Before I start I'd like to give a shout out to Seasquid10 because they're really kind and a great friend.

3rd Person P.O.V

"Are YOU scared?" Panic said and the room flickered.

"Pff... I mean how scary can it be? It's a game after all!" Roman said and looked at the others. Patton looked terrified but he smiled weakly. Logan didn't show any emotion, he just nodded. But Virgil... Virgil looked really anxious. When he met Roman's eyes, he didn't smile. He just whispered with a cracky voice and tears on his eyes

"It's not a game."

*flashback*

Three little kids;
An aggressive one, always dressed in black and a golden cape, running around and causing chaos.

A more mature one always wearing a black cape, with yellow details,  and yellow gloves. He had one flaw... He was always lying.

And last... A silent one,  dressed with a black hoodie with his hair constantly in his eyes, always sitting at the darkest corner.

Panic, Deceit and Anxiety.
Also known as the Dark Sides. They were the outcasts in there...Little Thomas didn't even know about them.
At least they were a team,  a family.

"I'm bored...!" Panic said and sat next to Deceit. "Deceit? Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit Deceit DECEIT!" he started poking him

"Stop Panic!" he said angrily

"Deceit... Why is your half face skin like a snake?"

"Panic! What the heck?! You can't just walk around and ask why people have a snake's face!" Anxiety joked and sat next to them. Panic laughed. Deceit tried not but he smiled.

"Anyways... I'm also bored" Deceit said "What should we do?"

"Let's play a game!" Panic said and jumped from the couch.

"Like what?" Anxiety asked

"Are you SCARED?!" Panic said and Anxiety curled in a ball

"I.....I'm....always sca... Scared... Stop it!"

"No! It's a game!" Panic explained the game to them

"Of course... It sounds great!" Deceit said

"Is... Is this a lie?" Panic asked

"Not at all!" Deceit said again

"Totally a lie." Anxiety stated

"Yeah...but on second thought..." Deceit stood up "We could make it a little more... Interesting!"

"No please!" Anxiety said

"Come one Anx. You'll be fine." Panic and Deceit said together and grabbed Anxiety's arms.

*end of the flashback*

Virgil shook his head in order to forget what he just remembered.

"Rules are simple..." Panic said "You close your eyes and wait for the monster. Me and Deceit will be the monsters!"

Virgil closed his eyes. He could hear his own heartbeat getting faster and faster
"Please no... Stay calm Virge... Please stay calm." He thought

*flashback*

"Alright! Anxiety, Deceit, since we aren't too many,  we'll use this..." At that time a shadow appeared "To be the monster."

"A shadow? How?" Anxiety asked,  not very sure if he wanted to take an answer.

"You'll see! Let's begin!" The lights turned off and they couldn't see anything. Anxiety could feel something moving around them, giving him the creeps

"Are... You..." A whisper... Silence... Anxiety tried to feel the shadow "Are... You..." It was coming closer. "Are... You..." The voice was coming from everywhere but nowhere...he couldn't understand. Silence again.
"... SCARED?" the shadow yelled and then a scream followed that 'broke' Anxiety's head.
"Who screamed? Are you okay?" he asked... Silence
One minute passed,  two...

"Panic? Deceit? HELP!  WHAT'S WRONG?" he panicked. He couldn't see anything. More screams... Something cold moving around. He screamed.

A hand grabbed him "No!" he yelled again and tried to hit the owner of the hand

"Anx! Anx it's me." a voice said. He opened his eyes and finally met light.

"P...Panic? Wha...What happened?" he asked

"You..passed out." He answered. Anxiety looked at him closely

"Panic!" he yelled "What happened to your eye?!" He pointed at Panic's eye that was red and bleeding. "Did the shadow do that to you?"

"It's nothing...It was part the game... I lost my concentration for a while and I got hit. I'm fine."

"But It's bleeding!  Can you see?" Anxiety asked.

Panic shook his head "No, I can't."

Anxiety looked at his hands. There was scratches and scars.

"Let's not...play...ever again. It's dangerous

*end of flashback*

Virgil looked around terrified.
"There should be another way..." he whispered under his breath
