Y/n was reading a book inside his hideout, the book was about the inner workings of different firearms and how to disarm or disable them. He then got a call from his scroll which he answered without hesitation.

Y/n: "Hello?"

Ghira: "Y/n"

Y/n: "Oh Mr Belladonna, what can I do for you"

Ghira: "There is going to be an event somewhere on the outskirts of Vale, I need you to come with me"

Y/n: "What's in the outskirts of Vale?"

Ghira: "We need a representative for a certain meeting with another mafia and I wish for you to be the representative."

Y/n: "Even when I am new to your crew?"

Ghira: "Yes"

Y/n was curious about Ghira's request, he didn't wish to decline but he questioned why he had to represent his association. He decided to shrug it off and answered.

Y/n: "If you can pick me up at downtown Vale"

Ghira: "Understood, we will see you there"

Y/n then got out of the building and then went to downtown Vale, he wore his typical black jacket, glove and fedora. He then saw a black car drive towards him and the back window opened to reveal Weiss.

Weiss: "Let's go Y/n"

He nodded as he got in the car and the car drove off, in the car was Ruby, Yang and Blake.

Y/n: "Where's Raphtalia?"

Blake: "She's with Pyrrha how come?"

Y/n: "I'm just making sure, I've dealt with gangs and mafias alike back in Hong Kong and Foshan and in case if we start a gang fight I don't want her to be on the line of sight"

Yang scoffed.

Yang: "She's gotta learn to suck it up"

Ruby: "Yang!"

Yang: "What?"

Weiss pinches the bridge of her nose as she turned her attention to Y/n.

Weiss: "You must care for her dearly"

Y/n: "I promised myself I would give Raphtalia a better life and I'm also gonna keep her out of harms way, that's why I was hesitant to teach her how to fight..."

Blake: "Why's that?"

Y/n: "Because you never know who you're going to piss off..."

The car stopped in front of a vineyard, he got out of the car and looked at the manor that was also occupying the area.

Y/n: "A meeting huh?"

Y/n: "...I guess not"

Y/n was informed of the people of the opposite faction, the head boss of the other faction was Salem, her second in commands are Hazel Reinhart and Cinder Falls, her enforcers are Arthur Watts and Tyrian Callows and finally her scrappers are Mercury and Emerald. He watched as two opponents fought each other while two factions watched, the sound of sand was heard as the arena's sandy sandstone floor was manipulated with every step. Yang was fighting in the ring against Mercury who used his metal prosthetic legs as an advantage and beat Yang with devastating kicks. Yang got up with grey hair smirking.

Mercury: "Looks like I beat you again blonde bimbo"

Yang: "You only won because of your goddamn prosthetics Mercury"

She got out of the ring as she went in to get herself patched up, Salem then spoke.

Salem: "Who else wishes to fight?"

Y/n bored out of his mind so he decided to stepped up, the other faction were quite surprised that the newcomer decided to challenge Mercury even if his methods of fighting were considered "cheap".

Salem: "So the newcomer wants to play?"

Y/n stepped into the ring, he cracked his knuckles and popped his neck, Mercury smirked as he ran and tried to hit him with a roundhouse kick only for Y/n to get in a wider stance and block it with his forearm and surprisingly not feeling the pain after all the years of conditioning his body, this shocked Mercury and some others as Mercury backed up.

Mercury: "What the hell?"

Y/n got into a kickboxer stance as started to use an unorthodox footwork, Mercury tried to strike at him again with another kick only for it to be countered with a back sidekick to his chest. As Mercury stumbled Y/n hit him in the head with a tornado kick knocking him on the ground, Mercury got up and struck him in the chest only for his kick to be absorbed countered by a kick to his supporting leg causing him to fall. Y/n then went on top of him and started chain punching his face which Mercury started to block, he then kicked him in the chest which got him off of Mercury. When Y/n got up however he didn't show any pain, Mercury looked intrigued but sneered either way.

Mercury: "You hiding a chest plate under that shirt?"

Y/n took off his shirt showing no protection with his chest looking unscathed, Mercury was dumbfounded and so were the others.

Mercury: "How?!"

Y/n charged at him and swung his leg to his stomach causing him to drop onto the ground hunched

Y/n then finished him with a dropping spin kick to the head

Mercury passed out after, Y/n got up and saw the shock on the opposite faction.

