ELLA POV (she's writing in her journal)

It's been a few days since Alexander went missing. Poor Angie has been freaking out over that and Mary. Mary's doing fine though, her doctors say if she keeps doing all the stuff she's supposed to her treatment will be over in no time. Me and Philip have been working nonstop trying to fine clues about Alexander. It's really stressful. For some reason John hasn't been answering my texts. Mary has been hanging out with Angie a lot to calm her down. Philip is copping by, working nonstop. God, he's just like his dad. I've just been a giant ball of stress with no outlet other than writing. Which, for once in my life, isn't helping. I'm getting back to work now.

I close my notebook and sigh.

"Hey Ellie" Mary says sitting on my bed.

"Hey" I turn my desk chair around to face her.

"Me and Angie are going to the park, do you wanna come?"

"Mary..." I sighed. I wanna go but I have so much to do.

"Look Ella I know you're going through a lot right now, and are under a lot of stress. I know it's hard when one of your best friends is across the world and the other is ignoring you. I know you're struggling with me having what killed mom. I know you're stressing yourself out with Alexander going missing plus school. I know you're busy, but you need to take a break." Mary looked at me and smiled.

"Alright" I smiled back at her.

"Get changed and let's go!" She laughed running out of my room.

I tossed on an orange sweatshirt and leggings, it's getting cold out now so I just let my curls be wild with a little brushing.

PHILIP POV

Angie walked in and sat on my bed while I worked.

"Pip, me and Mary are going to the park, you should come. You really need a break." Angie said.

"Ok" I really didn't feel like arguing and a walk in the park sounded nice.

"Wow. That was easier than I expected."

I playfully rolled my eyes and changed.

We got to the park and I said, "You and Mary can go do whatever, I'm gonna go for a walk."

"Ok, we're gonna meet at the coffee shop after, I'll text you ok" Angie said while walking off.

"Ok"

ELLA POV (oml why do I do this)

I talked with the girls for a bit then told them I was going on a walk to clear my mind.

I was lost in thought and not really looking where I was going, you know now that ended. Yep. Ran into someone, fell, they caught me, it was Philip, that's the entire chapter and it's already happened 3 times because the author is dumb as fk. (So I wrote this at 3 in the morning but it's funny so I'm leaving it)

I ran into someone and fell.

"I'm sorry I-" the person started then stopped. "Oh it's you"

"Philip?"

He held his hand out for me to take. I took it for once.

"Look about the-" I stopped him.

"Philip how about we have a deal for today?" I asked as he cocked an eyebrow.

I continued, "No talk about, Your dad, Mary's issues, my mom, school, pretty much everything that can cause panic attacks for either of us. Oh and John and Theo"

"Why John and Theo? What happened, are they ok?" Philip asked.

"Ok, quick talk about them."

Philip laughed a little.

"Well there's nothing wrong with Theo. It's just her dad kinda didn't know but he planned that trip at the worst time possible. And John's ignoring me for some reason." I sighed.

"Wow." He glanced at the ground then looked back at me. "I think that's a good idea."

We sat on a bench and talked about random stuff for a while.

"You know if it wasn't so cold out I would totally go swimming right now" Philip said giggling.

I laughed. "Too bad you don't know someone with a heated pool room in their house"

"What if I did?" He looked at me and smirked.

"I don't know" I laughed and shrugged.

He continued to smirk and narrow his eyes. "Do I?"

"You know a lot of people Philip"

We both started laughing for some reason. Our phones buzzed.

"I guess we're heading to the café?" I asked.

"So we are" Philip chuckled.

We found our sisters in the café and sat down with them. We ordered drinks and talked for a bit.

"So we were talking about going to the heated pool room-" Mary started.

"So I do" Philip looked at me as he cut off my sister.

I laughed and nodded.

"Wow what happened at the park" Angie laughed.

"We were actually just talking about that Mary" I said. "We could all go once we're done"

The girls high fived and I giggled.

~TIME SKIP BECAUSE IM SO LAZY~

I wrapped myself in my hooded towel to wait for everyone else.

(Ella's bathing suit⬆️⬆️)

Mary comes downstairs and the doorbell rings. Dad's at work so we don't have to worry about there being Hamiltons in the house. We all go to the pool room to actually get ready.

I finished setting up my stuff for after and Philip was pulling off his sweatshirt to reveal his bare chest. I wanted to look away but damn does that boy have abs.

I pulled my head away before anyone noticed and stood by the pool. Angelica and Mary were already in the pool.

"You just gonna stand there?" Philip asked coming beside me.

"Maybe" I laughed.

"Go in!" He teased.

"You first" I teased back, two can play this game.

"No you" he smirked.

I smirked. "No you" and I shoved him in. He grabbed my arm and pulled me in with him.

I playfully screamed then gasped for air.

"PHILIP!" I yelled and splashed him.

He laughed and splashed me back. This caused a full war between the two of us.

After a while I tackled Philip, making us both fall underwater. We came to the surface, gasping for air.

"You deserved that Freckle-Face" I snickered at him.

"You were the one that pushed me in, Shorty" Philip snarled.

"I'm not that short!" I yelled.

"Really? You're standing on the tips of your toes and your head is barely above water" He snickered.

I crossed my arms and pouted. I went flat on my feet making my mouth go underwater.

Philip laughed. "See?"

"Maybe you're just tall!" I said going back on my tippy toes.

