living under the stars

Bakugou's PoV

I walked off in a random direction from school, I didn't care where I was going but I'm definitely not going back home. I decided to keep walking and see if there was anywhere I could stay without being near annoying ass people and without stinking to fucking hell.

I saw a bridge as I grew too tired to search for much longer, I sat down on the railings of it and got into a more comfortable position. I picked up a few stones from the ground near me and began skipping them across the surface of the water. Since it was sunset the water reflected the sky's purples and oranges. The ripples looked amazing as the stones skidded past them.

This reminds me of when I was younger and I'd go mountain climbing with my uncle, he'd always take me to see such amazing views. He'd always say some cheesy quote to go with the surroundings.
"The rain may seem bad right now but look around, all these trees and plants need that rain to grow and live."
[Just made these quotes up now so they're pretty bad, sorry]
I still go mountain climbing today, even if it's not with my uncle. It helps me calm down and take a step away from reality. Sometimes, Uncle's old sayings would sound in my head when I saw something he commented on.
"Each tree needs to absorb as much sunshine as possible. They can grow taller to outdo the other trees, they become wider if there's more space for them to grow without the other trees getting in the way. People can be like trees too, always growing in different ways"
Was one of his stranger thoughts. I never understood any of them anyway.

I pushed all the thoughts aside, I don't need to hear the ramblings of a dead man.

I threw another stone more violently than the rest and it sunk immediately right as my phone began buzzing. I checked the caller. It was just the old hag. I let the phone buzz on and on as she kept on calling me over and over. I was tempted to throw it into the water and see how quickly it would sink but my parents would be pissed to find my phone in any sort of harm. I switched the phone into aeroplane mode instead and made myself comfortable. I was spending the night here after all.
"Living under the stars is one of the blessings that mother nature gave to us to cherish."
Pffft. Blessings.

I curled up into a ball and shut my eyes.
When I slept, I dreamt of boy with red hair and a beautiful smile.
[It was a child friendly dream ya nasties]
