“Hello everyone! I’m Park Sunghoon and I’m going to be your newest host in this show!”

That’s what I heard from my television. I’m eating junk food when Jungwon sat beside me. “That’s his new show?” he asked me.

“Yeah,” I simply answered.

“Okay then,” he responds. “But wait, you know after Sunghoon confessed his feelings to you? You acted so stiff. What’s wrong with you?” he observed.

“I’m fine hahahah!” I laughed. “Don’t talk to me I’m watching,” I added and fixed my eyes again in front.

“But I’m still thankful that I can see you smile and laugh 10x on how you usual act. Sunghoon, did really changed you a lot,” he commented.

“He’s the one I’m looking for,” I stated.

“But you can’t still tell him how you really feel. Are you dumb?” he sarcastically asked me.

“Hahahaha!” I laughed and wrapped my arm around his neck. “I’m fine,” I stated.

“Okay!” he just agreed that made the two of us laugh.

We both don’t have our work today and I suggested for something, “Jungwon,” I called him.

“Oh why?” he asked.

“Should we have some barbeque party?” I suggested.

I saw his eyes widen and shine like he really loves that idea. “Damn! It’s been a while! We should surprise Ni-ki when he gets home!” he exclaimed.

“Let’s go! We can at least spend sometimes for this hahaha!” I laughed as we both prepared our things.

“Right hahahah! We’ve been really serious about work and money the past few days, we need to chill at least,” he added to what I said.

I put my jacket on and prepared some money. “We only really need few more moneys and we can now start a new life,” I stated.

“New life…” he mentioned and I looked at him.

“Why?” I asked him.

He looked at me and smile, “I wonder how it will be,” he answered and let out a soft chuckle.

“I’m looking forward,” I stated smiling also.

We head outside and took a bus. We are going to buy some ingredients that we are going to use for tonight.

“I remembered something,” I muttered.

“What is it?” Jungwon asked while he’s looking outside the bus’ window.

“Is it really possible to kill a friend?” I asked him.

That made him looks at me like I just say something so nonsense. “What the heck is that? I know friends betrays each other but yeah, actually it could still happen,” he answered. “Why did you even asked that?”

“Well, I just overheard something before,” I replied.

“Forget about those, I don’t want to turn my back to my friends. That’s going to be the shittest thing you’ll ever done,” he stated.

“I know. I didn’t say anything about our friendship. We’re more than that already,” I replied and smiled.

“Right,” he agreed and giggles.

We arrived at the mall and we started putting different vegetables and other foods in our cart. I’m the one pushing it and Jungwon is the one picking it.

“Hey, I heard a rumor that Park Jay and his girlfriend split up,” I heard from Jungwon.

“Huh?” I reacted in shock. “Why?”

“I don’t know. I’m not prying on him anymore,” he just stated casually and put a pack of soy sauce in the cart and walks again.

“Wait Jungwon,” I called him. “Aren’t you supposed to be happy or something?” I asked him in confusion.

“Why would I?” he asked in low energy and still busy checking something.

“Because he has no girl anymore?” I asked him unsurely.

He stopped walking that immediately made me stop from pushing the cart also so that I won’t hurt him.

“Why would I be happy in someone’s pain?” he rhetorically asked me.

I don’t know what I’m going to react or answer him. He sighs and started walking again while I’m just standing in there looking at him.

Yang Jungwon’s personality is fucking far from mine.

We spent around an hour inside the mall before we got home and prepared everything. We already cooked some of the side dishes with the help of online tutorials.

“It’s almost 6, he’s supposed to be here already,” I whispered while looking at my phone’s screenlock.

“Let’s just wait, he do some overtime sometimes,” Jungwon stated while putting the electric grill in the table.

I shrugged my shoulders when he said that because it’s true. “I hope Ni-ki’s really fine,” I stated.

“He is…” he paused and looked at me, “Ni-ki is strong, don’t worry about him. I’m worrying about us,” he replied.

“Us? Why?” I asked him and get some plates in the kitchen.

“We’re going to miss him so much if he’s in Japan already,” Jungwon answered me.

I sigh and put the plates on the table. “We can just call him from time to time. We’re really going to miss him but at least, he’s with his mom already,” I stated.

“You have the point,” he agreed. “Tho I’m really wondering why did she left Ni-ki in here? She just leaves him behind then she flew back to Japan,” he replied.

“I’ve been thinking about it too. What was really happening that time and she abandoned her kid, who just came here for the first time?” I also asked in wonder.

“It’s about my dad,” we heard a voice from our back.

As we look behind, we saw Ni-ki standing in there. “We left Japan because of my dad. She leaves here because she said, this is the only way she can keep me,” he added to what he said earlier.

Jungwon and I looked at each other with our same surprised and worried face. Then I put my gaze to Ni-ki and smiled, “Ni-ki, you’re home!” I greeted him.

“Yes hyung!” he answered me and laughs.

“Come here, we’re going to have samgyupsal,” Jungwon invited him to the table.

