🎄💞(Late) Christamas Special💞🎄

❄💫

A harsh snow fell, just outside of the pokemon center where Hop and Kristen were snowed-in. The blizzard grew worse and worse by the minute. People and pokemon both sat inside, in the comfort of one another's warmth. The nurse tried calming down rattled pokemon in the back of the pokemon center. Hop was hugging himself, shivering violently, "I was supposed to go back home today. ." Hop sighed looking at the t.v. The news reporter was spluttering out things.

Kristen leaned against the wall across Hop, mimicking his actions. "Me too. . I was supposed to see my family. I was going to see my grandparents, cousins, aunts." She mumbled, looking at the t.v as well. "I miss my mum. . ." She sniffled because of her runny nose.

Hop glanced at her, the sight of her reddened face put a small smile on his face, "I miss mine too." He told her sympathetically. He stopped rubbing his hands together, and held onto one of Kristen's gloved hands, "But hey, at least you're not alone." Kristen smiles softly, looking down at their hands.

"Yeah. . Thanks Hoppy." Kristen gave his hand a squeeze. "I'm going to get hot cocoa. Want some?"

"Yes please."

Kristen let go of his hand, heading to the counter. The man gave the girl a close-eyed smile. "What can I get you?"

"Two hot cocos, please." The man nodded, turning his back to her an getting two mugs from a small cabinet.

"For you and that boyfriend of yours?" He smirked. It wasn't usual for him to be so nosey.

Kristen laughed nervously, "He's not my boyfriend." She gazed at Hop. He was sitting at one of the tables now, in a daze.

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry." The man wrinkled his nose, handing me two hot cups of cocoa. Kristen smiled him thanking him.

"Thank you." He nodded, Kristen then walked away to the table making Hop shoot his head up. "You okay Hoppy?"

"Yeah, why?"

"You were spacing out."

Hop gave a shrug of his shoulders, "I was lost in thought." She handed him his steaming mug of hot cocoa. He lightly blew on it thanking me quietly.

The brunette sat across from him, resting my chin in her palm. She exhaled sharply, thinking of her family. What they could be doing. Suddenly the doors opened, letting in a cold, harsh breeze. Everyone covered their heads as hoods and hats were being blown off. A small Glaceon ran into the pokemon center searching the pokemon center. The doors were swiftly closed behind the small, icy pokemon. She trotted over to the brunette crying out. "A Glaceon?" Hop and Kristen jumped off their seats, crouching down. Kristen hugged her knees to her chest as she stroked the pokemon. Hop did the same, realizing it had something in it's mouth. Hop took the note out. He opened up causing a curious Kristen to peer over at the mysterious note. It read:

Hey K, this is your uncle Joey. Like my new Glaceon? She's cute, ain't she? You're family is really worried. Hopefully you'll be home soon. Stay safe, stay out of the snow, got it? Okay, we love you.

Kristen sniffled lightly, not just because of her runny nose anymore. Hop raised a brow at her. It was rare for her to be crying over something. The Glaceon nuzzled her leg, as for Hop, she tried comforting his friend with a hug. "Hey, don't worry. You'll get home." She sat down on the cold surface, wrapping her arms around Hop. "I promise!"

"The power might go out. ." Nurse Joyce said in a gentle voice. Everyone turned their head up to the t.v. Someone was announcing that what she said was in fact true.

Kristen groaned in annoyance as she leaned against Hop's shoulder. "What luck!"

"Hope you're all in a bundle of warm clothes, it doesn't seem like this snowstorm is going to—"

The lights went out as predicted making murmurs rise between people. A candle was lit by Nurse Joyce. She walked up to Hop handing him a candle. She began passing everyone candles. "Here, lite them all please." Everyone obliged, walking to one another in order to lite their candles. "I'm worried about the pokemon." She mumbled.

Hop walked up to Kristen, lighting her candle with his. "Look on the bright side," Kristen scoffed at his comment.

"What bright side? I'm stuck in a pokemon center with no one I know except you, I don't know if my family is in trouble or something, it's cold as heck, the lights went out, I'm here instead of at home! We should all be home! There is no bright side!" Hop smiled at her slightly.

"Maybe there isn't for you," Kristen raised her brows.

"There's a bright side for you?" If she could've she would've crossed her arms, but her hand was occupied with holding the candle.

"Of course."

"Oh yeah? And what is it?"

Hop brought his candle away from hers, placing it on the table. He grabbed Kristen's as well, placing it on the table along with his. "I'm stuck here with you."

It fell silent between them, then Kristen doubled over with laughter. "You're so cheesy!" Hop laughed lightly, "Thanks for that Hop."

"No problem." It was a small, dull lit building, but it was better than nothing. "But I mean it."

Kristen giggled, "Stop."

Hop smiled, taking her hands in his, "Why? Is it making you flustered?" Kristen stayed silent at that question. "I'll take your silence as a 'yes'."

They locked eyes, a blush on her face. "How did I get so lucky as to have a best—"

She stopped. "Best what?"

Kristen shook her head, "Nothing. Never mind. You make being here nice." She hugged Hop to which Hop returned. Kristen reach up planting a soft kiss on his cheek.

"I know." He laughed, giving her a forehead kiss.
