On to the Backstory
"I'm not going to challenge the Germany Gym right now." Peter declared.
"What?!" Everybody whipped around to face him.
"I'll go for the hard ones first! Japan, America, Russia!"
All the others made comments on how that was a stupid plan, but Peter didn't care. He was going for it.
Soon, he arrived in front of the Japan Gym. A short-ish raven haired man opened the door.
"Peter." Peter was took aback, how could the man know his name?
"We've been waiting for you." His older brother Alfred also appeared, "Come in."
The two led Peter down to long hallway to the areana.
"You'll challenge Kiku first." A tall man with a scarf was waiting, "I will referee."
Peter shuddered.
"Azumarill! Out!" Wait, what? Since when did his Azurill evolve?
The bunny appeared.
"Weedle! Come out!" The man he could only assume to be this "Kiku" threw the ball. A small worm appeared.
"Huh? Wasn't this a psychic type gym?" He asked.
"You should be glad." The scarf man grinned, "Now beat it!"
"R-right." Peter stuttered, "Azuril- Azumarill, Uh, Tackle?" He had no idea what was Azumarill's moveset, but it worked.
Weedle swayed a bit, but Kiku called out another command, "Weedle! Use Roar Of Time!"
"Wait What?!" Peter stood, shocked, "WHAT?!?!"
As the over-powered move hit Azumarill, and it fell, fainted.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha." Alfred laughed, but not his annoying hero laugh, a mocking one.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha." Scarf man laughed.
"HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA" They, including Kiku all laughed together.
"AAH!" Peter screamed, and woke up in cold sweat.

"Exactly how strong are the other gyms?" Peter asked, as everybody sat around the room. The temperature was too hot to go anywhere.
"Well, there are ten gym leaders, and nine gyms." Gilbert pulled out his wallet, and took out a folded up picture.
"Feliciano, Lovino, mein bruder Ludwig, Kiku, Alfred, Your bruder Arthur, Francis, Yao, and Ivan." He pointed to each of the people in the picture, which he obviously had tooken.
Ludwig and Alfred looked the youngest in the picture, and Peter could guess that they were just entering their journeys, maybe 10. After that were the Italian brothers, Feliciano was 11, and Lovino 12. Arthur, Francis, and Ivan were around 12-13, Kiku 13, and Yao was the oldest, and didn't seem to be a trainer, and was maybe in his early 20's unlike the rest of them. Each of them had a Eevee somewhere near them, except for Yao, who already had a Flareon.
"Cool!" Peter looked at each of them, "When was this?"
Gilbert smiled, "10 years ago. I remember Ludwig dragging me, he made it to the League. All of them met as they went on their journeys."
"Their all gym leaders now?"
"Yeah."
"Who won that year?"
"Actually, none of them, some other dude did."
"Did they ever win?"
"Oh boy, you should have seen Kiku, Alfred, and Ivan, they literally were extreme rivals before they became gym leaders, for the next 7-so years, one of them won every year."
"What's with the Eevees?"
"Oh yeah!" Gilbert took out a Pokeball and threw it.
"Umbreon!" The moonlight Pokemon appeared.
"Basically, for years now, if you wanted to be a gym leader, you got a Eevee, and evolved it into the type of gym you wanted to have. It's kinda a unofficial tradition. Me, Yao, Romulus, Akila, Helena, and Burkhard.
"Was he in the league?" Peter pointed at Yao.
"Na, not that year." Gil laughed, "But back in the last of the 1900s, we were rivals."
"Are you a gym leader?" Peter asked.
"Nope! Now I just hang out with Francis and Toni, sometimes we host miniature performances to get the beginners fired up." As Gilbert talked, Peter vaguely remembered how this "Toni" person came to Iggy's house when he was younger.
"Cool!" Peter was starting to think up a plan for Wendy, he shut his eyes and spun around, "Hey, Wendy!"
"Um... Peter?" Gilbert tapped Peter's shoulder.
"Yeah?" Peter opened his eyes.