“Really!? Whoa!” he exclaimed and run towards us. “Whoa! It’s been a while since we have this!”

Jungwon and I chuckled to his expression. ”Yep! Should we grill now?” I asked while grinning.

“Let’s go!”

We all put the pieces of sliced meat in the pan and had the same reaction as we heard the popping sounds of oil and meat.

“It really sounds yummy already,” Jungwon commented.

“For real,” I agreed.

“I really want to eat it already,” Ni-ki commented that made us laugh.

“But Ni-ki, can you continue what were you saying earlier?” Jungwon asked him.

“Ahh,” Ni-ki nods. “My mom and my dad always fought at each other. My dad lost his work and my mom is just a housewife. They’re going to divorce that time and my dad wants me to be with him more than my two other siblings,” he storied.

“And then?”

“But my mom doesn’t want to. My mom knew that dad is going to use me to work for him and mom doesn’t want that,” he continued.

“If you lack financially that time, why did she still sent you here?” I asked curiously.

“I don’t know either. If mom won’t let me be with my dad, he’s going to kill my mom. But my mom would rather choose to die than give me to him. So, she spent her remaining money so she can send me here,” Ni-ki continued.

“Did you know that she’s going to leave you here?” Jungwon asked.

Ni-ki shook his head, “My mom said, my siblings are going to come here also. She’s said that she’s going to meet her at the airport that day but she didn’t come back to me anymore,” Ni-ki answered.

I flip the meat and sighs. “Then we meet you outside the internet café,” I added.

Ni-ki nods, “I don’t know why you decided to help me but I’m really grateful,” he said and smiled to me and Jungwon.

“Hey, this isn’t free. You should pay as back, you get it?” Jungwon taunted like he’s some of a thug.

Ni-ki bowed in front of us, “YES! I’m going to pay you and Sunoo hyung hundred folds back!” he yelled then we both laugh.

“Don’t worry about paying us back. Seeing you reunited with your mom again, will be the best reward for our hard works,” I stated and picked a piece of meat and put in on his rice. “Eat a lot Ni-ki.”

“Yes hyung! You two are really the best!” he exclaimed and we all laughed again.

We started eating together while talking to various topic when Ni-ki asked me about my work.

“Ahh! Sunoo hyung, about Park Sunhoon, how is it?” he asked me that made me stop from chewing.

“Right! Next month, we’re going to have a meeting for the year ends award. How’s Sunghoon?” Jungwon asked me too.

I put down my spoon and drink water first, “The thing is, Sunghoon and I is more than friends now but it still bothers me,” I stated.

“Why?” Ni-ki asked.

“I like him too but I haven’t told him yet,” I replied.

“Why? If you like him then you should confess it too,” Ni-ki said.

I smiled, “Should I?” I asked him.

“OH WAIT!” Jungwon halted me. “Are you sure? Are you really sure?”

“Jungwon, I just realize what you said before and I’m thinking about it thoroughly. I was really selfish because I’ve been thinking about work and money but when he cried in front of me that night, I felt like I don’t want him to hurt him anymore,” I stated.

“Sunoo hyung is in love,” Ni-ki stated too while smiling at me.

“Maybe I am?” I asked.

“WHOA! WAIT A DAMN MINUTE! This is driving me nuts!’ Jungwon exclaimed and he even stood up.

“Why are you acting like that?” I frown. “You’re the one who looks crazy in here,” I commented and Ni-ki laughs.

“No!” he shouted and sits down again. “You’re really going to confess now?” he asked.

I shrugged my shoulders, “I still don’t know,” I replied.

“Why hyung? You should do it already! Faster!” Ni-ki pushed me with his words.

“HAHAHAA! I really want to but maybe not now? I want see him perform in the year ends,” I replied while smiling.

“How about…” Ni-ki paused. “Work? I thought you’re not going to let him perform?” he continued.

“Work…” I mentioned. “I don’t care. I’m going to find good reasons so that Boss Jeon won’t really get mad at me,” I replied and smiled.

“Hey, are you really sure about this? You are not really going to regret doing this?” Jungwon asked me in worried.

“You’re the one who told me to confess it, right? So I’m doing it,” I replied.

“But Boss Jeon…” Jungwon paused.

Silence envelope the whole area. Boss Jeon said, if I’m going to hide scoops from him then I should better leave the company instead. He doesn’t want me to disappoint him. He doesn’t want me to have these shitty feelings to Sunghoon.

But what I’m going to do? It’s already in here.

“You made me choose before if love or job…” I paused for a while. “I think, it’s not that bad seeing him perform on the stage with his fans cheering him right?” I asked.

After hearing Sunghoon’s trainee stories, I realized that he’s only doing what he wants. He sacrificed skating so he can debut as an idol. HIVE protected rumors so he can debut. His fans are doing their best so he’ll win.

Everyone is doing everything for Sunghoon’s best and I want it too.

Sunghoon likes me and I know he’s expecting that I’m the one who’s in there going to support him a lot more than anyone. I want him to think like that.
