Helena's P.O.V.

"Helena?" I hear my mom knock on my bedroom door lightly.

"Come in." sitting up on my bed I call out. Kane had so graciously dropped me back home earlier this morning since he had to take care of some 'business'. I was happy to get away from him until he gave me the horrible news that he was picking me up for our first date later today. I seriously thought he was joking around. Lucifer goes on dates?

"How are you, hon?" My mom asks with a worried look on her face.

"Okay. Why?" I ask trying to fake how 'okay' I am not.

She stares at me for a while before sighing and sitting down at the end of the bed. "Your father and I are really worried about you Helena. You have been very distant, Tatiana has not been around all week, neither has Ethan. Except when he picked you up for school, and you have been coming home late. Do you think we have not noticed that it is not Ethan dropping you off? Are you --?" She trails off looking uncomfortable.

"Am I what mom?"

"Are you -- cheating on Ethan?" She asks slowly and carefully.

My eyes widen at her question. If only I were with someone I actually like.

"If you are -- which I hope you are not – but, if you are you can tell me anything mamita. I will not judge you." Taking my hand in hers she squeezes it tight. God, I want to blurt out everything that has happened this past horrible week. But I cannot do it. My dad would go all macho man crazy go hunt Kane down and shoot him. Not that I mind, but still. My dad would be the one dead.

I stay quiet for a few seconds until I feel my tears roll down my face. "Ethan –I --we..." It is hard to find my words.

Taking a deep breath, I look at my mom straight in the eyes and begin my 'explanations'. "Ethan and I broke up last night that is why I spent the night at Tatiana's (lie). We were growing apart (lie) so I decided to take a break from our relationship (lie)."

"Oh! I am so sorry honey. I had no idea. I thought you guys were doing fine." She says bringing me into a hug.

"Yeah. I thought so too (until Satan came into the picture). I will be okay (lie again). We just need to figure things out." Like how not to have him be killed by Kane!

Pulling away she wipes the tears from my eyes. "Maybe a little break will do you both some good. It is your senior year and you both will be going away to college soon. You guys are still young and if it is meant to be, it will be."

If only that were true. We were meant to be. It is just that it will never be if Kane has something to do about it.

"Yeah, I guess. I just miss him that is all." I shrug and fake smile.

"You will. It will take time, and who knows. You both might realize that this time apart is a good thing and be back together by Homecoming. You will see." She smiles with hope in her eyes. My parents adore Ethan, especially her. I know she hoped we would get married after we graduated college.

"Maybe." Whispering not wanting to think about the what ifs.

"Can I ask you something Helena?"

Nodding my head yes, she asks. "If you are not cheating on Ethan and you guys broke up? Then who is the guy covered in tattoos from head to toe? Is he your rebound guy?"

My eyes almost pop out of my eyes. How the HELL am I going to explain Lucifer to her?

My parents left a few hours ago out of town to some work trip my father had to go to. My mom sometimes accompanies him except this time she wanted to stay home to have a mom/daughter weekend. I convinced her otherwise. Not that I do not want to spend time with her. It is just that Kane is going to be picking me up in about an hour to torment me and I do not want my parents to meet him. I will try my best to keep them from meeting each other.

Currently in my room I hear a notification from the cell that Kane demanded I have indicating there is a text. Picking it up I open the message.

From Kane Your ONE and ONLY: Hey Princess, miss me already? Be ready in an hour. Will be picking you up and you better be ready. Oh, make sure you wear something sexy. I want to show you off to everyone who is around. Can't wait to see you and maybe taste you later if you behave.

Grunting at the last part I toss the cell on my bed. "Why does he torment me so much?" I scream out of frustration. I hate him.

Sighing, I decide to go to my closet to see what 'sexy' outfit I am going to wear for him. I was just going to wear something casual since I have no idea what he has planned. Guess now I have to put effort in my outfit. Ugh! I really do not want to go out, especially with him. Once people see us it will make it official between Kane and I. Though it will never be that way in my eyes.

Finally picking out an appropriate outfit I start to get dressed. Having already taken a shower earlier it will not take too long.

Twenty minutes later I glance at myself in the full-length mirror at what I chose to wear for this so called 'first date'. I seriously do not care about it or care what Kane thinks of it.

The doorbell rings which I find surprising. Checking the time, I head down the stairs. Kane could not be these early. Right?

Not bothering to check who it is through the window I open the door only to be pushed aside.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FUCKING MIND OR SOMETHING?"

Narrowing my eyes at her I respond. "Hello to you too." Closing the door after.

"Hello? Hello? Is that all you have to say to me? What about telling me what your problem is? How about that?" she bellows.

"I do not know what you mean?" I say passing her to head to the living room.

She follows me without saying a word until we reach the living room.

"Stop acting stupid Helena. Why did you break up with Ethan?" Blurting out as she stands in front of me.

