Ron's POV

I see Carl and Enid. They are walking the streets. I hide in a bush take the gun from my holster. Next Thing I know BLAM! THUD! "OH MY GOD! CARL!!" Enid screams. "RICK!!!" She cries out. I smile and laugh silently. And I quietly get away.

Enid's POV

I kneel next to him and put my head on his chest trying to hear a heartbeat. "PLEASE SOMEONE!" I scream. Who did this? I will kill them. I think to myself. Then I see rick running from the armory. "Son! What happened?!" He asks worried. "SHUT UP AND HELP ME GET HIM TO THE INFIRMARY!" I yell. He picks him up and we run there. And he puts him on the bed. "DENISE!" I yell crying. She runs in "huh? OH MY GOD!! WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?!" She asks obviously trying to grasp the situation. "I don't know, Help him!" I demanded. She nodded and grabbed a bunch of random things she might need. I shake my head and look at the floor. Until I feel a hand on my shoulder. "It's okay, it wasn't your fault." He sighs. "Yes it was. Maybe if I left, he'd be safer?" I say, which to be honest, it sounds more like a question rather then a statement. "Your not leaving. He needs you." Rick responds firmly. I sigh, and nod. I kneel by his right side, and grab his hand, holding it between my own. A tear runs down my cheek. "Honey, you need to go, I need to operate on the wound. He's going to be okay." Denise says. "O-oh. Okay..."I say shakily, as I'm walking out. I sit on the porch, Rick sighs, and walks home. "Goodbye Enid, do me a favor, come get me when he wakes up. Okay?" He says. "Yes Sir." I respond, trying to get Rick to like me better. It's obvious he doesn't like me. It upsets me. I think while frowning.

~30 minuets later~

"Enid, you can come in now." Denise says smiling weakly. I get up quickly and dash in, thanking her. I see a bandage over his left eye. "I couldn't save it..." she sighs. I walk over to her and hug her. She seems shocked when I say "He's still alive, isn't he?" Smiling. I walk over and kneel next to Carl's bed, and once again hold his hand, but this time he gripped my hand back lightly, and his eye opened. "E....Enid?" He says sort of weakly. lean over Carl and kiss his forehead. "I've got to get Rick." I say smiling my stupid smile. I run toward the Grimes's house and knock on the door several times. "Hello?" Rick says as he opens the door. "Your son's awake!" I say smiling. His jaw dropped, and he sprinted back to the infirmary. I giggled and walked back, unable to stop smiling.

Carl's POV

Hmm? "Dad...?" I say weakly. "Yes son? How are you feeling?" "My head hurts." I say awkwardly and slowly gaining my strength. "I can imagine." He responds. " where's E?" I ask stronger. Man I wish I had Enid's company. I could use it. "She's coming back." He says. The door opens. And Enid walks in. I couldn't help but smile "Hey, C." She says smiling as well. "Dad, Denise, give us a moment?" I say and Enid looks confused. The two nod and walk outside. "Can I have a hug?" I ask smirking. She giggled, and leaned over the bed to hug me, and she did. And I hugged back. Her warm body so close to me, took all the pain away from my eye. I couldn't help but to close my eye and not let go, but eventually we did. "I'm so sorry.."she whispers, tears streaming down her face. I sit up, and hold her face. "Hey, it's okay! I know you didn't do it. Stop crying. Your gonna make me cry." I say.

~A month later~

"Feeling better?" Enid asks. "Yes I'm fine." I say. "How's your family? How is your sister? I haven't met her yet." She says. I laugh and grab her hand leading her to my house. I walk inside dragging her upstairs, "budda!!" Judith yells adorably. "Hey Judy, this is Enid!" I say. "Eni?" Judith says. "I wan Enii!!" She squeals. So I pick her up from her crib and hand her to Enid. "hey cutie! Aren't you so adorable!" Enid says, which made me smile.

Enid's POV

She's so cute! She's got the same beautiful eyes as her brother. "Enid?" Carl asks awkwardly "hmm?" I say not really paying attention to what he was saying. "W..will you... be my.... girlfriend...?" He asks stuttering my cheeks turn red. "Yes!" I say. He seems dumbfounded. I laugh and go on my top-toes and kiss his cheek with Judy still in my arms. And I place her back in her crib, and kiss her head gently. "Goodnight Judith." I say. He laughs and says. "It's still early." "It's her bed time. It's around 6:45." I say looking over at Judith. Her eyes flutter shut. I laugh quietly. "Want to go on a walk?" He asks. "Sure"I smile and hold his hand. We walk outside and he says "I found a place outside the walls. It's a 10-15 minuet walk. Want me to show you?" He asks. " yeah, sure" I say. "Lets go." He leads me over the fence, and through the woods. We come up to a small house, fully furnished, with food, solar panels, and walls. And the walls are big. He climbs over them, and I do the same. "Woah.." I say astounded "look around. There's one bed, one bathroom. And. There is a nursery. With toys! For boys and girls!" He says. "Cool! We could bring Judith! And Maggie's baby! No matter the gender!" I say, Not being able to stop smiling! He shows me around. The one bedroom had a king size bed. So awesome. He leans to kiss me, and I kiss him back.
