To me it's been like ages since I last talked to Kristen. I miss talking to her, texting her, calling her. Her and I could text her 24/7 and we would never get bored. We could about the randomest things and we would always have good laughs. Hours passed by so quickly, that I'd be night and I wouldn't have done any of the 'studying' Sonia told me to do.
Surely Sonia had to notice at some point and she did.
I was sitting at the table, skimming a book while drinking a cup of tea. Sonia had finished up from some 'mission', or at least what she called her little outing. "Hop," I turned my head up at the red-head, "you're.. studying?"
I stuck my nose back into the book, "Yep." My eyes flew across the words.
"Wow. I'm proud of you, Hop. Why is that though?" She asked placing a plastic bag on the table in front of me.
"You asked me." I continued to read, I responded with a sarcastic tone.
"I know that Hop." She gave an eye roll as she placed her hands on the end of the chair that stood across me. The only answer I gave was a slight shrug. "By this time," she looked at a clock the hung on the wall in the small dining area, "you'd be on the phone with Kristen."
"I. Know.."
"What happened between you two? What are hiding from me, Hop?" I took my eyes off the book, looking at her. There was a frown on her face.
"Just a small fight is all. I'm sure we'll be over it soon.. I hope.." I mumbled, turning back to my book again. Sonia let out a sigh, walking past the dinning room.
I was really hoping maybe we'd end up talking. For all I know Kristen could be uncomfortable with talking to me.. I was in a daze when I heard the door to my room burst open, hitting my wall violently. I snapped my head to my door to see Leon who had a shit-eating smirk on his face. "H—hey Lee..!! Wha—what are you doing here?"
"I don't know if you forgot, but I'm not champion anymore. Besides, is there something wrong with wanting to see my little brother?" He strolled up to me and ruffled my hair.
"Kind of."
Lee rolled his eyes, "What were you doing?" He sat beside me.
I shrugged. I had been sitting on my bed, staring off into space for about an hour. "Nothing."
"Hey, stop being a couch potato and let's go do something."
I lightly laughed, "I think I'll pass."
"I won't take 'no' for an answer." Lee stood up with two hands on his hip. He only made that ridiculous pose for a brief moment before he harshly grabbed my arm and pulled me up.
"Hey!"
It wasn't just Sonia who had realized the change. My mom noticed too, so she encouraged me to leave the house with Lee.
We took a train, why when we could've taken Charzard? I don't know. There was a cinema in Wyndon that I didn't even know about that Lee and I were currently walking to. "What movie are we watching?"
He chuckled smugly, "'We' aren't watching one." The way he said 'we're made me furrow my brows in confusion. That wasn't even the confusing part. The confusing part was when said we weren't watching it. What were we supposed to do here if we're not even going to watch a movie? Play the little arcade style games they have there? I felt a vibration in my left pocket. I slipped my phone out and I looked down at my phone to story update from Kristen on pokesnap( creative, yes I know c; ). I opened it. It was a picture of her with small butterfree's on her cheeks. She looked happy.. she probably doesn't miss me as much as I miss her. Probably doesn't miss me at all for that matter.
"Hey Leon. Why are we here?" I heard that familiar snarky voice. I put my phone down to look at none other than Piers who was standing next to Marnie. "All you told me was to meet you here and to being my sister." I saw Leon's lips moving, but I couldn't make any words. Piers' eyes narrowed as he gave him a menacing glare. "How dare you?! You didn't even ask for permission." He then eyed me with an even more intimidating glare that he gave my brother. "And you, you agreed to this? You didn't think to ask for consent?!" I back up, putting my hands up defensively.
"What are you talking about?"
"Brother, stop. What are you even talking about? Consent for what?" Marnie put an arm in front of her brother.
"I'm talking about this date that I didn't know about."
"A date?!" Both me and Marnie looked at one another, then at Lee.
"It's not so much a date as it is a hangout... just them two alone."
Piers shook his head violently rushing to his so called friend. He jabbed his chest with a finger. "No way! They are not going to be alone! They can hang out, but I'm going to be by my sister's side the wh—"
"Okay, okay," Lee removed his finger from his chest, "calm down already. It's a small hangout.. but don't you think it's kind of weird if we're hanging out with two kids?"
"I'm not a kid." Marnie argued crossing her arms.
Honestly, I don't want to go on this date.