I stare back at her without saying anything. "I had to." I whisper looking away from her. There is no way I can tell her.

"You had to? Why? So, you can be with that gang leader from the Skullz? Is that why you broke Ethan's heart to be with a murderer?" She spits causing me to look at her.

"Do not act surprised Helena. You know who he is. Everyone in this whole damn state knows who Kane 'the Ripper' Cruz is! Now you are fucking him?"

If I still did not consider Tatiana my best friend, I would have slapped her. "You know nothing!" I yell glaring at her.

"Obviously because you have not said anything to me! I am supposed to be your best friend, Helena. We tell each other everything, and I figured that maybe you would tell me the part when you decided that you would break up with the one guy who worships the ground you walk on for scum like Kane Cruz who will use you then throw you away like you are shit under his shoe!"

I continue to glare at her. "That is not what happened. I love Ethan with all of my heart!"

"Funny way of showing it by dumping him in front of half the school at the game then running off to Kane and letting Ethan see him kissing you in front of him. You know what that did to him? He is broken Helena. Heartbroken all because you felt like crushing on the guy who saved you from being raped. Is that how you wanted to repay him? By being his side WHORE!"

SLAP...

My hand stings after I slap her. How dare she call me a whore when she was the one who left me alone at that party with drunk guys? All while she was giving her ass to some random douche.

Her head stays tilted to the side after the slap. Slowly she turns it to glare at me.

"You were the whore that left me alone Saturday night to give your ass to some drunken college douche bag that was not going to remember your name the next day! I was almost raped because I was looking for you after pinky swearing you would not leave me alone! YOU left me! Kane would not have met me if I was not searching for you. So do not dare call me a whore when you have no clue the HELL I have gone through this past week. I love Ethan -- I had no choice." Whispering as I turn around.

There is silence. I cannot believe we have both lost our tempers, especially me. No matter what happened Tatiana is my best friend.

I hear her footsteps from behind me. "We all have choices Helena. Because of my stupid choice you got assaulted and I will forever be sorry for leaving you alone. I was drunk and selfish, but you..." She chuckles. "You had a choice to stay away from Kane's advances. You had a choice to say no to him, and you had the choice to not break the heart of the best boyfriend any girl can only wish for. You hurt him and broke his heart, and I do not think he will ever get over it. Or ever forgive you for leaving him for another guy." With those words she turns on her heels to leave but halts to turns around.

"You look nice by the way. I am assuming since you love Ethan so fucking much, you are trying to move on by going out with -- him. Hope he helps you forget because I know Ethan, and I will not." Turning back around she stomps out of the living room.

At the front door, I hear her open the door then grumble. "Great! Here is the superhero now! Have fun using my friend!" Tatiana snaps and when I turn the corner, I see her glaring at Kane who has a smug look on his face.

"Tatiana, right? Andre's little sister. Are you not the reason why I had to save your best friend from being raped from two drunk sick fucks because you were getting banged from behind? By the way. How is that guy you fucked? Has he called you yet?" Kane sneers.

The shock on her face says it all. She looks over at me embarrassed and teary eyed. Running off to her car she gets in and speeds off.

I stand there numb. I lost Ethan and I think may have lost my best friend. All because of the arrogant sociopath in front of me.

Kane stares at me with a smirk. "Was it something I said?"

Glaring at him I shake my head in disbelieve. He has some nerve!

Walking up to me with a grin he stops in front of me. Looking me up and down he licks his bottom lip. "Damn princess. When I told you to wear something sexy, mmm. You really did clean up." Pulling me towards him he lowers his face to the crook of my neck inhaling my perfume. Feeling his lips on my neck he moans. "You look beautiful. I cannot wait to take you home later."

Pulling away I snap. "Can we go now before I lose my appetite?"

Chuckling he shakes his head from side to side. "You do not learn, do you princess?" Grabbing the back of my neck forcefully he pulls me to his chest whispering in my ear. "I am trying to be a nice boyfriend by taking my girl out for a nice night out. Hence being our first date. So, I suggest you be a really good girl and not piss me off. Unless you want me to take you back to my place and punish you. In a different way?" He hisses.

Gulping I shake my head no. "Good. Now, get your things so I can take you out to dinner. My beautiful Helena." Leaning down he kisses me on the lips still holding the back of my neck.

He pulls away with a smirk. Turning around to go back inside to get my things he slaps my ass making me jump.

"I love your ass in those leather shorts baby girl. I think you want to turn me on tonight."

"In your dreams Kane." Rolling my eyes I head inside. I just need to survive tonight.

"Do not worry princess. My dreams always come true." Laughing in a cynical way caused me to shiver in a bad way.

Hello my readers...sorry I haven't updated in a while...have been busy and I was trying to update and edit my other stories...hope you like this update...I also have been annoyed by some comments...needed a break.

Kane and Helena are going out on their first date...how do you think it will go? How about the fight her and Tatiana had...will they make up later?
