This feeling of hopelessness stayed with me for a long time, when I started my first year of university and months after.

I still had to pass the same intersection to go to college everyday, so I was reminded of his path every time and still wanted nothing more than to walk to the end of it, to walk to the big river and stare at its beauty.

What I didn't realise until half a year later was that going to university opened several new paths for me.

I saw a few guys that I remembered from class at the intersection. One waved at me from the other side, motioning me to come to him, so I walked towards him.