"I don't think that's going to work."
Wendy had fallen asleep with her head on the couch armrest, Romeo was lying front-up in the shade provided by the couch, a small line of drool snaking down his face. Feliciano was sprawled out, his foot resting on Romeo's stomach, and arm on Ludwig's back. Ludwig was passed out into a pillow.
"It really is hot." Gilbert sighed.
Peter frowned, another day wasted. Three days had already passed, he hoped he could train tomorrow, and have a gym battle on the day after that.
But, right now, it was a heatwave, and the perfect time for a nap...

In a total other region, five people sat around a table groaning.
"Why is it so hotttt" Michelle was sitting under the table for shade.
"It's all your fault!" Kirana snapped at Jet.
"Hey? What did I ever do to you?" Jet groaned.
"It's your fault that your house is so hot." New Zealand frowned.
"So you calling me handsome eh?" Jet fired back.
"BURN." Maria was currently eating ice cubes"
"Uh, no thanks, this place doesn't need to get any hotter than it already is." Kirana rolled her eyes.
"I don't think it CAN get hotter." NZ groaned.
"Maa." His sheep agreed.
"How about we all go escape to Mei's house." Michelle suggested.
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
"Agreed."
"SCREW IT YES." Jet pumped his fist. He sprinted out of the house, and attempted to swim to Taiwan.
"Uh... No thanks." Kirana dragged Maria into their motorboat, and everybody hopped in, leaving Jet behind.
"Hey!" He whined.
-
"I want to have a gym battle..." Peter was banging his head on the side of the table.
"Stop doing that." Wendy scolded.
Romeo laughed, "Why do all of your conversations start with Wendy scolding Peter?"
"Because he always does something wrong... That needs correcting." Wendy pointed out.
"I'm perfectly fine with myself." Peter sat up straight anyways.
"You should get a Magikarp." Romeo suggested, "Bec-"
"Becuase it's weak like you and takes a lot of effort to train. Plus it's a-" Wendy butted in.
"Actually, it's a water ty-" Romeo tried to continue, but Wendy cut him off again.
"It evolves into a stronger Pokemon which takes ridiculous work, but I would more-or-less compare Peter to a Magikarp that swallowed a everstone." Wendy finished.
"HEY!" Peter huffed, "I'm not weak! I defeated my first gym!"
"Feli doesn't always use his Eevee, only when the opponent is a small Pokemon." Romeo informed.
"Then what does he use?" Peter tilted his head.
"~Ve! You are absolutely adorable when you do that!" Feliciano had came out of no where, and was a ruffling Peter's hair, the smaller boy laughing, trying to get away.
"He uses these!" Romeo snatched two Pokeballs off Feliciano's belt, sticking his tongue out when his younger brother tried to get them back.
"Everybody out!" Romeo threw the two Pokemon in the air.
"Pidgeot!" "Delcatty!" Both of the Pokemon appeared, one flying, the other standing firm on ground.
"And here are mine!" Romeo grabbed four Pokeballs off his belt, and threw them in the air.
"Dratini!" The Dratini slithered up its trainer's arm.
"Skitty!" A pink cat materialized.
"Decidueye." The owl marksman appeared.
The last Pokemon Romeo had was a Eevee.
"You have a Eevee too?" Peter remembered what Gilbert had told him.
"Yeah? Why?" Romeo put his arms above his head so Dratini could go to his opposite arm.
"Wasn't that just for gym leaders?"
"No! Of course not!" He laughed, "But yeah, I was the gym leader. For like. A year."
"A year? Why aren't you a gym leader now?" Peter asked.
"Because he doesn't want to be one, duh." Wendy grinned.
Romeo nodded his agreement.
"If I ever got the chance to be a gym leader, I would do it." He huffed.
"Hey, I'm sure one day Arthur, Berwald, or Tino might let you take over their gyms." Feliciano butted in again.
"Does that mean I have to get a Eevee?" Peter asked.
"It depends. Continue the tradition?"
"...Continue the tradition."
