Arthur and Lily?
And who is this old couple?
I kept the photograph aside and went further into the house.
It was obvious from the looks of that house that it was abandoned since a long time.

I looked into the drawers and cupboards to find something informative.
There were photographs of Arthur, Lily, some kids.
Well maybe these kids were no one but Arthur and Lily themseleves.

I was confused to the core.
So Arthur and Lily lived here before?
I found a few documents in one of the drawers.
They were adoption papers.

Arthur and Lily's adoption papers.
'So both of them lived here until they were young enough to leave', I said to myself.

" We lived here until she killed us" I heard a voice.
I nearly jumped off my place and looked everywhere.
There was no one.

I was about to keep the adoption papers back when I noticed something.
The date of adoption.
22nd December 1850

That wasn't possible.
I was sure there was some sort of misunderstanding.
I immediately called Lily.
"Hello?",
"Lily? Can you meet me right now?"
"I guess you have the wrong number. This isn't Lily's number"

And the call was disconnected.
"Lisa? You called me", I heard Lily's voice.
I looked around but she was nowhere to be seen.

I just sat down on a chair, trying to understand all that was going on.
So Lily and Arthur lived here.
They were adopted by this old couple.
But the year! 1850!
How could this happen?

All those words flashed back in my mind.

"We lived here until she killed us"
"I know Arthur since I was five"
"I know everything"

I had never seen Lily or Arthur talking to anyone else.
All the other students used to laugh at me.
Maybe because they thought I was insane.
I was talking to someone who wasn't visible to them.
Arthur and Lily were dead.

I further explored the rooms.
There was nothing useful there.
I was about to leave when I heard some sound.
It was coming from the bedroom.

I was scared but I went inside.
I saw Lily hanging down the fan.
"Lily", I screamed.
