Mitchell Again
"Ok. I gotta go, daddy. See you when you get home. I love you." "I love you too, baby girl. See you then." I hung up, and called Jake back. "Uh... My daddy wants to meet you... I told him I made a friend who protected me from the bullies, and said "he", so now you're gonna meet Mr. O'Hare... Former helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army..." "Oh, God. He's gonna skin me alive." "It's ok. I'll text you my address. Don't wear your leather jacket, cuz he don't like guys that dress like bad boys. He believe you're a good guy, because you are, if you don't dress like that." "I totally get it. Um... A nice polo and jeans?" "Perfect. And, I'm trustin you with this, but my parents are gettin a divorce." "Wow. How do you feel about it?" "I'm actually relieved. We're finally away from the drinking and fighting." "Ok. I'm here to talk if you need it." "Thanks. I gotta go. I'll text you the address." "Alright. Bye, darlin." "Bye." ~texting~
Sandy✝💖: *insert random address here*
Jake🐺: Thanks.
Sandy✝💖: No problem.
I decided to call Eva, my best friend since Kindergarten. She didn't answer the first time. But she did the second. "Evangeline Marie Goulding, why didn't you answer me?" "I just got home. Ya know, school isn't the same without you." "I know. I have news..." "What kind?" "Well, first, my parents are getting divorced." "Now? I mean, you've been wanting it, but you just started a new school." "Yeah. And I made a new friend. Daddy is gonna meet him." "What your daddy is gonna do is, is he's gonna take him to the shootin range.". "Can you have a little faith in him?" I said, exasperated. "Ok. I want to meet him too sometime." "Alright. It's bed time. Talk tomorrow."
"Ok. Night." I hung up, put my phone on the charger by my bed, and turned my light off. I lay down, and fell asleep instantly.
~TIME SKIP~
"I'm so addicted to all the things you do." I turned my alarm off. The good thing about having your music in shuffle for your alarm. I new song every day. I got up, and got dressed. I had a text from Jake.
Jake🐺: Leave the truck at home. Hope you like motorcycles.
Sandy✝💖: Alright. I do, indeed.
I brushed my teeth, and did my hair and makeup. I put my keys in my backpack, and my phone dinged.
Jake🐺: Here.
Sandy✝💖: Alright. I'm comin.
I walked outside, and there stood a leather-clad Jake leaning against a purple and blue Harley.
"Nice ride." I said, taking the helmet and hopping on behind him. "Thanks. Figured you'd like it.". He said, smirking before we put our helmets on.
When we walked into the school, Mitchell got in Jake's face. "Alright, pretty boy. It's time to stop protecting her." "You can't keep her from me forever."
"Watch me." Jake growled possessively. His arm tightened around my waist, and he kissed my temple roughly. "Sorry." He whispered in my ear.
Mitchell stormed off. "Why did you apologize?" I asked. "I didn't have permission to kiss you, and I did it anyway." He said, sounding ashamed.
"Jake, it's not a problem. For more than one reason. 1. You were protecting me. 2. I honestly just didn't mind it."
He looked at me astounded. "Really?" "Yes. You really wanna get him? Kiss my lips next time. You officially have my permission to kiss me if you feel like something isn't right in how someone is treating me while you're around."
The day passed rather quickly with no more major incidents. Then Jake took me home, and daddy was standin on the porch waiting. "So this must be that 'friend' you were tellin me about."
"Yes, daddy. This is Jake." Jake stepped up and shook my daddy's hand firmly. "It's nice to meet you, sir." "Nice to meet you too, son."
