The Encounter

SpeedyWheelz16: How about the playground down the street from your school?  12 noon. *smirk*

"Sandy?  Do you know anything about a park?  Down the street from school?" "Yeah.  My mom posted a picture on Facebook when we first moved here.  But I only know that because she showed me.  I only have Kik and Instagram."

"Ok.  That means he must know someone who knows your mother, and he saw it, or he's stalking you.  I'm not sure why he'd be acting on the latter." "Probably so he can show back up and ruin my life again.  Give me the phone."

CamoLover1936: How do you know about that playground, Elohim?!  What do you want from me?!

SpeedyWheelz16: Ah, she speaks!  And, that's easy.  The O'Hare's are no strangers to social media.  Especially your mother. Besides.  I have my ways of getting whatever information I want.

CamoLover1936: You're a piece of scum.  What did you do? Follow me here?

SpeedyWheelz16: Slow down.  I just want to see you.  It's been a while.  And, did I follow you?  More or less.

CamoLover1936: See you in an hour, then.

SpeedyWheelz16: See you then.

"Alright, Jake.  Let's get ready.  This guy just messed with the wrong girl at the wrong time." I put on my BTS shirt, my leather jacket, and a pair of pink skinny jeans.  I finished off the look with some black tennis shoes over my braces and colorful socks.

*time skip*

We got to the park at 11:30.  We had half an hour.  "Jake.  What if I shut down when I see him?  What will I do then?" "Don't wory about that.  I'm right here.  I'm not going anywhere."

"11:45.  It's almost time. Just take a breath."  Just then, We heard something in the grass.  We looked, and there he was.  I'd recognize that chair in a crowd of millions like it.

"So.  You came.  It's nice to see you.  You look good."  "And you look the same.  Except for your hair.  It grew a bit.  But you still have the same cold, relentless blue eyes." "Now, Sandy.  Don't be like that."

"How should I be?  You emotionally destroyed me, metaphorically left me for dead, and now you're back?!  I'M NOT JUST GOING TO LET THIS GO!!!!!!!!!!!  What do you want?!" "You want the truth?  I wanted to check up on you.  To see how much I truly affected you.  It seems I did quite a number." He ended with a smirk.

"You're so proud of yourself, aren't you.?  You see me here, broken.  Broken by your doing.  Does this really make you feel good?  Hurting other people.  Or, maybe you didn't want to see the aftermath of your presence in my life.  Maybe, you wanted to see if other people left too.  You couldn't stand the thought of me leading a halfway decent life.  One where I didn't think of you.  One where someone actually cared about me, and was there for me.  Because, maybe, you couldn't have that yourself.  Sure, you have a loving family.  But you wanted more.  Where's Roi?" I smiled knowingly at the end.

"You don't know anything, you b*tch." "I know plenty.  I've had people walk out of my life because they took the same path you did.  I'm sure you were a good guy once.  And then your first love hurt you.  That's why you came to that hell hole of a school.  Anything to get away from her.  And, if I had to guess, you and Roi hurt each other trying not to get hurt.  Because that's just who you are.  You thought that I'd suffer the same fate.  Well, you were wrong.  Now, if we're done, get out of my life.  And stay out."

"And, you'd do well not to ever use that language toward my girlfriend again.  I won't be the only one you answer to."  "I'm so scared." He mocked.  It's not like you can actually do anything." "There are legal ways to handle this.  Or, you can just stop contacting her.  Sandy, let's go."

"Goodbye, Elohim." "See you, Monday." "What?"Jake responded angrily. "Oh, I switched schools.  I live in the area." I could see that Jake was ready to fight.  "Let's go, Jake.  Just because he'll be there, doesn't mean he'll be around us."

We left without another word.  Jake could tell I was tense.  So he turned on the radio.  Wanted by Hunter Hayes came on, and Jake sang to me.  I closed my eyes, and let the calm wash over me.

The rest of the drive was silent except for the radio and us singing along occasionally.  Before I knew it, we were in my driveway.  We got out of the truck.  "Jake...  Thank you for not fighting him.  It means a lot that you would, though."

"Of course I would."  Just then, I got a call.

~Dun dun.  Sorry for the cliffhanger.  Idk what the call will be.  That will be a surprise to all of us.  Lol. I'm a bad author.  Sorry.  843 words.~
