The Avengers were already seated around the conference table. We sat ourselves down and immediately began joking and laughing.  All conversations came to a stop when Director Fury strode inside briskly. He stood at the head of the table and stared us down with his eye. He was pissed, for some reason, though it didn't  take much to set him off. 

He said,' According to our scientists, a portal will open soon, presumably inside the building.''

'Do you kn-'  Clint started, but Fury interrupted, 'No, we do not know where it is coming from only that it is coming,' 

'Well then, 'I said, 'Let's prepare for our guests or, prisoners'
