Me: they replaced it with a new one...
Nick: sweet!
Me: but it's only partially charged so you'll have to charge it.
*plugs it in*
Nick: it's still not charging mum!
Me: did you use the new charger cord I gave you?
Nick: uh...no.
*goes and gets new cord and plugs it in*
Nick: it's still not charging mum!!
Me: are you using your new white plug instead of the old black one?
Nick: uh...no.
*goes and gets new white plug and plugs it in*
Nick: it's still not charging mum!!!
Me: show me.
*search google...nothing*
Nick: stupid bloody phone!
Me: I'll have to take it back and see what's wrong, though it's a complete new phone...
Me: *goes on eBay and orders a new $20 charger*
---next morning---
Nick: I found out why the phone wasn't charging.
Me: oh?
Nick: yeah, the battery wasn't in it...
Me: 😑
