Chapter 8: Shopping

That's when Natsu suddenly changed his expression to embarrassment to coldness. "I'll see you tomorrow. Again, don't go on alley ways ever." And with that he stood up and left with a silent 'good night' leaving me dumbfound in the room. I watched him leave, I was worried...

Worried about how Natsu is still ignoring the fact I said those words when it actually hurts both me and Natsu. He looked stressed, yesterday he had difficulties with a rogue in his territory and today with me with a rogue tackling me to the ground.

I wonder how I'm suppose to help him?

I slept for the whole night, the comforter was so soft and the pillows were so big and fluffy. Being in the Dragneel's house was very cozy, it's like I've been here before...but why?

I woke up early in the morning and did my daily routine as I went down after that I saw Natsu already up. "Morning," I greeted  as I went downstairs but he only replied with a hum. "Natsu, is it okay you can drive me home? I need to change my clothes," I asked, remembering I was only wearing Grandine's clothes which surprisingly fits. "You can wear my clothes," he responded with a shrug. A pink tinge was plastered on my whole face, "I-I'm going o-out with my friends," I explained, remembering Erza texted me yesterday about the mall. Again, he only shrugged and went upstairs.

Natsu held a large gray sweets hurt and threw it at me, I caught it. "Wear it," he ordered, I hesitated but I agreed and wore the sweatshirt. The sweatshirt was literally up to my knees, suddenly I had an idea. "D-Do you have a rubber band?" I asked and he made a slight shrug and walked to the kitchen as I followed him. "Here," Natsu gave me a red rubber band and took it. I grabbed a fist full of the fabric and at the side to tie up. Now the sweatshirt was up to my hips instead of my knees, now I'm only wearing my school uniform skirt...at least it's not dirty. "Can you tell your mom that I'll be going out? I'll be back to get my backpack though," I mentioned as he nodded his head in response.

I was about to open the door when I forgot something. I ran up to Natsu with cereal stuffed in his mouth. He looked at me in curiosity, "Did you forget anything?" He muffled and I nodded my head. I leaned in and gently kissed his cheek as I felt his body stiffen, "See you!" I cheered as I smiled at him and went out.

I was standing in front of the Dragneel's house as I just stood there not doing anything. Why...why did I just do that? Look I know he is my mate and I can do that but...Natsu and I are not in good terms since that day. Then why?! My whole face was pink including my neck and ears, suddenly I heard a honk.

"Get in, Luna!" I heard Erza shout, I saw her and the other in the car. I ran towards them, "You know, you don't need to call me Luna. Just my name...'kay?" I said as they all agreed. I went in. Juvia looked at me worriedly, "Are you okay, Lucy? You looked flushed."She asked as I immediately nodded and nervously smiled at her.

A few minutes past we were still in the car talking, "Bro, have you seen the cute couple in Fiore?" Erza asked but her eyes was straight ahead since she was driving the car. I looked at her confused, "Who's the new couple?" Levy giggled and I saw her searching something up. She lift up her phone and showed me a couple, "Jimin and Jungkook, cute right? Hashtag JiKook... a ship name for them!" Levy squealed in delight as Juvia was smiling like an idiot just looking at the picture. My eyes squinted my to look at it better...you know, they do look cute!

"Same, they're cute. I bet they're going to have adorable kids," I laughed lightly. "By the way, Lucy. Why are you wearing a sweatshirt, I think its too big for you," Levy giggled as I sighed as I remembered Natsu telling me to wear it, "It's Natsu's, he made me wear it," I exclaimed with a pink tinge plastered on my cheeks. They all raised a brow at me in curiosity, "Why though?" Juvia asked. I bit my lip and shrugged, "I slept over at his house and I asked him to take me home to change until you guys came and all of a sudden he made me wear his sweatshirt," I explained with enthusiasm.

"Well that's peculiar," Juvia replied as she stroked her chin in confusion.

"It is," I agreed with a giggle.

"We're here!" Erza cheered as she parked her car near the mall. This mall looks oddly familiar, oh well. First off we went to a clothing shop like 'Forever 21' their clothes were really something. Practically, Forever 21 is my favourite clothing store, their clothes are so cute. But the thing is everyone is strangely looking at me, it's like they've seen a ghost or something. I even tried to say hi to a woman in the counter and her hands was trembling when she was typing.

I was walking with my friends and asked them, "Hey Erza, I feel like everyone is scared of me today," I held onto the shopping bag tightly around my hand. She looked at me blankly, "You're wearing Natsu sweatshirt, right?"

"Yeah?"

"Make sense." She answered

"What do you mean? I don't get it."

"Well since you wore the Alpha's sweatshirt and his scent is telling the others to 'stay-away-from-my-mate' kind of thing," Erza explained as she chuckled when I mentally groaned to myself because of his overprotective attitude around me. "C'mon it's cute!" Erza said as she nudged me on the shoulder playfully.

"Yeah, yeah! How about you Erza? Did you find your mate, yet?"

"No, and I don't want to."

My eyes widened as I looked at her, "What?! Why?!" She only shrugged her shoulders, "Cause I don't. Plus, I'm okay being single and not having a mate. If I found him, I he would be with someone else." She explained with a poker face.

"Don't be like that, Erza! You'll find your mate." I said cheerfully with a smile. "I hope so..." Erza muttered.

Few hours past and it was already 5:30 and we're already in the car, driving home. I went to the Dragneel's house and said my goodbyes, but when I went in I only saw Wendy, Igneel, and Grandine...where is Natsu? "Mom, I'm home!!" I shouted as she was cooking in the kitchen.

"Had fun, sweetheart?"

"Uh-huh!"

Suddenly I felt my phone ringing. I quickly took it out and didn't bother to look at the ID caller. "Hello?"

"Heyyy, babe~!" That voice was so familiar but it was raspy.

"Natsu?"
