Thalia XIX

Thalia really hated being a daughter of Zeus.

"Come on, Dad!" Thalia waved her arms in exasperation. "I like being a hunter! I like to work with Artemis."

Zeus folded his arms.

"You work for her, not with her. She treats you as slaves."

"If you count immorality, having a good living environment and enough food to eat with lots of adventures, I don't think so."

That Artemis has a trick up her sleeve." he said, narrowing his eyes. "She wants to save that scrawny nephew of mine."

"Percy?"

"Argh! Don't even mention his name! Disgusting. He thinks he's the hero? He thinks he can boss us around? Turning down immortality so many years ago. He's up to something. I'm sure."

"Dad!" Thalia sighed. "Seriously? Can you be less narcissistic? He saved the world, dad. If it weren't because of him, Gaea would be sitting here. Not you!"

Zeus' face was red with anger.

"How dare you speak to your father like that! Go! And don't return!" he boomed.

"Fine. I never wanted you as my father anyway." Thalia ran to the elevator, and before Zeus could react, she slammed the button and went back to Earth.

"You shouldn't have said that before you left." a voice said. Thalia jumped and pulled out her sword.

"Who's there?"

Nico walked out from the shadows of the elevator, holding the hand of a trembling Annabeth.

"She's still in shock?" Thalia looked at her best friend anxiously. Nico nodded.

"Still shaking. She kept on muttering something about not letting him leave in the first place."
"Poor Annabeth." Thalia pulled in Annabeth for a hug.

"T-Thalia…" Annabeth was crying again. "Why…? Why must they do this?"

"Come on now." The doors of the elevator opened and Thalia walked out, supporting Annabeth. "We'll get in the car and  you get some beauty sleep."

When they got to the car, Thalia placed Annabeth on the passenger seat as gently as possible. Annabeth muttered something Thalia didn't catch and fell asleep.

Nico was starting to sit in the passengers seat, but then Thalia stopped him.

"You drive."

"Me?" Nico's eyes widened. "But…but… why?"

"Because I'm not in the mood to do so." Thalia flopped herself onto the passengers seat.

Nico rolled his eyes and sat in the drivers seat.

"How do you start this thing?"

"Seriously, Di Angelo?"

"I've never driven a car before!"

"You get the keys and place it into the key hole and twist it."

Nico started the car.

"Now what?"

"Ugh! I can never have a moment of rest." Thalia got out of the car and motioned for Nico to get out.

"Get your unworthy butt out of my driver's chair." Nico sulkily obliged and murmured something about hellhounds and curled up on the passenger's seat. Thalia hit the accelerator and the car started it route back to Camp Half-Blood.

"Thalia! Slow down!" Nico yelled.

"Duh! It's only seventy meters per minute! Anyways, we have to get back! We have to tell Chiron about this!"

"Can't we just Iris message?"

Thalia shot Nico a dirty look.

"Oh yeah, we could just make an Iris message because I could summon water!"

Nico turned his face back to the window and stopped talking.

"You know, Nico is right. Thalia, slow down!"

"Annabeth! You're awake?" Thalia turned her head to the back of the car. To her surprise, it wasn't Annabeth.

"Bianca?!" Thalia hit the brakes. Nico bumped his head again.

"Ugh, I'm never taking the private car again… wait, what? BIANCA?

Bianca? Why would she be here? Thalia didn't understand. Didn't she choose rebirth…?

"Yes, yes." Bianca said, rolling her eyes. "I'm here. I'm a ghost, okay? Seriously. Calm down. Percy sent me. I'm not really allowed to talk to you all anyway." Thalia tensed.

"Wait, what did you say?"

"I'm not really allowed to talk to you?" Bianca raised an eyebrow.

"No before that."

"I'm a ghost, calm down…?"

"After that?"

"Oh. Uh, Percy sent me."

"Percy? You've seen Percy?"

"Yes." Bianca's image started to dissolve. She gasped. "I don't have much time, but I have to tell you. Gaea wanted to use Percy. And Kronos too. They wanted to use Percy and Annabeth, but then, they shall eliminate both camps and then Gaea shall rule the world. I remember now. Yes, they wanted to use Percy as…"

"Bianca? What are you doing here?" Hades suddenly appeared inside the car. Nico yelped. "Holy Hades…"

"Yes, son. Your sister is here. She…"

"Shut up, Dad!" Bianca yelled loudly, her image flickering. "I'm leaving in a moment! They wanted to use Percy as…"

"Daughter, I…" then all of a sudden, Hades disappeared.

"I forbid this young demigod soul to tell you my plans!" A hooded figure appeared.

Bianca gasped.

"You again! I saw what you have done with Percy. You mons-" then Bianca yelped and clutched her neck, like she was gagging.

"Puny little hunter." The hooded figure smirked. "You thought you could ruin my plans? I'm Gaea! I am the Earth!"

Thalia rolled her eyes.

"Somebody is so full of herself."

She slashed her sword towards Gaea, only to cut through a dissolved image.

"Ha!" Gaea cried, reforming in another space. "You thought you could kill me?"

Gaea stretched out her arms and Thalia felt ropes tightly wrapping themselves around her neck; she tried to pull them off, but they weren't there.

"Don't hurt them!" Nico shouted, skeletons appearing at the side of the road. "What do you want?"

Gaea grinned evilly and balled her hand into a fist. Almost immediately, Bianca screamed.
"Bianca!" Nico and Thalia shouted at the same time.

Bianca's face was turning a light shade of purple.

"My daughter, come back! It is safer in the underworld!" Hades' voice appeared from nowhere. Bianca grimaced in pain.

"Never!" She screamed. "W-wait you two... I'll...f-find you..." Her image dissolved and Gaea screamed in anger.

"The spy! Gone!" Gaea wailed. She too, disappeared.

Thalia felt the ropes disappearing, and she let out a sigh of relief.

Annabeth was still snoring lightly in the passenger's seat.

"What's the matter with her? Is she obsessed by a sleeping phantom or something?"

Nico was too shocked to reply.

"B-Bianca? She lied to me? She lied to me?"

"Hey... Calm down...."

"Why...?" Nico looked as if he was about to cry. Poor boy. He had a hell of a life.

Then Annabeth bolted up and shrieked.

"Holy Athena!"

Thalia laughed.

"Seriously? You hardly say Holy Athena. Dreams, I suppose?"

"Really bad." her grey eyes were filled with shock. "Find Sally."

"What?"

"Sally. Sally Jackson."

"What? Why?" Thalia asked.

"Stop asking questions." Annabeth snapped. "Just… drive!"
