♡Thanksgiving Special♡
The house was filled with the intoxicating aroma of the freshly cooked food. The sound of knifes hitting the cutting boards and the sound of people rejoicing together flooded the house giving it a cozy and uplifting vibe. Hop's mom was in the kitchen along with his granparents, aunts, uncles, those who could actually cook. Hop's younger relatives were all out in the cold fall's air. With the amount of running they were doing, however, kept their blood pumping. In fact, the kids were not from running so much. They'd try to take their fuzzy, and overly big jackets off only to earn the scolds from their relatives. With the booming, yet enjoyable, voices of Hop's relatives, it was hard to hear the Knicks on the door. Luckily, Leon happened to walk by as the girl awaited outside. He opened the door, revealing a smiling champion and her mom. Her mom's hands were placed firmly on her shoulders. "Oh, do come in Mrs. Lore, Kristen, Hop's in his room." Kristen had a white fur coat over her white long-neck
Halter dress. The bottom of it had white flowers adorning it. It was about knee-low, and the shoes to top it all off, average white high tops. Kristen thanked him as she slipped past the hoard of family members. The sound of them downstairs, chattering was muffled by the floorboards.
She peeked into the room, seeing Hop laying on his bed with his phone lifted up in the air. He glanced at her, before smiling, "People usually knock." He at up, dropping his phone face down on the messy, wrinkled sheets. The bed sheets were hung over the edge, and clothes was scattered all over the floor. "For all you know, I could have been changing."
Krissy stepped into the room with a pep in her step and she wriggled her eyebrows playfully, "Would it really have been bad if I did see you change?" She jumped onto the already messy bed, rearranging the sheets even more.
Hop laughed lightly with his friend. "Maybe not."
"Why didn't you clean this mess up?" Kristen spat out as she kicked a dirty sock away with her foot. Hop shrugged.
"Maybe it's because I didn't expect anyone to come up to my room?"
Kristen gave the tanned boy an eye roll before standing back up, only to be pulled back down by her hand. She collapsed onto the bed with a giggle. Kristen pushed Hop off the bed easily, but only because he wanted to humor her. "Clean your meds up Hoppy."
"Why should I listen to you?" He teased, pulling himself off the floor.
"Be a goodbye and clean up." Kristen ordered the boy, as she for up to leave, luckily not being stopped by him this time.instead Hop followed her out, locking the door to his room and closing it. "Hop–"
"Oh shoosh, no one's going to try and unlock my room." Hop put an arm around her shoulder walking down the stairs. "Also," Hop casted a glance at her feet, taking notice of how she was so formally dressed, but her shoes really took the elegance away, "why are you playing high tops?"
"Is it a problem?"
"No, I like it." He grinned, stopping at the end of the steps where his family members starting 'oohing'. "Guyys. . ." He laughed out of embarrassment. The walked by, stepping out into the cold where no one was anymore. "Sorry about them."
Kristen shrugged, "It's okay."
"So, what do you want to do?" Hop asked with a crooked smile on his face.
"Honestly, I want to go back inside because it's really cold, and look at memes with you."
Hop put a hand on his chest, feeling like the luckiest person on earth, "Really? Look at memes? With me?" Kristen nodded, before her teeth began chattering due to the coldness that was engulfing her. They re-entered the house where relatives began mimicking kissing noises. "You guys are all immature." He tried sounding pissed, but failed. They sat on the lonely leather couch, sinking into it as soon as they say down. Kristen, despite still being cold, took off her dress, attempting to show off her angelic white dress, and succeeded. "I like your dress. . You look pretty."
"Thanks, Hop." Hop took his phone out, scrolling through memes he had on Pokesnap. Kristen rested her head on his shoulder as she laughed while looking at the various memes. Suddenly a gasp left her lips as she saw what she thought was a male genital.
Hop smirked, "Calm down. It's a potato." Krissy examined the picture on his phone again, crossing her arms.
"You probably thought it was one too!"
Their evening was spent looking at memes other stories related to dogs, or looks, or crazy things people would do just because they liked the look so much, even scary stories told by some woman.
It wasn't too long before the feast began, Hop sitting next to Kristen, Kristen next to Hop. They passed the good around family style, no reaching over the table. Anyone who broke the rule of that night would have to have a earn a mouthful from someone. Hop's mom was very strict when it came to things like this. She didn't let anyone out their elbows on the table, 'please' and 'thankful' was always required. Things not so many people were strict about.
"Oh hold on everyone!" Hop's mom swung her about in the air. "Before we eat, why don't we do around the table and say something we're thankful for?"
Everyone nodded, and they all quieted down. "I'll go first. I am so thankful for this family, my two blessed children," she eyed her two boys, Leon, and Hop, "and I'm thankful, to be lucky enough to have such a great life." She looked at the person next to her, Hop's uncle, Joseph. The list of what people were greatful for went on, and eventually it got to Kristen. Kristen looked around the table surprised.
"Oh. . . Uh, well, I'm thankful for my family, thankful for Hop," she looked at the beaming Hop, "and Leon," now looking at Leon who had the same reaction Hop did, "and very thankful to have been able to go on my journey with my best friend." Everyone nodded and began eating(no I will not say what Hop was thankful for or anyone else uwu).

The feast had ended, but the cheers and joyful chatting did not. The semi-party continued on even after the feast. The same excitement and laughter from when it first came stayed put, however it was time for Kristen and her mother to leave. They had only come because this year her mom decided not to do it.The burden of cooking fell in someone else from the family this year. Kristen told her mom she wanted to say a goodnight to Hop. She nodded, heading up to the house not too far from Hop's. Hop and Kristen stood face-to-face, giggling and tittering like small little school girls. Hop pulled something out of his pocket, and pretended to be surprised as he hung it over their heads with one hand. "Would you look at that? Is that mistletoe?" Kristen chuckled, punching her friend's arm.
"I think you have your holidays mixed up."
Hop smiled at her, "Worth a shot."
Kristen gave into him, putting her hands on his cold cheeks, and pulling him forward, into a kiss that instantly caused heat to rise to his face. It lasted for only a few seconds, but both Hop and Kristen thoroughly enjoyed it. "Bye, see you tomorrow Hop." Kristen gushed out with a wide smile due to the Butterfree tickling her stomach after that kiss.
