Chapter 7

I had talked it through with Luke, we had both decided to go to Prescott High. Although Luke enjoyed using all the money, but just like me he wasn't a fan of showing it off. Plus he too hates snobby people.

So I was up, staring into the mirror all ready for my first day of school, although my baby was flashy, but I think going to school with a freaking limousine would be worse.

I applied a fresh layer of lipgloss and then walked to Luke's room, opening it to see a mess already.

Even though the room was a mess you could easily tell that it was well decorated, it was pretty much the same as mine but a little bit boyish.

Luke was sprawled diagonally across the bed his feet dangling on the edge.

I find a horn buried in the pile of his clothes, how he managed to make a mess in a day I don't know and why is there a horn randomly lying on his floor? I guess we'll never know that either.

I pick up the horn and quietly walk near him, I blow the horn right above his ear making him jolt up, "WHERE'S THE FIRE?" he yells looking terrified.

I burst out laughing, clenching my stomach, he looks at me and frowns, "Why are you laughing?! we should run there is a fire!"

At that I laugh harder, he gets up grabbing his phone, I grab his shoulder and say between laughter, "There is no fire!" he doesn't listen and continues to grab his stuff, I slap his cheek making him stop, "NO FIRE!"

"Ugh! Fuck me," he groans sitting on the bed and I sit beside him.

"I won't cause' it's illegal," I reply smiling, "and even if it was legal, I still wouldn't."

He looks at me and scowls; "YOU!" he says in a deadly voice, "Come here."

I get up and run but he catches me and throws me over his shoulder, "Put me down!" I demand, hitting his back; he drops me on the bed and starts tickling me, "Oh my god, please stop." I whine laughing and squirming under his hands; tears start to brim my eyes.

"Say 'Luke is the best brother anyone could ever have'," he says still tickling me.

"Luke is the biggest Fucktard I have ever met," I say, he nods in satisfaction as he stops.

"Good," he says but realization hits him, "Wait what did you just say?" he raises an eyebrow and starts to tickle me again.

"Stop! Luke! You're the best big brother anyone could ever have!" I say and he stops letting me go, "You're a fucking asshole," I say clutching my stomach and leaving his room.

Since it was my first day, I wanted to look special so I wore my blue denim jeans and a cute white off-the-shoulder full sleeved crop top that I found in my closet.

My red hair was loosely curled to perfection and with my makeup all done I was good to go. Luke came out of his room wearing a sky blue hoodie, black jeans and his vans, "Wanna grab breakfast on the way?" he asks grabbing his phone and car keys.

"What? Are you driving?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah," he shrugs, "I mean we can go together..."

I smile,"Okay, let's go," I say grabbing my phone and bag, "but I'm driving my baby tomorrow."

"Baby?" he asks raising his eyebrow, "You still call it that?"

I shrug, sitting in the passenger seat as he unlocked it, "I mean yeah, cause' like why not?" I say with a cheeky grin.

He rolls his eyes taking a seat and putting the car in the ignition, "Do you know anywhere we could go for breakfast?"

"Umm...Yeah we can go to that café I went to yesterday the food was amazing," I say smiling.

I tell him the directions to the café which were simple and we ate our breakfast, thankfully that arrogant barista was not here today.

Mom had texted me the address to the school earlier since she left early today she couldn't drop us off...

"So this is it, huh?" Luke mutters looking at the campus, people stared at us as we parked in the lot, "Why are they staring?"

"Isn't it obvious?" I asked rolling my eyes, "It's either your car or the hot girl sitting in it."

He looks around the car, behind the seats, "Where?" he asks looking again, "I don't see any hot girl here."

I slap his arm and he smiles, "Just kidding Eve, you look beautiful."

I smile and say, "You look good too."

"Duh," he says smirking.

I laugh and say in a falsetto tone, "Boy, you don't even know. We are like twin goals with a capital G," I take out my phone and say, "let's take a selfie."

We both laugh and we take numerous selfies with different poses, he whips his phone out and we take some in his too.

