Song- p.s.
The shock on Harry's face when Draco walked into his throne room was absolutely priceless. Draco wished he could capture the moment.
"Draco," Harry whispered, and then he launched forward, hugging Draco tightly. "God, I've missed you."
"I've missed you too, love," Draco replied softly.
"Why are you here?" Harry pulled away, eyes searching Draco's.
"I can't keep doing this," Draco whispered. "Blaise and Pansy barely come out of their rooms anymore and Hermione has to hide and lord knows where Ron is. I never get to see you, and I miss you so much and this isn't fair."
"I know," Harry murmured back.
"What do we do?"
Harry thought about it. "I have an idea, but it's not a great one. It's not even a good one."
"Doesn't matter. Tell me."
***************************
If Draco's life had been chaotic before, it was nothing compared to the stress of now. He was constantly rushing around, making sure things were up to par, and visiting Harry as often as he could to make sure his plans were going smoothly.
He had gone to town two days prior, and told Ron to find Hermione for him. Now Ron had finally returned with the girl, and their group of five (Harry couldn't come, he was far too busy) stood in Draco's own golden throne room.
"What is this about?" Blaise asked tiredly.
"I can't stay here," Draco blurted out. "It's too gold and too much stress and this isn't where I'm meant to be."
Ron rose one eyebrow. "What does that have to do with us?"
"Harry and I have come up with a sort of plan. Combined, we have three kingdoms to rule. We've been working to raise the defenses on each of the castles. There's six of us. Do you have an idea of where I'm going here?"
"You're going to coronate us," Pansy whispered with realization.
Three pairs of eyes stared at her in shock, and one with acknowledgment.
"I understand if it's too much," Draco said. "We can go back to the way it was, and-"
"No!" Blaise cried. "God, no. Anything but that."
The others nodded.
"It's going to take a while to change a few laws to allow your coronation, but some laws can't be changed. For example, a pair must rule a kingdom. Technically, since my mother is still alive, she and I rule Durmstrang. Harry must either marry someone royal, or he will be removed from his throne in a month's time."
"I'm okay with that," Pansy said, her eyes flicking to Hermione. Hermione smiled brightly, if a little nervous.
"I barely know you," Ron murmured to Blaise. Blaise sighed.
"Some marriages are strictly business, Weasley."
Ron stared at Blaise for a long time, long enough to make Blaise blush a bit and stare at the ground.
"Alright," Ron said quietly. "I'm in."
"Because of the intense sacrifices on your sides, you may choose whichever kingdoms you want. Harry has agreed, and we will take the last one."
"I can't stay here," Blaise said. "I hate Durmstrang, and Durmstrang hates me."
"Gryffindor kingdom?" Ron suggested. Blaise gave him a slight smile and a nod.
"Well, I for one, want to stay home," Hermione said. "Pansy, is that alright?"
Pansy considered this. "I don't like the idea of ruling a completely unfamiliar kingdom. I agree."
"Then I will join Harry at Slytherin kingdom," Draco said softly. "The coronation will have to be attended by and agreed to by the rulers of every kingdom in the country."
"But the rulers of the other kingdoms have no idea about this!" Pansy exclaimed. "How are they to agree?"
Draco sighed, rubbing his temples. He had a headache. "Harry and I will have to make time and visit them in an attempt to persuade them-"
"No. Absolutely not," Blaise cut in. "You two have kingdoms to manage. You're busy enough as it is. We'll go."
"We will?" Pansy asked. Hermione elbowed her.
"We will," Ron echoed. "We'll take Ravenclaw. Hermione, you and Pansy can go to Hufflepuff. Beauxbatons should be easier. We can go together to that one."
Nods of agreement met them, and the group split up.