"Or you're just short"

I crossed my arms again and turned away from him, my wet hair sticking to my back.

He put his head close to my ear and whispered "Ellie the Tiny Jefferson~"

I shuttered at his voice. His warm breath down my neck and his face close to mine.

I turned around and put a finger on his chest. I stood as tall as possible, looking into his hazel eyes. I smirked and said "Philly my Princess~"

His freckled face turned red and he turned away.

"I win" I laughed.

"Fine." Philip grumbled turning back to face me again.

"Aww Pip's blushinggggggg!" Angie teased while her and Mary came up to me and Philip.

"Shut up Angie!" Philip yelled.

"You didn't deny it!" Mary said pointing at Philip and grinning.

"W-What?! I- Well-" Philip stuttered making me laugh.

"PHELLA!!!!" Angie screamed making a blush creep onto my cheeks that I didn't like. She quickly started swimming away.

"ANGELICA HAMILTON GET BACK HERE!" I yelled going after her.

I caught up to her and held her in place.

"Take it back!" I yelled, still holding her.

"Never" Angie giggled.

Philip and Mary came over to where we were.

"Put her down" Philip sighed.

I put Angie down and she laughed. "Thanks Pip! Or should I say Phella?"

"ANGIE!" Philip reached for his sister but I moved in front of her.

"Philip no killing your sister in my pool" I said.

"Fine." Philip huffed.

"You guys could hold really cool parties in this house" Angie, her eyes wondering everywhere.

"The only parties that have ever been hosted here are parties for our dad's work" Mary grumbled.

"Why? That seems boring" Philip asked.

"Our dad is overprotective and doesn't let us hang out with most people, so we use time like this when he's not here to have a few friends over. And unlike you, Mar, and Theo, I hate people." I replied.

Angie and Mary whispered something for a second then Angie said, "Pip, you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Hamilton hosted party to show them how it's done? Hell yeah" Philip smirked.

"OH HELL NO!" I screamed. "Absolutely not, our dad would kill us if he found out and the only one of our maids and butlers who isn't a tattletale is Lottie. Plus like I mentioned before, I hate people and like quiet."

"You're no fun." Philip pouted nudging me in the side.

"Speaking of Lottie, we should see if she wants to join us!" Mary suggested, grinning.

"Alright" I laughed.

We walked out and saw Charlotte walking down the hall.

"LOTTIE!" Mary yelled.

She turned around and walked towards us.

"Hello girls, do you need something?" Lottie smiled.

"Actually, we were wondering if you wanted to join us?" I asked smiling.

Her face lit up. "I'll be right back!"

I sat on the edge of the pool with my feet in the water waiting for Lottie. I laughed as I watched everyone else play in the water. I saw Lottie and carefully ran up to her. I hugged her and pulled her over to the pool.

Everyone was playing and I stayed sitting on the side, watching. Philip came over and sat beside me.

"Are you gonna get in the pool Jefferson?"

"Nah, I wasn't the one who wanted to get in, I just like sitting here with my feet in the water."

He shrugged. We sat there quietly for a while. That was until I felt Philip's hand on my back.

"What are you-" I was shoved into the water.

I came to the surface and pulled Philip in.

I started laughing.

"What's so funny?" Philip asked.

"Can I do something?"

"What?"

"With your hair"

Philip sighed. "Fine, but nothing weird"

I pulled myself out if the pool and grabbed a hair tie. I pulled his wet hair into a high ponytail. I hopped back into the pool and faced Philip. I busted out laughing.

"What?! I said nothing weird!" Philip yelled touching his hair.

"I didn't do anything weird, you just look like a girl." I snickered.

I heard laughing from behind us and figured the girls were coming over to the side of the pool.

"Oh my gosh Philip" Angie laughed.

Philip pulled the hair tie out of his hair.

"Aw come on Philly" I pouted.

"Don't call me that"

I stood there in silence then said "Imma get snacks, brb"

PHILIP POV

"Do you like her?" Mary asked me and I felt a small blush creep on my face.

"Me? Like her? HA! She's my enemy!" I chuckled.

"Then why did you carry her from the edge of town to her house?" Charlotte asked.

"I'm not a douche. I was raised not to leave people dead on the side of the road"

"But you could've called someone else to do it. Or called a taxi. But you carried her because it would be faster, right?" Mary said.

"Yeah..."

"Well you cared enough to make sure she got here faster." Charlotte added.

"Well she agreed to help me so I needed her alive, yeah that's it." I said defending my side. And maybe trying to convince myself.

"Ok then why did you immediately think about Ella when I said Mary passed out in class? Why would you care if Ella was effected?" Angie asked.

"Well..." I couldn't think of anything. But the girls clearly weren't done.

"Why did you go straight to Ella when your dad went missing? Why not one of your close friends?" Mary added into the questions.

"Because she's head of the grade" I quickly said proving I don't like Ella. ('Proving', yeah sure Pip)

"Why did you comfort her when someone made fun of her mom being dead? To the point of cuddling with her until you two fell asleep?" Charlotte asked making me freeze.

"How did you find out about that?" I said through my teeth.

"Theo tells me everything that Ella won't tell me. And you can't deny it because I have a picture" Charlotte said.

"Does everyone know?" I asked.

"No, just me. And I think John."

"Good."

"So you like her?" Angie said.

"NO!" I screamed.
