallet town. Memories both good and bad played in my head, because soon this town will be no more.

"You're awully quiet" I turned to the voice and saw the evil version of "my" beloved. I didn't answer her and simply looked away from her, she may be pretty but her wicked grin disgusts me. I know these feelings aren't mine, it's his and I despise it. This is my body now, and I will not allow him to take control ever again.

She stood beside me still wearing that grin, she was in a playful mood. Skipping in place and humming a show tone as if she isn't about to be the one responsible in destroying this town. She looked at me, "Sooo I found him~".

"Found what?", she scoffs,"I found Malamar you moron" a vein popped in my forehead. "Who are you calling a moron?!" I said while I chokehold her, she elbows my stomach causing me to lose grip and she escaped from my hold.

"Only morons would get triggered over being called a moron, moron" she smirks.

"Arceus I hate you"

"I hate you too~"

"Enough both of you"

We both turned around and saw our master. Standing proud and tall covered in dark mist. He looked passed us smirking at the condition of pallet town. Trainers left and right were turning, giving up on their dreams. It was...beautiful.

So why do I feel bad?

Because we both know this isn't right!

Oh great here we go again. 'Just give up already. You will never be free, I control this body now!' I told my original counterpart.

Yeah well you bet that won't stay that way! I won't let you hurt anymore people!

'What's the point in achieving a dream we've spent years trying to achieve? I may be young but I feel like I'm 30 years old or something..'

That's the reason why we strive for it! All those years would be a waste if we give up now!

'Why don't you shut up already?! Be a good boy and succumb to Arinth already you piece of sh-'

No way! I won't let you hurt my friends! I won't let you hurt Serena!

I smirked 'And how are you going to do that Ashy boy?'

I felt him smirk, what is he planning...

"Serena" looked at me and frowns "Why are you smirking?" I blinked a couple of times and shrugged it off. I told her, "Just thinking of the brand new world".

"You two rest up, we will wake at dawn and start out conquest" Our king said. We both nod and start setting up camp. Once set up, we quickly went to our seperate sleeping bag and doze off.

Where am I?

I stood in the middle of a forest. The bushes were rustling, the flowers were swaying, and from the distance I heard giggling. I slowly walked closer to the sound and found...Serena and...me?

We were sitting under the tree, we were making flower crowns. She was smiling at me while looking directly in my eyes.

"Hey Ash?"

"Yeah Serena?"

"Do you think that some dreams are impossible to achieve?"

My other self was pondering but he never looked away from her.

"I mean, I'm a believer that everything can be achieved if you try hard enough"

She hums. She grabs my left hand and put a flower ring on my other self's ring finger. She looks back at me smiling genuinely, "So do you think that my dream would be possible?".

I tried to go closer to see my other self's expression, but I couldn't move. So I just watched from afar, my other half grabbed her by the shoulder and leaned closer to her ear. Her eyes widened and she teared up, I felt my chest grow warm. I grip my shirt and looked away, when I did I saw..me smiling.

"Finally, I get to see my other self" he took a step forward.

I still couldn't move.

"What do you want?" I glared at him, trying to break free from this unknown force that's holding me in place.

"I want my body back" He said while staring at me directly in the eyes. I grit my teeth, "No way". He chuckles "You have no choice".

"What did you do?! I can't possibly be this weak that you managed to break free already!" He smiles at me sympathetically. "I didn't really do anything. All I needed to do was wait for you to sleep so we could talk".

I growled at him "How is this possible?!"

He took one last step forward we were just one feet apart. He didn't look away, he just stood there staring at me. After a while he finally said, "Aura".

And everything went white.

Somewhere in pallet town was a honey blonde girl. She looked out of her window watching all those corrupted trainers in despair. The light in her eyes grew dim at the sight of what was once a vibrant town...was now covered in darkness. She looks down at her ring finger and on it was a withered flower ring, a tear dropped from her eye as she removed the ring from her finger crushing it in no hopes of ever being able to achieve that dream of hers.

She shakily fell to her knees and cried, muttering one name and that was

"Ash"
