Pinic With The Pops

A/n: Ha. I know I'm lame...

"So, Jake. Tell me about yourself." My daddy told him. "Well, I'm 17, a junior. I started school a year late because my parents couldn't afford it. I do ride a motorcycle, and I do like leather jackets, but I'm not the bad boy type. I have been protecting Sandra from the guys at my school who don't have the best intentions where she is concerned. And I would like to get a job once I graduate, if not sooner."

"You'd best get a job if you plan to support my baby girl." Daddy said sternly. "Daddy!!" "What? I can tell he's a good one. He's plannin on stickin around, and while I'm confident you can take care of yourself, it's good to have someone, since I won't be around forever. Son, if you ever plan on poppin the question, you have my blessin as long as you can adequately take care of yourself and her."

"Thank you, Mr. O'Hare." "Call me Fred, boy." "Thank you so much, Fred." "Let's get to the restaurant." "Do you care if I ride with Jake, daddy?" "Not at all. Just be careful."

"We will." I kissed his cheek, and hopped back on the motorcycle. "Where we goin, girly?" Jake asked in a joking tone. "Olive Garden. My favorite restaurant."

"Perfect. Like you." I blushed. "You realize my daddy might start planning our wedding." "Of course. Let the man have his fun."

After he said that, he kicked the bike into gear, and headed to Olive Garden. We beat daddy there. Once he got there, we went in and got us a table. The waitress came up, and it happened to be Eva.

'Lord Almighty.' was my only thought. "What can I- Sandy!!" She screamed, just about falling out of her wheelchair. She calmed down, fixed her sandy brown and lilac hair, and took our orders. Her pale skin positively shone with excitement, and her beautiful turquoise eyes weren't doing a good job of hiding it either.

Our food came, and we ate and had casual conversation. When we finished, we left a tip. We walked outside, and Jake said "I've got to get home. It was nice to meet you, sir. Have a good night, you two." He hugged me and shook Daddy's hand before hopping on his motorcycle and driving off.

"I like that boy." "I'm glad." "Let's get home." "Indeed."

"We got home, and my phone buzzed. (It was on vibrate at dinner.)
Jake🐺: So... I wanted to talk to you...
Sandy✝💖: What about?
Jake: Well, we may have only met yesterday, but I have strong feelings for you. I pray that you don't run off, and I can only hope you don't shut me out. Because I feel like I get you. I feel like I understand, and can truly grasp what you go through, even if I haven't gone through it myself. What I truly want to say, I can't unless we are face to face.
Sandy✝💖: Ok. Pick me up tomorrow, and we can talk then. Sound good? And I'll give you my reaction then. Good night.
Jake🐺: Good night, Sandy.