I send them to the group with, Matt, Ricky and Sally.

ME: First day wish me luck!

Sally: Good luck gurl! You look so hot!

Matt: Good luck Eve! Miss you already!

ME: Awww I miss you guys way more! At least you have each other!

Ricky: well you have your brother...

Sally: And James ;)

Ricky: Yeah him too...

ME: Yeah I know but idk what school he goes to yet.

Matt: but at least he said that he'll give you a tour, so you will meet him.

Ricky: yeah plus we will visit we want to see your new house.

ME: Bruh, wait till you see it.

ME: You'd be shooketh.

Matt: Hmmm well gotta go now, have to go.

ME: Bye.

Sally: Bye!

Matt: Bye, take care.

Ricky: Ba-Bye!

When we enter the building I'm in awe, I walk in the hallway with Luke beside me, people were still staring and whispering to each other, I rolled my eyes, "Luke, where is the office?"

"I'm not sure, let's ask," he says walking to a group of girls, "Hello ladies," he smiles.

They literally squeal not even kidding, "hey hottie," one of them says twirling her hair around her finger.

Really?

"What's your number?" asks another one.

"What's your name?"

"Free tonight?"

He smirks, "Names Luke, Yes I'm free tonight and here's my number," he says writing his number down and handing it. I elbow him in the ribs, "Ouch!" he mutters glaring at me.

"You're supposed to ask them something," I say rolling my eyes.

"Oh right," he says, "Ladies, as much as I'm enjoying this," he smiles, "I want to know where the office is..."

"Oh we'll take you there," one offered.

I roll my eyes, "No thanks, we know."

Luke raises his eyebrow at me. I take his hand and walk away and approach another girl who gives me the correct directions.

Luke questions me and I say, "I couldn't stand you flirting with Malibu Barbie dolls."

"Why?" he smirks, "You jealous?"

"Why would I be jealous?" I ask, entering the office, there was a lady behind the desk working on her computer.

"Cause' you don't get laid and I do," he says winking at me, I scrunch my nose and shake my head.

"Excuse me," I say grabbing the attention of the woman, "We are new, could you please give us the schedules?"

"Names?" she asks bored, well if I was her I'd be too.

"Evelyn," I reply

"Full name please," she says typing on the computer.

"Evelyn Marie O'Connor and this is my brother Luke Grey O'Connor," I say pointing at Luke who looked bored already and was texting on his phone.

She raises an eyebrow, "So you are the O'Connors?"

"Umm, what do you mean?" I ask confused, she smiles and shakes her head, she continues to type in the information in the computer.

"Here," she says handing Luke and I the schedules after they are printed, "You guys are in the same class, it is on the first floor, please ask anyone to guide you."

"Thank you," I smile taking the paper from her, Luke and I both walk out the office, "we have chemistry!" I groan looking at my schedule.

He looks at me, "We do?"

I nod, "Umm yeah..."

He scrunches his nose in disgust, "Eww sis, you're disgusting!"

I raise my eyebrow, What did I do? I think realization hits me as I hit him, "God Luke! I didn't mean it that way!" I say, "I meant we have chemistry! Like right now!"

He looks confused but nods when he finally gets it, "Ohhh..."

"Ugh!"I groan, facepalming, "Where is your locker though?"

He checks the paper again and says, "East wing, you?"

"East wing!" I smile, we both walk our class, I take out my phone and text James.

ME: First day of school...

James: Already?

ME: Yeah...

James: How's the school?

ME: it's okay... but people keep staring!

James: It's either cause you're pretty or because of your hair...

James: People have been staring at me because of my hair colour...

ME: it's probably about my hair colour too.

I was texting James when I bump into someone, "Sorry, I-"

I get cut off when I look at the person I bumped into, "James?!"

Luke looks shocked too, "Bro, you study here?"

"Evelyn, Luke?" he smiles, "This is your new school?"

"You study here?" I raise an eyebrow, but then smile real big, "Awesome!"

He smiles and we all hug, "This is so amazing! Wow!"

