AN:    Names abbreviated

Laurent (Lau), Larry (Lar) and their family where chatting while Kaitlyn (Kat) slept, waiting for Sapphire (Sapp) to return. They all quietened and looked at Kat when they heard an irregular heart beat on the monitor . . . Her body was twitching. They startled when Kat clutched over her belly with her arms and whispered out "Please . . . Please don't hurt Laubears baby . . . Take me instead . . . Please . . . P". . . A heart beat later, Kat's arms slid off her belly
Catalina (Cat):    My belle begged for my grand babies life - quietly
Everyone looked at Cat . . . Tears were trickling down her cheeks. Lau and Lar were seated either side of Cat on lazy boys . . . There eyes fixed on Kat
Lar:    The only time belle's call us Laubear and Larbear
Lau:    Is when we are with our siblings - both through gritted teeth
Cat covered her mouth and burst into tears
Darren:    Son's . . . Please don't jump to conclusions - Lau and Lar glared at Dar
Darren:    My daughter is here too . . . Trust me . . . I want to put my hands on those responsible just as much as y'all do - with that Darren turned and moved to the window
Lau and Lar raised and moved to Darren placing their hands on his shoulder blades
Darren:    No need to apologise boys - through sobs
Lau and Lar leant against Darren and sobbed, remembering the day they met Sapp and Kat

**Flashback . . . Laurent and Larry POV **

It was a rainy, miserable Thursday. Our ma, sister Monica, brother James, ten year old niece Bianca and us were at the city hospital, in an emergency room with seven foot fraternal twins Dr's Shaun and Kristopher (Kris) Alpine. They were asking Bianca an array of questions about a mosquito bite to her lower leg in a manner she could understand. When she mentioned she had visited a deer farm during a school trip and a teacher pulled something off her leg, Bianca was asked to lower the pressure bandage. It looked like a red, nasty bullseye. Shaun excused himself and exited the roo. Kris explained Shaun was calling off duty paediatric specialists to examine Bianca's leg, reassuring all of us Bianca was in good hands and would be taken care of. We all looked at each other thinking the same thing . . . We would have to wait a while, Bianca will be looked over, given a prescription for medicine and sent home . . . As per usual from previous visits to Accident and Emergency clinics

Minutes later Shaun entered with two other people we couldn't see until they moved to the end of the bed . . . All our eyes widened . . . They were female versions of Shaun and Kris with exotic skin tone, white teeth, infectious smiles. They introduced themselves as Dr's Sapphire (Sapp) and Kaitlyn (Kat) Alpine. Sapp has ice amethyst eye's like Shaun, Kat has ice blue like Kris, the differences are Shaun and Kris are seven  foot, well built, country accents subtle. Sapp and Kat are five foot eight, frame's small, accents soft and drop dead gorgeous

Shaun and Kris excused themselves and exited.  Sapp and Kat asked Bianca to introduce all of us then asked Bianca to remove the pressure bandage. What they said had us all shocked. Kat asked our ma to move with her to our sister while she spoke to Bianca and Monica, Sapp asked us guys to gather around her.

Bianca was to be admitted and tests conducted to confirm or rule out illness's and treated accordingly. Unfortunately only Monica and our ma could be with Bianca during the tests. We were informed to have something to eat during the tests and warned Bianca could be in hospital for upto four weeks or longer, dependant on what the tests reveal.

Hearing Bianca giggle had us guys looking at her. Kat was explaining the types of tests Bianca would undertake. Us guys relaxed and listened, not realising Sapp had slipped out until Bianca looked toward the door and blurted out "Are those the papers my mama has to sign so I can stay", excitedly. We looked toward the door to see Sapp smiling and nodding 'yes while passing a clipboard to Kat

Over an hour later us guys were seated in a waiting room of the paediatric department when Sapp and Kat entered and moved to us guys. They sat and explained Bianca had been diagnosed with Lyme Disease from being bitten by a deer tick and wasn't removed correctly leaving part of the tick embedded in Bianca's leg . . . They continued and explained the course of treatments Bianca would endure but couldn't say of any long term or short term effects of the disease simply because it was too early in the treatment to predict, but did say Bianca could be in hospital for upto three months

We followed Sapp and Kat to Bianca's room and gasped . . . The room and bedding were Bianca's favourite colour . . . Orange. Bianca was sitting up in bed, IV's in both hands, munching on a Kentucky Fried Chicken drum stick. Us guys looked at Sapp and Kat, they simply said "Welcome to paediatrics", Bianca giggled

**End of flashback**

Everyone was bought back to reality by a knock at the door. Seconds later Dr Turnbull (Connor) entered and asked everyone to make there way to the empty hospital room to meet with Detectives McKenna and Brody. Everyone raised and moved to the door but stopped when Thomas (Tom) and Eric asked if they could stay with Kat . . . They didn't want to know any details at the moment, everyone agreed.

Entering the room Det McKenna and Brody were making themselves hot drinks. Teddy (Ted), Jason (Jay) and Lar joined them to make hot drinks for Rosetta (Rose), Linda (Lin) and Catalina (Cat) while everyone else sat

When everyone was seated Darren and David (Dave) explained why Tom and  Eric weren't present, McKenna and Brody accepted their reasoning and asked if they should start with this situation first, without details of the incident . . . All heads nodded 'yes.