Y/n: "How was that for a new comer"

He then got off the ring and put his shirt back on and got back to his seat next to Willow, she then looked at him with concern.

Willow: "Don't you think that you made a bad impression?"

Y/n: "I have to prove myself don't I?"

Salem: "How about we go inside"

Ghira: "I couldn't agree more"

The two factions went inside the manor, Willow, Raven and Ghira were talking with Salem over a glass of wine, Blake and Weiss talked to Arthur while Yang and Ruby played billiards with Mercury and Emerald. Y/n stayed outside with a can of ginger ale and he looked at the starry night sky, he took a small sip of his drink.

Y/n: "If you look pass all the chaos then the night sky truly shines..."

???: "Such beautiful words"

Y/n looked behind him to see Cinder as her Jet black hair settled on her shoulders, Y/n leaned against the supports of the balcony and looked at her.

Y/n: "Good evening Miss Fall"

Cinder: "Cinder is fine, may I join you?"

Y/n: "By all means"

She joined next to him as they looked out at the stars, Y/n sighed in comfort as she looked up.

Cinder: "How did you do it?"

Y/n: "What?"

Cinder: "You absorbed every blow Mercury gave to you with his metal prosthetics and didn't even leave a bruise on you, so answer me this: how did you do it?"

Y/n: "That's a secret I'll keep to myself"

Cinder: "Please?"

Y/n: "No"

Cinder: "Are you always this stubborn?"

Y/n: "Yes yes I can"

The two had a moment of silence until Cinder spoke up.

Cinder: "What made you join?"

Y/n: "Because I know that they aren't bad people, they were just treated the wrong way. I want to help them get into a better life...just like how I want my little sister to be in a better life"

Cinder: "You intrigue me Y/n Li, I hope I can work with you since both of our factions are allied"

Y/n finished his last sip of ginger ale.

Y/n: "I hope so too"

Then Ruby came out.

Ruby: "Ghira wants you inside Y/n"

Y/n: "Okay *looks at Cinder* I'll see you later"

He then walked inside and saw that Ghira, he sat next to Ghira as Salem and Ghira was in a discussion.

Salem: "So the heist was successful?"

Ghira: "Yes it was, however not the way we expected"

Salem: "What do you mean?"

Ghira then took out a laptop and showed her and the others the footage from the warehouse that Kato fought at, Y/n gulped silently as he watched the video.

Willow: "It seems like we have a vigilante in the streets of Vale"

Salem: "I see...and like us he has a grudge against Ironwood, what does he call himself?"

Ghira: "Kato"

Raven laughed a bit.

Raven: "That sidekick from the TV show Green Hornet?"

Ghira: "Well yes, we have no ties to him and he just seemed to have appeared out of nowhere..."

Salem: "We'll discuss about this later, now to another topic..."

Salem then turned her attention to you.

Salem: "Who are you and how did you beat Mercury"

Cinder: "Don't bother boss he won't-"

Y/n: "I am Y/n Li and I'm from Foshan China, my method of training however is a secret I'll keep"

Salem: "And why is that?"

Y/n: "A fighter never tells their secrets to winning a match"

Salem: "Good point...now what does Ghira see in you that makes you so valuable"

Willow: "Salem-"

Salem: "Not now Willow, I want him to say it himself"

Y/n thought about this, it was Willow who recruited him but he knows that Ghira let him in the guild because he beat Yang. Y/n looked at Salem.

Y/n: "I'm someone of many talents in combat as you saw an hour ago and that's probably one of the attributes on why Ghira let me in his guild, however I think it's my sense of honor...I have a certain outlook in the world that might be considered "Stereotypical" but sometimes something like that is needed in certain areas. I've been taught that honor comes before everything else, accepting mercy, money or anything of that is being weak and dishonorable. Die a survivor or live long enough to realize that you're weak, call me stupid but that's my ideology."

Salem rose an eyebrow while Y/n kept a straight face, Y/n always had a hardcore attitude and decided to keep it that way. Salem smirked as she looked at Ghira.

Salem: "Your kid has spunk, mind if I borrow him for any of my heists time to time?"

Ghira: "Maybe, promise me that you'll bring him back in one piece?"

Y/n: "So now I'm a person you can borrow for heists...wonderful"

Raven: "Yeah seems like it"

Willow: "Raven!"

Raven: "What?"

Y/n: "Oh boy"