"I know right!" I say smiling, "Well since you are here, escort us to our first class."

"Okay, what is your first class?" he asks curiously.

"Chemistry," I groan, I can't believe I have to start my day with chemistry.

"Oh my god, girl are you in 12 A", he asks excited, I nod. "Me too, so we both are together for the whole year!" He says locking my elbow with his, he directs me to room 342, "This is your chemistry room, good luck!"

Luke and I grin.

"Thank you," I say hugging him once again, he asks, "Are you guys ready?" Luke and I breathe out and nod.

"Great, let's do this." James smiles, and we enter the classroom together.

I look up to see a girl, "Oh James! I missed you," she smiles hugging him.

"Hey Bella," James smiles hugging her back.

She looks between James' hair and mine and gapes, "James you're finally-"

He cuts her off by putting an arm on his shoulder abruptly, "Oh! By the way Bella did you meet my new friends that I met in LA?" he asks, "This is Evelyn and her twin Luke," he says pointing at me and then at Luke, "Oh and this was a punishment for losing a water fight... long story," he finishes pointing at our hair.

"Oh!" she says nodding in understanding, she faces Luke and me, "Hey! I'm Isabella, but please call me Bella," she says shaking out hands.

"You're beautiful," Luke says smirking as he shook hands with her.

Isabella rolls her eyes as she says, "Wish I could say the same."

I was grinning as I said, "I have a feeling we'll be great friends."

The teacher came in before Luke could say anything, we quickly took our seats, I see two empty seats in the back row and put my bag on the other, everyone turned to face me and James looked at me with panicked eyes as he slid a thumb across his neck.

Okay...

The teacher was discussing some bonds when the door flew open, I snapped my head to the door and my eyes widened when I saw the same damn barista from yesterday.

Shit! Now I have to spend the rest of my senior year with him?

"Mr Carter!" says the teacher facing him, "You're late, please go take your seat and listen."

He rolled his as eyes as he walked straight towards me, he sees me and scowls standing right next to my bag and before pushing it on the floor as he drops on the chair.

Ugh! Why me?

The door opens once again and in walked a tall guy. I look at him as the teacher scolds him for coming late. He had light brown hair, what seemed to be grey eyes, a carved jawline and he radiated a carefree aura.

He walks to me and raises an eyebrow when he sees me seated at what I guess is his seat, I shrug innocently.

"Aiden, where am I supposed to sit?" he asks Aiden who looks bored, hmmm so I guess Aiden was sitting in his place.

Aiden shrugs

I offer him a smile and say, "I can move if you want, I mean I am new and besides I didn't know that you were sitting here considering this is the first day of school."

The guy looks shocked as if I am not supposed to talk to him, "No wonder." He says, "But that's okay, you can sit here, I'll sit next to Isabella." he says shrugging and walks away.

The teacher turns to face as again and calls the class for its attention, "Oh I forgot class, we have two new students that weren't with us last year, Evelyn and Luke O'Connor, guys please introduce yourselves."

Everyone gasps as they hear our names and start whispering. I stand up and say, "My name is Evelyn," I look at the teacher, "Well I'm here from LA to live with my parents, I want to go to Italy for my studies, back at home I took a course but I couldn't complete cause I came here, and lastly I love swimming with passion."

I take a seat and Luke introduces himself too, "Hello everyone, My name is Luke, Evelyn and I are twins, but I'm obviously the hotter twin," he says winking, "I want to be a lawyer like my dad when I grow up and I love playing basketball." he says with a smile, "Oh and ladies I'm single."

I feel everyone's eyes on Luke and me, and I focus on my pen, I feel someone burning holes at the side of my head and turn to see Aiden staring at me as if he was staring into my soul. Our eyes meet and we both immediately look away. I feel something hit my head and turn to see a paper and a sheepish looking James, I playfully glare at him and take the paper and read;

You are doing great for your first day.

Why didn't you tell me that you were from the O'Connor family?

BTW its okay people will stare at you don't mind it...

I look back at James and shrug and turn to listen to the teacher.