Lau, Lar and them were informed Sapp's recollection had been recorded, due to this, arrests were in progress as they spoke. Because of the nature of the crime, names couldn't revealed until after they had been interviewed so as not to cause conflicts of interest and further arrests could follow. The relief was evident by the sighs released

McKenna and Brody admitted the recording was graphic and recommended it not be listened too, however would be made available if requested after all interviews had been processed. They also admitted Sapp had revealed information they were seeking and have included charges of stalking, obtaining private information, falsifying documents and thieft

When everyone had settled, McKenna and Brody looked at Lau and Lar
McKenna:    I want to show you a photo
Brody:        We need to know if you know this person - Lau and Lar nodded 'okay
McKenna removed a small photo from his blazer pocket and showed it to Lau and Lar . . . They frowned
Lau:    That's Angela . . . She was the secretary on that Saturday
Brody:    Was this the first time you've met her
Lar:    No . . . We met her another time about eight months ago
McKenna:    Can we ask where
Lar:    At another meeting . . . She was covering for Johnathon's secretary who was on holiday at the time - Brody wrote in his notepad
Lau and Lar were thanked. The photo was then shown to Teddy (Ted), Jason (Jay), Rosetta (Rose) and Linda (Lin). Rose + Lin blurted out "That's Miss Harvey" . . . Lau and Lar looked at Rose and Lin wide eyed
Brody:    Your all correct . . . This photo is of Miss Harvey but she is an identical twin
McKenna :    We showed her the photo of the rings . . . She identified the ring she has . . . Hers was on her hand
Brody:    When we mentioned we had found one at the scene of a crime she revealed her twin sister named Angela
McKenna:    Without further questioning, Miss Harvey informed us her sister Angela and brother Aaron suffer from Bipolar. Miss Harvey voluntarily chose to be interviewed, offered her fingerprints and DNA sample . . . We accepted
Brody:    At the Time of the crime, Miss Harvey was out of the country, having left two day's before, returning four day's after, her whereabouts were confirmed
McKenna :    Miss Harvey's fingerprints didn't match any found at the scene or surroundings
Brody:    Because Miss Harvey is an identical twin, her DNA was cross referenced with the known specimens . . . One returned at 99.3% match . . . Another at 50% . . . Male
McKenna :    Problem is . . . Miss Harvey has four brothers, Aaron, reporter Sharon's husband Aaron and Angela have gone into hiding
Brody:    With the help of Miss Harvey, she has been placed into protective custody and coached by our team . . . Miss Harvey's sister calls her once a week
McKenna :    All Miss Harvey has to do is speak with her sister for ninety seconds for us to get a location
Brody:    The exchange should be happening today
McKenna:    Ma'am . . . Something on your mind - looking at Cat
Cat:    I-I know you can't tells us names . . . B-but . . . W-were any of my children involved with hurting my belles - quietly
Brody:    Why do you ask - looking at everyone
Darren and David told them of the incident with Kat
Brody:    Ma'am . . . Should we answer that question, no matter the answer, everyone in this room would have to remain on the hospital premises until the investigation is complete
Cat:    W-what if you only tell me - quietly
Brody:    You will be removed from the premises and placed into protective custody - Cat gasped
McKenna :    Just a reminder, today's discussion and information provided is not to be discussed with anyone outside of this room - all heads nodded in understanding

Returning to Sapp and Kat's room, they were passing by the nurses station and stopped when Lau and Lar heard there names. A nurse approached and informed Lau and Lar a lady was in the family room waiting to speak with them. Lau and Lar thanked the nurse and turned to face everyone
Cat:    Boy's . . . What's going on
Lau:    Ma, we've been checking our social media's
Lar:    Girls are claiming to be our bits on the side when we travel out of town
Lau:    Darren . . . David . . . We swear on our mama's life we have not . . . Do not cheat on our belle's
Lar:    Our marriages are not of convenience, our marriages are real and built on trust
David:    We know . . . Not only can we see this
Darren:    We can feel the trust y'all have for each other - Lau and Lar thanked them and turned

They inhaled deeply and stepped toward the entry door. Exiting, they continued to the family lounge and entered. A tall, beautiful, pregnant women raised and approached, smile on her face, hand rubbing her belly
Lau and Lar:    You can stop there - firmly
The women was about four feet away and stopped
Women:    Hi baby . . . I had to see you - Looking at Lar
Lau and Lar:    Who are you talking too
Women:    Are you serious right now Laurent, we've been meeting up at Atlanta . . . You told me you were leaving your wife to care for me and your child - rubbing her belly, looking at Lar
Lar:    Remind me again how we met
Women:    Ten . . . Eleven months ago, I attended your workshop . . . You invited me to join you that night at a nightclub . . . Later on we ended up at your hotel . . . We've been together since then
Lau:    Bro, it's obvious you can't handle your liquor
Lar:    Well someone obviously took advantage of me when I was drunk
Women:        You weren't drinking all the time
Lau and Lar:    DING, DING, DING . . . Strike three your out - the women raised an eyebrow
Lau:    Fact one . . . We haven't been to Atlanta for thirteen months - the womens eyes widened
Lar:    Fact two . . . I'm Larry - the women gulped
Lau:    Fact three . . . We don't drink alcohol
Lar:    Fact four . . . I have recorded this conversation - holding up his phone
The woman's jaw dropped. The woman and Lar looked at Lau when they heard a shutter sound
Lau:    And I have your mug shot - with that Lau and Lar turned and walked out
