Before I start I'd like to tell you this.

I started writing another Sander Sides fan fiction called Sander Sides School Life and it's actually a high school AU. I'd really appreciate it if you check it out. 

Without further ado let's begin.

Roman's P.O.V

Me and Virgil were walking around trying to find the rest of the other Sides. I was feeling much better, his presence -the idea he was okay- made me feel so much better. His hand was warm and I didn't want to let go.

"Virgil..."

"Huh?"

"Why did you say that they're cheaters?" I asked

"They used shadows when they supposed to be alone."

"And? You are controlling shadows every day." I said

"Roman, these shadows are very dangerous. One wrong move, a small distraction, can lead to horrible damage."

"Like your hand?"

"Yeah... That's nothing. Panic's damage was worse. His 'problem' is still visible" He answered

It took me a while to understand what he meant, but eventually I did

"Oh... That's horrible!"

"Took you some time huh? Anyways, yes it is. I don't want to see what else they can do."

We continued walking.

Logan's P.O.V

"Are you scared?"

I felt that I couldn't breath, I hopelessly tried to push, whatever was on me, away.

What was the rules of the game? We should not be scared?

I tried to remember and do the most rational thing I could think of; I took a deep breath to calm myself down and tried to think of one thing that would make me 'feel' more....relaxed.

What can you be? Of course...

I concentrated on one though; Patton liked me for so long... And I liked him too.

A small smile appeared on my face. Huh.... What a weird feeling; love.

"No. I am not!" I said sincerely and whatever was on me disappeared. I stood up  and stared at where Patton was supposed to be.

Patton's P.O.V

"Logan are y-" someone -something- closed my mouth and pushed me to the ground. I tried to escape but whoever was on me but he was too strong. He let go of my mouth

"Stop Panic! Or... Deceit. I'm not sure. Who are you?" I looked at the person on me... Or the thing one me.

A shadow?!

I started breathing heavily.

"Get away from me! No!" I yelled while trying to escape and tears filled my eyes.

"Are... You... Scared?" It said with a deep voice. I couldn't answer because... Because I was.

"Y-yes..." I said without voice and as it was getting ready to hit me, my vision got dark

Virgil's P.O.V

"Princey! If you don't move quicker we may not make it on time and--"

"No! Shut up! I know what you are going to say, don't you dare! Just zip it Anxiety!" Roman said with a serious voice while looking straight into my eyes.

"I don't want to think about it either." I muttered

"We can do it! Right? At the end the good guys always win!"

"We are not a Disney movie princey." I said without facing him and we continued walking. "Just--what is that?!" I pointed at a dark figure a little further from us

"Behind me, NOW!" he took his sword and we moved slowly the figure

"Who's there? Stay back okay? I'm not afraid of you!" The figure yelled

"Wait... Logan?" I said and walked close to him

"Virgil! W-Where are you?"
Suddenly the lights went on.

"Logan!" Roman shouted and put his sword back to it's place.

"Where did he go?" Logan asked

"Who?"

"Patton! He was right there!" He pointed somewhere behind him

"Move, we have to find him now... NOW!" I said and start looking around. Suddenly the lights went off again

"Not again." Logan said

"Shh...we are close. There!" I pointed at something a little away from us.

"Run!" We ran closer. The shadow was ready to attack to Patton

"The shadow!" Roman said "We. Are. Not. Scared!" He said but the shadow instead of disappearing, grew bigger. It came closer to us and with a quick move, it hit Logan's shoulder.

"Ah!" he collapsed to the ground

"Logan?"

"I-I'm okay." He said

"Virgil! Watch your head!" Roman yelled and I ducked

"Thanks princey."

So this is what Panic meant some years ago. If you are not fast enough they going to hurt you. That means that I was the unconscious person back then? At least Patton is safe.

"Roman watch out!" Logan yelled

"Where did that came from?!" He asked while trying to avoid a new shadow

"There are more!"

"What are we going to do? What are we going to do?" Roman said while avoiding one more

"Virgil!"

I tried to avoid one to but it hit my back.

"I have an idea." I said and grabbed Roman's hand.

"What?"

"Hold each other! Logan give me your hand and hold Patton's hand, too. Roman do the same."

"Will that work?" Roman asked while taking Patton's hand

"I-I...I hope..." I sighed "As long as I'm with you... I... I'm not scared!"

"I may pretend that I'm super brave and stuff... But I am scared sometimes. You help me get over it... I'm not scared!" Roman said

"I'm not good at touching things.... But.... When I'm with you I feel -listen to me feel haha- calm and relaxed. I'm not scared."

I closed my eyes and felt my body being dragged down. I opened my eyes; We was still at the back of Thomas's mind but there was light.

"We...we escaped." I said

"Yeah... YEAH!" Roman yelled and hugged me but let go almost instantly "I..." He cleared his throat "Excuse me."

Patton slowly woke up "What... What happened?"

"It's okay. We are safe now." Logan held his hand.

"Well, well, well! How heartwarming! You escaped his the power of... Love. Yikes!" Panic and Deceit suddenly appeared.

"We had a deal! Why did you use shadows?" I stepped closer to them

"Oh dear Virgil. We never said that we wouldn't." Panic smirked

"Whatever we won!" Roman said "Give Thomas back."

"You are right." Deceit finally spoke "You won."

"Wha-DECEIT NO! You can't just let them win!"

"Calm down Panic." Deceit said and gave him a meaningful look. Then he turned back to us "You won. But Thomas won't remember that he saw us and you won't be able to say any of these to him as long as I have your mouths shut."

"Yes we know that." Logan said "I still believe that.. Knowledge--"

"Save it for later Logan." Deceit said with a calm voice "We'll meet again." He laughed and with that he and panic disappeared.

"What does that mean?" Patton asked

"I don't know but we have to get out of here." Virgil said

"I agree." Logan stated "Thomas will wake up soon."

"Sure let's go. Should we worry about Deceit and Panic?" Roman asked

"I don't know for sure..."
